EA loves the frostbite engine don't they?
Hopefully they don't mess it up massively like ME3
Alright, the ending was kind of lame, but don't over exaggerate it. It wasn't "massively" messed up.
The first game had terrible gameplay.
Only in retrospect, the first time I played it, I loved it. Now I can't even bring myself to start it up.
They could always make it entirely based in Asari space or Turrian space, before humans even showed up, with no humans in the game whatsoever. There's a ton of ways they could take this game. Using Frostbite is interesting. I dunno, I'm excited about the news.

Mass Effect 4: Bad Company 3 Now with more first person shooter
Mass Effect 4: Bad Company 3 Now with more first person shooter
Hey, as long as the story is good I would have no problem with a Mass Effect FPS.
Alright, the ending was kind of lame, but don't over exaggerate it. It wasn't "massively" messed up.
It was fucking terrible. Also I hope they have a brand-spanking new story-arc, because half of the fun of Mass Effect was learning new things about the universe. I don't want to learn about what I already know.
How would I know what choices are renegade when everything is blue and lighter blue.
Well looks like EPIC will have to start actually making games of their own again. If things continue as they're going these days.
I liked Mass Effect 3's ending.
Need Mirror's Edge 2 with Frostbite engine
I liked Mass Effect 3's ending.
That's okay, we all have our inner demons.
please be like mass effect 1 please please be like mass effect 1
That's not necessarily good news, Medal Of Honor Warfighter used Frostbite engine and it looked average. [editline]13th November 2012[/editline] ME2 and 3 used unreal engine 3 and they didn't look as good as Arkham City.

Frostbite 2? Are we playing as a krogan?
please be like mass effect 1 please please be like mass effect 1
I disagree. It should be the best elements of all three games, rather than just relying on ME1 (which, while great, has quite a few faults). An ideal mashup, in my opinion, would include the following: - Storytelling from Mass Effect 1 - 'Sense of Scale' from Mass Effect 1 - Character writing and development from Mass Effect 2 - Character interactions from Mass Effect 3. - Combat/Level-Up mechanics from Mass Effect 3. - Demonstration of consequence from Mass Effect 2's Suicide Mission and Mass Effect 3's Tuchanga/Rannoch story arcs. - Visual style from Mass Effect 2 - Sound design from Mass Effect 3 - Music from Mass Effect 1 (though realistically, all the soundtracks have their merits) - Mako from Mass Effect 1. I want it back, Bioware.
Its gonna be weird to start seeing all of EA's games on the frostbite engine. They will all practically look the same.
Its gonna be weird to start seeing all of EA's games on the frostbite engine. They will all practically look the same.
I don't think that's fair. Unreal Engine 3 is the most ubiquitous engine in existence right now, and the visuals vary dramatically from game to game. I don't see why Frostbite would be any different in that respect.
Alright, the ending was kind of lame, but don't over exaggerate it. It wasn't "massively" messed up.
Considering story is the key reason people buy games from Bioware and given how they shat the bag on DA2 and SWTOR, it was a pretty colossal fuck up. It was the one title they really needed to knock out of the park and instead it ended more like a sacrifice bunt. That being said, I've kind of cooled on the whole thing now. Really the backlash was just as much a backlash against Bioware as it was against ME3. It was tension stretching back from DA2 finally exploding. I'll play a new ME game. I'd hate to see such an engaging universe die because of what happened with ME3.

I guess Mass Effect will look different since its the future and there is different materials and what not.
Still not interested. It simply won't be Mass Effect to me without Shepard and his crew.
Did you say that about the first game?

I think not having Shephard and his crew is a good thing to keep the game fresh. I don't see a problem with calling it Mass Effect either.
As long as it ain't gamebryo (or whatever do they call it now), I am down.
Mass Vega: James Edition!
This should not use the Mass Effect title.
Frostbite Edition;
Art style has nothing to do with the engine.
