Porn Stars may from now on be proud of their work, they stop rape from happening :v:
They shouldn't really have to be ashamed in the first place
>Marijuana use linked to schizophrenia "Correlation doesn't imply causation guys!" >Porn up, rape down "Fuck yes now my addiction is justified" I am going to be very skeptical of any idea that porn/masturbation is good for you
idk, about porn, though any sexologist will tell you that masturbation is good for you. Obviously not if it gets in the way of the rest of your life though.
How about we just execute people that fantasize about rape or being raped?
Flawless plan, Femi-Hitler.
Thing is though, the reason prostitution involves drugs, sanitary issues and what have you is because of the illegality of it. If it became a legal, controlled thing, those problems stop being a part of it. The issue is demonizing sex workers as second class citizens instead of protecting and assisting them. Because as soon as you do that, people in that industry become exposed to a lot of the other parts of the illegal underworld, including the drug industry. It becomes easier to exploit people if the government don't do anything to protect them, but rather, persecute them.

I have a feeling that's because prostitution is something you have to do illicitly. If there was legalization of prostitution it'd be more open with the sex workers likely to receive more support and protection, and there'd even be the chance to implement rules such as testing for STIs or safe sex practices. There'd be no need for hustling on the streets if you can keep prostitution legal but underground/relatively hidden from the public eye, particularly children.
Yeah very true, some of the nastiness can be easily minimized through actually making it legal, and there are good arguments for it, but morally it's still steeping down to a lower level. Not to mention Killuah view on the thing which seems to suggest that prostitution is not as easy to implement as you might think, and if prostitution is not implemented right by using the necessary controlling government bodies, which costs a lot of money I imagine, the results are not pretty. So, if I were to seriously consider legalizing prostitution, one of the deciding factors would be some great dire need of more tax dollars for my government. Yes, it does employ people, it generates service and income, but it does that at a cost for the government as well as worsening its image.
this article is from 2006 btw the article has no date on it but I noticed he cites nothing post-2006 so I checked out his website linked at the top of the report. You can see on there it's from 2006 as well if you search for it His site hasn't even been updated since 2012. But that's not so important, quite honestly. The main issue is that despite the sensationalist title this is NOT saying that access to porn means rape figures are reduced. He is saying there could be a correlation. His only basis is that rape has reduced over the past 25 years and that places with more internet are less likely to have rape. That is all he has. He mentions nothing of the economic standing of these areas, crime rates, number of police, state of education etc. Well, he mentions some of them very briefly near the start, but says nothing of them beyond a questionable throwaway list-
Official explanations for the unexpected decline include (1) less lawlessness associated with crack cocaine; (b) women have been taught to avoid unsafe situations; (c) more would-be rapists already in prison for other crimes; (d) sex education classes telling boys that “no means no.”
No sources, links or statistics at all (other than one showing rape numbers and an unrelated studies -ie nothing to do with rape numbers- about internet usage) This is a theory, and one with not much evidence to back it up. I don't know why it's being posted 8 years after it was written but I do know that it should absolutely not be taken as fact. Even in the extract in the OP it says;
The reverse may be true: that pornography has reduced social violence
May be true. May not be. Not enough evidence to make a proper assessment. Not in this article at least.
B-But its degrading, you shitlords!
Most of my porn is of aliens, mutants, and robots. If they want to lodge a complaint, I will take it very seriously.
"Abstract: Places with good infrastructure have lower rates of violent crime; this means porn is good because I said so. Ronald Reagan is the devil."
In other news, bears still shit in the woods. We all need to vent that built-up steam lest we end up taking it out on others, with different steam requiring different outlets.
but the feminist agenda says porn objectifies women and makes men into rapacious rape machines that go and rape women
How about we just execute people that fantasize about rape or being raped?
Man.. whats with people not understanding the difference between reality and fantasy? Feminists, puritanical conservatives... why do they gotta control everything?
but the feminist agenda says porn objectifies women and makes men into rapacious rape machines that go and rape women
u dont know what feminism is
u dont know what feminism is
Feminism isn't a united movement. Feminists disagree on alot of different issues and one of the big ones is sexuality.
Why not make slavery legal too? I mean let's face it. If I want it myself, then I should also have the right to sign myself off as a slave to somebody to use me according to the contract. It may include selling me to another owner, and it may include depriving me of the right to leave and/or to refuse to work, but as long as I agree to it, right?
You're bat-shit crazy
Feminism isn't a united movement. Feminists disagree on alot of different issues and one of the big ones is sexuality.
Yea I am well aware but his post still sucked cos he assumed all feminists are man-haters which is wrong and stupid
The only legit concern about prositiution are STD's, everything else is just "god condenmns it/because society thinks its taboo"

If we legalized prostitution I am sure rape would be a very rare occurence. It's safer for everyone that way. But with how so many religions preaching against prostitution and how society views sex as a great big taboo, that aint gonna happen anytime soon.
It's not really enough to simply legalize prostitution, it needs worksafe protocols, licensing and abuse watchdogs and stuff just like any other industry. Not saying it shouldn't happen of course, but the whole issue really needs a 2 prong approach to get off the ground because "yep, it's legal" doesn't really solve the problem of abusive pimping or prostitution being an actively dangerous job (common target for murderers and such) Seems like having licensed brothels, or managed "prostitute booths" would be the best way to go about it, and have government agents come in into establishments to check employee/customer health to make sure condoms are being used religiously and that there's no organised crime attempting to muscle their way into the businesses.
Yea I am well aware but his post still sucked cos he assumed all feminists are man-haters which is wrong and stupid
you don't know what sarcasm is
your sarcasm was almost as shitty as your post [editline]8th September 2014[/editline] u still clearly dont give a shit about feminism and think its a joke enough to make fun of though which is bad
u still clearly dont give a shit about feminism and think its a joke enough to make fun of though which is bad
There are feminists that think that pornography makes men rape women by dehumanizing and objectifying them. Also, joking about something is bad now?
yes i am a feminist who thinks the porn industry is shitty and misogynistic and objectifies and takes advantage of women and should be destroyed but it doesn't make men who watch it rapists (quite the contrary if we're to believe what this article puts forward) And his joke was in poor taste is my point. He's taking the piss out of feminism and insulting feminists whether he was joking or not. Like, a racist joke is still racism. Similar deal.
yes i am a feminist who thinks the porn industry is shitty and misogynistic and objectifies and takes advantage of women.
Just curious, what is your opinion about men? Gay and non gay porn actors.
yes i am a feminist who thinks the porn industry is shitty and misogynistic and objectifies and takes advantage of women
Even to women who chose to be a pornstar and like it? Edit: Just a clarification question btw, not against you or anything
Rape down, porn up, thats the way I like to fuck! [editline]8th September 2014[/editline]
I would like to thank the following women for satisfying my lust for sex so I cannot resort to extreme measures: - Lisa Ann - Bianca Beauchamp - Lenka Gaborova - Lela Star - Denise Milani - Susana Spears - Madison Ivy - Lacey Duvalle - Heather Vandeven - Tori Black - Little Caprice - Capri Anderson - Shay Laren - Bryci - Amy Reid - and many more too many to name. You girls are an inspiration for women everywhere.
That´s seriously still horrible to say. Without porn you´d rape?
i'm not sure how heavily regulated the porn industry is tbh i could totally see some people getting taken advantage of
Just curious, what is your opinion about men? Gay and non gay porn actors.
Well as I said I think the industry is comprised of people taking advantage of women who are not really in a good place a lot of the time and I think it makes you a real piece of shit to profit off of that. I assume most men in the porn industry do not believe in equal rights (cos if they did I really doubt they'd work in such a disgusting industry). Even James Deen who has a big female following (unusually large for a male star) and was considered a bit of a feminist icon within the industry (I don't know why cos im pretty sure he hasnt said anything particularly impressive in that sense) thinks rape is nbd and jokes about it and stuff like he doesnt respect women and if you watch videos you can hear the guys just being really disgusting to women and disrespecting them to fuck like I know it sounds dumb to say cos like it's porn but they barely acknowledge that they are people and it's pretty fucked up. they literally just look at them as fuck-dolls which just perpetuates that image to both men and women. I'm not against porn or anything, I've no disdain towards sex workers of any kind and I support their decisions like it is a legitimate career path, I just think the state of the industry is horrific and full of misogyny and it barely treats women as people. It's not the porn stars I'm against, it's the people they work for. As for the gay industry I can't really comment, I assume it's different companies. Probably a similar deal.
I still think the banning of lolicon increases the sexual frustration in pedophiles tho. And thats no good.
Maybe people who jerk it to loli should make the effort to seek help too, instead of spending hours of defending it online.
Even to women who chose to be a pornstar and like it? Edit: Just a clarification question btw, not against you or anything
It's not the women who star in the videos I dislike, it's the people who make them. More power to porn stars imo, they are really shittily represented and so many people are as quick to shit all over them and call them sluts and second-class citizens as they are to jerk it to their videos. Including their bosses.
Rapists watch porn... save the children from the same fate!

How did that ever come as a good idea to you? [editline]8th September 2014[/editline]
Or you know, people look at porn, jerk off and thus fulfill their sexual needs.
Ya jerking off constantly is nothing like actually having sex, and watching videos of people fucking doesn't exactly simulate it.
i'm not sure how heavily regulated the porn industry is tbh i could totally see some people getting taken advantage of
Informative tumblr post incoming: http://luaren.tumblr.com/post/79627230804/yeah-because-you-can-totally-tell-how-smart-i-am-based But alas, being tumblr, it ends on a delightful sentiment: "if these links aka fucking cold hard proof dont make you stop watching it, i hope you drop dead" I'd ignore that bit.
