You've been trolled. Well done.
yup, he sure got me. (User was banned for this post ("Meme" - verynicelady))
Well in my opinion the more idiots with nuclear weapons the worse off we are. And by idiots I mean any country that's trying to get nuclear weapons, whether it were Iran or even another western country. And I'm pretty sure a lot of people feel that way. But most people realize starting WW3 would be a lot worse. So I don't see a contradiction here.
... For a world war to start, Iran needs to have allies. What allies do they have? North Korea, through their mutual hatred of the U.S.?
By the IAEA's own reports, Iran is not cooperating fully, will not allow them to verify all material is accounted for, is constructing additional plants that IAEA inspectors are not allowed into and is not implementing some requested safety protocols.
Well then sir, we have a problem.
The most likely scenario is that with the Iranian government doing such damage to their own people, support for them wanes, riots break out and they are overthrown by their own people.
even better, have an easily malleable new government right next door
Either, nothing will happen. or Shit gets blown up. Sort of a win win...sorta
... For a world war to start, Iran needs to have allies. What allies do they have? North Korea, through their mutual hatred of the U.S.?
Pretty much every country and militia that hates Israel.
... For a world war to start, Iran needs to have allies. What allies do they have? North Korea, through their mutual hatred of the U.S.?
They have really good relations with NK, as well as Russia. Hell, Russia is the one building the nuclear plant.
... For a world war to start, Iran needs to have allies. What allies do they have?
Most of the region is incredibly anti-Israel. An "unprovoked" attack on Iran would bring many of them running to help.
You're a moron. [editline]05:49AM[/editline] More like Israel's little bitch.
No u. Anyways Israels little lapdog US will probably come to the rescue, and what country does the US have as a defense power in case of war - Sweden, yes sweden will also be dragged into this if it happens. I hope Barrack makes the wise choice to let Israel fight their own battle for once.
They have really good relations with NK, as well as Russia. Hell, Russia is the one building the nuclear plant.
I doubt Russia would be willing to risk open conflict with a nation like Israel. They may provide Iran and other nations in the area with support, but they wouldn't get directly involved. It would spur sharp condemnation from the U.S.
No u. I hope Barrack makes the wise choice to let Israel fight their own battle for once.
The fuck, this is a bit of a logical jump?
They have really good relations with NK, as well as Russia. Hell, Russia is the one building the nuclear plant.
NK won't do squat, because they couldn't afford to. Russian relations with Iran are purely economical. Russia wouldn't get involved in something like a war.
Most of the region is incredibly anti-Israel. An "unprovoked" attack on Iran would bring many of them running to help.
This has happened to Israel many a time. The only difference now is that Israel has allies surrounding them, such as Jordan and Egypt. They wouldn't get involved in the war, but the attack on the homefront would not be there like many times before.
NK's gonna be a huge help if they go to war, aren't they? Russia is also on good terms with them because they are paying them. In a pinch, Russia would choose to ally with the Western world over Iran.
By the IAEA's own reports, Iran is not cooperating fully, will not allow them to verify all material is accounted for, is constructing additional plants that IAEA inspectors are not allowed into and is not implementing some requested safety protocols.
They still are within IAEA standards. And why do they need inspectors in every single plant. Name one nation that allows the IAEA to inspect every single nuclear plant they have.
The fuck, this is a bit of a logical jump?
No no sweden has actually agreed to be a försvars makt for the US in case of war. Read about it.
They still are within IAEA standards. And why do they need inspectors in every single plant. Name one nation that allows the IAEA to inspect every single nuclear plant they have.
The protocols probably aren't retroactive, so why should they? They inspect all new US reactors though.
The protocols probably aren't retroactive, so why should they? They inspect all new US reactors though.
"Probably" and other assumptions are meaningless. If you have a source, than paste it.
"Probably" and other assumptions are meaningless. If you have a source, than paste it.
I can't be bothered. I only posted in this thread to point out something that Facepunch does when it comes to something that involves Israel.
They still are within IAEA standards. And why do they need inspectors in every single plant. Name one nation that allows the IAEA to inspect every single nuclear plant they have.
I think it's more of an issue proving there are countries that refuse them inspection to all plants. I couldn't find anything about it and as far as I can tell, the only place they could possibly hide Uranium is in the Nuclear Submarines as they are classified as state secrets.
The protocols probably aren't retroactive, so why should they? They inspect all new US reactors though.
The US hasn't build any reactors since the 70s :frogbon:
The US hasn't build any reactors since the 70s
The new ones were the ones built after the IAEA's establishement as the U.N. body for Nuclear power.
Of which have been inspected.
So the US has a variety of secret Nuclear power plants which no-one knows about. I see a few problems with this theory.
So the US has a variety of secret Nuclear power plants which no-one knows about. I see a few problems with this theory.
Haha, I had to edit it because it brought the opposite message to what I meant! soooo tired
NK's gonna be a huge help if they go to war, aren't they? Russia is also on good terms with them because they are paying them. In a pinch, Russia would choose to ally with the Western world over Iran.
With the North Korean military having absolutely zero expeditionary capabilities, any support is going to be a token amount (like their news station spewing out anti-US propaganda and so on). Russia? They recently voted for new sanctions against Iran in the UN. Zero chance of seeing Russia becoming a belligerent.
Haha, I had to edit it because it brought the opposite message to what I meant! soooo tired
Alrighty then, I'll respond to your edit here. The IAEA was formed in 1957 and have always been independant from the UN but still do work for them. The last plant built in the US was the River Bend plant in Louisiana in 1977. They haven't started any new ones since then and all plants are inspected by both US institutions and international organisations.
If Israel does this, they're making a huge mistake. Just the fact they considered it is ridiculous. The whole middle east needs to chill the fuck out. Or destroy itself and leave the rest of the world out of it.
If Israel does this, they're making a huge mistake. Just the fact they considered it is ridiculous. The whole middle east needs to chill the fuck out.
Until the U.S decides to stop being Israel's little bitch, the world will be involved.
Considering Israel has a significant arsenal in response, even without US support they could do nicely against Iran. Remember that Iran is working towards Nuclear weapons while Israel already has them.
If Israel does this, they're making a huge mistake.
Why? (User was banned for this post ("Trolling or dumb" - verynicelady))
Why?
What is wrong with you, are you that pro-Israel that you'd even support them bombing Iran taking the repercussions into account? [editline]10:50AM[/editline] http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/article1290331.ece
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/article1290331.ece

January 7, 2007
Yeah, look how that turned out.
Yeah, look how that turned out.
That's irrelevant. They don't have to attack them on that date, if they plan a nuclear strike in 2007, that doesn't mean it's not going to happen anymore if three years pass. [editline]11:01AM[/editline] It was just revealed that they have plans for the future to nuke Iran, first. [editline]11:02AM[/editline] (And probably bullshit and say "It was preemptive!!")
