it's hilarious that you and Ganerumo are adamantly defending or shitting on this game at any given opportunity ok we get it you like and hate the game just move on with your life jesus christ lol i mean just wow you actually made not one but two videos specifically to defend the game
< 2 minutes of video. Oh wow yeah man that is such a waste of his life lol. Why wouldn't someone who is actually enjoying something try and show others why the thing is good? If you've got people spouting FUD left right and centre, and think this FUD is actually going to put people off potentially enjoying a game, what's so wrong with calling out the incorrect statements?

Last time I checked i'm allowed to freely discuss the topic at hand, so is Ganerumo even though we clearly disagree with eachother.

The game looks decent (it just lacks the proper artistic direction to look good), the digital trips are fun, fucking around with people can be entertaining, the personal details on each individuals is fun, there's quite a lot of recorded lines and more stupid texting you can read, the crafting system that allows you to create stuff on the go while you fight is decent (which is mainly because it was taken right from The Last of Us), and the first person driving camera is fun although hard to use in a lot of situations due to having no field of view whatsoever. Oh and taking the tram is amusing.
what's so wrong with calling out the incorrect statements?
Nothing, unless it's Watch Dogs
It's a sack of shit. Doesn't look anything like the pre-release content, runs like shit, full of bugs and lacks game content. You got scammed and you enjoyed it too.
You sound like a very happy and fulfilled person
Yeah I really wish this game bombed so Ubisoft and other big developers would have even more reason to be resistant to producing new IPs
You sound like a very happy and fulfilled person
Nah, I just find it sad when the state of new games is condensed to: Make a few trailers about your new concept game and use advertising/E3/media to start up the hype train. Then over promise and under deliver knowing that your "loyal" fans are always there to drop wads for less production quality. Rinse and repeat yearly or so. It sucks. That's a terrible state for gaming to be in. What are the big advancements in gaming technology we've gotten in the past few years? Motion controls and similar graphics? The gaming market has become stagnant with all of the big name publishers promising great ~`*AAA*`~ games without improving or creating anything new, for the same price.
I'm not sure if this game is good or not, but i'm glad it's getting alot of good public rep. Hopefully this can push the other big developers into making new ip's instead of just releasing sequels. That's my opinion though.

Why bother putting forth any effort into new ideas when you can easily capitalize off of the stupidity of the mainstream and make more money by doing less? Though, I'm personally enjoying the game. Then again, I didn't really pay much attention to much of the media coverage. I saw that E3 trailer they showed like, a year or two ago, and that was it. The only thing that pissed me off was how uPlay kept fucking up the first few days. I wish Ubisoft would learn that if you're putting your game on something like Steam, take your own shitty proprietary DRM off of it first. It's unnecessary, as Steam acts as a form of DRM in itself. There's not really much reason to add an additional layer of DRM on top of another, especially when one layer begins to make the game difficult to even start up.
You haven't actually played the game have you? It's not perfect, but it's a fun game.
The story is ridiculous and and the character design is made for angsty teenagers wet "hackz0r skills" dreams, holy fuck there even is a gothic chick and a "cool asian killer" dude.
Say what you will about the game, but the main theme kicks total ass (I haven't played it so I'm not actually sure if it's the main theme but whatever)

It's not a radio.
its the assasins creed 1 of the series bunch of good ideas, some stuff in the game is bugged to hell, some bad ideas. the second game might be similar to assassins creed 2. According to all of the negative opinions i've seen in every watch dogs related thread you'd think this was the first game these people that didn't live up to their hype, changed since the first trailer and had a buggy launch. Truly it has never happened before. I've had loads of fun with the driving even on keyboard, they do actually handle really well, sound good, look good etc. but the obvious issue is the damage physics being a tad shit, I understand they probably wanted to encourage you to focus more on using hacks to take out other cars nor did they want to try to get you to emulate GTA in the fact that you should ram everything and run everyone down forever but the option would at least be nice. I do genuinely see that they weren't trying to go for GTA 2.0 in the fact that various things show they didn't want that sort of mindless gameplay, they punish you for gunning down civilians and going out of your way to kill cops which would instantly like deter most of the kiddies who play GTA for that sort of thing and I personally couldn't be happier with that reputation system working like it does. Stealth is actually an option, line of sight works pretty well with the AI, there's a shit ton of side missions, investigations and digital trips to do, the gunplay is average but is still fucking godly now that we have free aim for mouse n keyboard rather than trying to make precise shots with a controller and the graphics continue to still look really good, i've been playing black flag recently and it looks marginally better than that bar the days looking washed out, which is high praise considering it now is definitely the best looking open world game I've played. Even if the contrast and colours are a bit off, that could be fixed with a SweetFX injector (Which I have done) and boom problem solved. Again seriously like most of the dedicated haters either haven't played it not because they "KNEW IT WAS SHIT BEFORE IT CAME OUT" or "READ A PRE-REVIEW" or have barely given it any time to explore everything, it does take some time for all of the features to be unlocked, missions become available and so on.
I borrowed a friends copy of the game on PS4. I have some serious thoughts about this. Driving is both shit, and okay. It's really, really not nearly as good as GTA, and every car feels really similar except the stand out sports cars, but even then, all of the sports cars feel the same. Driving around, I accidentally kill civilians, this is almost unavoidable with the floaty brick like cars, so the moral system is also pretty stupid. The story so far as I've seen it is really bland and I already hate Aiden. The game looks nice, it has a really nice feel to it. Hate on the graphics is a little overdone, but it certainly is lacking in atmospheric touches like smoke and wind and fog and real shadows, but still, a nice looking game. Looks fine, but not amazing. It also runs pretty mediocre even on PS4. Pop in on screen is bad and it's not all that amazing. Gunplay is fine, average, but fine.
That's how I always thought of the first AC game. It's my favorite in the series, yet it's the least fun to play.
I liked that you actually assassinated people in Assassins Creed 1
< 2 minutes of video. Oh wow yeah man that is such a waste of his life lol. Why wouldn't someone who is actually enjoying something try and show others why the thing is good?
its the assasins creed 1 of the series bunch of good ideas, some stuff in the game is bugged to hell, some bad ideas. the second game might be similar to assassins creed 2. A bunch of amazing streamlined ideas that make a amazing game.
Personally I think AssCreed 1 is the best in the series. It's the only game in the series where the whole templars vs. assassins business was treated somewhat morally ambiguous and unlike the other games in the series it's pretty much all about assassinating people. I would love to see a game with a similar setup as AssCreed 1 but a bit more freeform, where you are given the name and location of your target and you're goal is to find out a bunch of information about the target and try to find the perfect opportunity to kill him without attracting to much attention. Think Hitman meets AssCreed.
um no this is obsessive and sad
Discussing the topic at hand is obsessive and sad? Man I really wasted my life keeping myself busy while at work. I recorded 2 mins of video by playing the game and hitting 2 buttons to save captured content , and upload to YouTube. The sad thing here is you judging others lives over a discussion about a game. You have any better ideas of what to do at work to pass the time?
Whatever you think of the actual game, you have to admit that the marketing department did its job.
Sending beeping safes is what put them ahead on the marketing curve. Also the idiot curve.
90% of the people I've seen giving really detailed criticisms of watch dogs haven't played it and yeah, it's a damned fun game that still looks absolutely amazing.
"Still looks amazing" GTA IV looks better than it, which is not acceptable as GTA IV was a previous-gen game, this game should ATLEAST graphically blow a previous-gen game out of the water. But it doesn't, GTA IV was released SEVEN years ago - and I'm only comparing GTA IV as they are of similar genre of game, there's no excuse for being graphically worse than a game 7 years ago for a "Next-gen game". It's not a BAD game to say, it's just really fucking mediocre.

The game looks better due to high res textures and on most things on PCs and next gen consoles than GTA4 or 5 vanilla do. As much as I like the look of watch dogs, I don't think it has as much of the detail as GTA5 does at least. I would say watch dogs looks better, but I imagine a PC or next gen GTAV would be better looking due to it's higher detail. Textures in watch dogs are their real visual strong suit.
Does it fuck, please show some screens which make vanilla gta 4 look better than watch dogs.
GTA IV does look nice in a lot of places, but that niceness is largely compared with games of around that time. The lighting is weird in places, the textures are hit and miss. But as it is a Rockstar game, there are tons of tiny details that make the world that bit nicer to look at. Though almost everybody I've seen arguing GTA IV looks nicer always bases this off of heavily modded versions using things that murder performance such as ENB, which can only do so much and also looks really fucking weird at times.
I thought it was great, I've completed the story and while the plot was evidently cheap, it was enjoyable enough and the gameplay was great. I think some people might be overrreacting.
It's great...if you haven't played AssCreed Brotherhood & forward. For me, it's "Ubisoft Game May 2014" with the same side missions of blowing up enemy bases and 20000000 collectibles
i have 20 hours in this game and haven't come across a single bug. So I mean it's pretty fun.

Here I was thinking most people on FP cry over and over again for developers to stop wasting time on the shiniest graphics, yet half the complaints about Watch Dogs are 'omg graphics suck'. Would you really be more forgiving if it had mediocre gameplay but looked good, and if so, what does that say about you as a consumer?

That IS bad for us as gamers and consumers. I hate how much gamers complain as well, but frankly, saying getting less is something we should be perfectly fine with is stupid.
