Wow. These are a good set of rules. Republican party: You have the ears of a libertarian listening once more.
Republicans bring change you can believe in.
Not all Republicans are bible thumping, ignorant red-necks afraid of change, black people and homosexuals. Oh, and Muslims.
A whole .5% of FP actually knows this.
I don't get why everyone hates the republicans on this forum.
I don't understand why the republicans are stopping the use of technology on the floor, you'd think they'd be good to look up stats to help you debate the validity of different things.
First, all bills and joint resolutions submitted for approval will be required to have an accompanying statement explaining their Constitutional authority.
this is the job of the supreme court, not congress
this is the job of the supreme court, not congress
Hopefully this can save pointless callings of the court then.

Because some republicans believe in retarded things like stopping stem cell, young-earth creationism, trickle-down economy theory, lower taxes for the rich, lower the budgets for various social programs etc.
Because some republicans believe in retarded things like stopping stem cell, young-earth creationism, trick-down economy theory, lower taxes for the rich, lower the budgets for various social programs etc.
Not all of them.
the republican platform as a whole is retarded
What a joke. Once they get in office they treat the public like the Jehovah's Witnesses, and avoid you like the plague. I like how they're posting it online (72 hours isn't long enough to be honest though) But as if Americans being able to say something about it will change the fact. There are protests every single day that number thousands and they never do shit
Except they do? If a senator gets enough phone calls they will most definitely take it into account. That shit happens all the time.
I don't understand why the republicans are stopping the use of technology on the floor, you'd think they'd be good to look up stats to help you debate the validity of different things.
The House is now like high school. I can imagine some Representative's parent coming in after a meeting to retrieve his cell phone. :v:
this is the job of the supreme court, not congress
The Supreme Court only goes through about 100 cases per year. It would be a lot simpler if they tried to keep shit as constitutional as possible so it didn't have to go through the Supreme Court.
Not all of them.
I'm guessing there's more in the republicans than the democrats, you can confirm this just by looking at each parties platform.
the republican platform as a whole is retarded
They're platform is on the basis of fiscal responsibility and abiding to constitutional restraints and procedure. Of course the basic platform is often ignored. You CANNOT say their platform is retarded, though.

No, it isn't at all. That is the Constitution Party.
The symbol of our unity, to which we all pledge allegiance, is the flag. By whatever legislative method is most feasible, Old Glory should be given legal protection against desecration. We condemn decisions by activist judges to deny children the opportunity to say the Pledge of Allegiance in public school.
so very rational
Because our children’s future is best preserved within the traditional understanding of marriage, we call for a constitutional amendment that fully protects marriage as a union of a man and a woman, so that judges cannot make other arrangements equivalent to it. In the absence of a national amendment, we support the right of the people of the various states to affirm traditional marriage through state initiatives.
look how reasonable they are
Courts must have the option of imposing the death penalty in capital murder cases and other instances of heinous crime, while federal review of those sentences should be streamlined to focus on claims of innocence and to prevent delaying tactics by defense attorneys.
lol death penalty
We will not replace the current system with the staggering inefficiency, maddening irrationality, and uncontrollable costs of a government monopoly.
because our health care system is so efficient
I just looked at the GOP's platform on the environment.
The same human economic activity that has brought freedom and opportunity to billions has also increased the amount of carbon in the atmosphere. While the scope and long-term consequences of this are the subject of ongoing scientific research, common sense dictates that the United States should take measured and reasonable steps today to reduce any impact on the environment. Those steps, if consistent with our global competitiveness will also be good for our national security, our energy independence, and our economy. Any policies should be global in nature, based on sound science and technology, and should not harm the economy
wat?
the national security page is a hoot
I just looked at the GOP's platform on the environment.
wat?
"We'll help the environment if it doesn't hurt our economy"
when they get in they say:
"it'll always hurt the economy, fuck the environment"
Yea, but they are basically saying in that paragraph they concede that climate change exists but whenever you bring it up to a Republican they say "DEBATE! NO EVIDENCE! LIES AND AGENDAS!"
:ssh: this is just a front by the republicans to block any sort of liberal or progressive legislation
Yea, but they are basically saying in that paragraph they concede that climate change exists but whenever you bring it up to a Republican they say "DEBATE! NO EVIDENCE! LIES AND AGENDAS!"
"effect on the environment" and the world changing Global Warming theory are two different things.
"effect on the environment" and the world changing Global Warming theory are two different things.
so you're saying global warming is a giant scam
please tell us your reasoning for this
so you're saying global warming is a giant scam

I think he was explaining the Republican's stance on the environment, not his own personal belief.
