That's not necessarily good news, Medal Of Honor Warfighter used Frostbite engine and it looked average.

ME2 and 3 used unreal engine 3 and they didn't look as good as Arkham City.
IIRC Hitman Absolution is using Frostbite, and it looks great and runs pretty damn well if the demo is any indication.
[editline]November 13th[/editline]
So yeah, could turn out either way really. It probably won't look worse than Unreal did, in any case.

Go for the darkest blue? :v:

The first game had terrible gameplay.
no
Guys, guys.
What if they mash Battlefield and Mass Effect together.
Then you have a non-shit singleplayer and a spectacular multiplayer.
It might just be stupid enough to work.
At least I hope they won't end up with brainfreeze and simply call it "Mass Effect 4".
Mass Effect 4: Bad Company 3
Now with more first person shooter

That demo actually looked surprisingly good. Kind of generic, but I think the video I saw was fairly early in development, so they might have planned to add more stuff.
Wait. Why are people using male pronouns for Shepard?
People actually liked the dry male voice actor?
Femshep is bestshep.

Please don't start this. We've already got the ending controversy in this thread (which I can't believe is still going after 8 months), let's not add the tired "maleshep vs femshep" debate that's been going on since fuckin' Mass Effect 1.
at least give us garrus
you can try your hardest Bioware <state> but you will not be able to create people that the community likes as much as the already existing squaddies and bros
[sp]garrus is too good to just not have a main role[/sp]

male pronouns are used all the time when referring to things with two genders.
[sp]femshep is best shep[/sp]
Oh great, here we go...
I'm partially sad. I think EA is using frostbite so much to save licensing funds. They put so much time into FB2, they wanna keep using it. Make sense, but I hope they don't put all their eggs into that engine.

the fuck is FB2?
GUYSE ITS GON BE AN FPS NAO RPEEGEE SACKS
tbh I'm fine with more games taking place in the ME universe but calling it Mass Effect when it's not part of the self-contained trilogy really burns my balls
What would they call it? I can't believe it's not Mass Effect?
the fuck is FB2?
Frostbite 2.
Frostbite 2.
Oh, I was thinking it was some sort of double typo of "BF3" :v:
Mass Effect: The Next Generation
Man, Frostbite 2 in space...
meh.
Lens flare! IN SPACE!
To be fair, Mass Effect 3 was a great game for the most part.
It's just that where they did fuck up, they fucked up badly.
the fact that I had to buy an online pass really put me off for even trying the SP at all in ME3
I think I remember that I also needed to buy something to play SP because my sister already used that copy? Hopefully that shit don't happen again.
I welcome this. Overall the Mass Effect franchise has provided me with countless hours of fun, my only problem with it was 3's ending.
Just started playing this series, haven't played 3 yet but the first two are so great that i feel like i will be able to forgive anything ME3 did wrong and am now looking forward to this one. Only bas thing is i won't be able to import my shep to the new one.
I disagree. It should be the best elements of all three games, rather than just relying on ME1 (which, while great, has quite a few faults). An ideal mashup, in my opinion, would include the following:
- Storytelling from Mass Effect 1
- 'Sense of Scale' from Mass Effect 1
- Character writing and development from Mass Effect 2
- Character interactions from Mass Effect 3.
- Combat/Level-Up mechanics from Mass Effect 3.
- Demonstration of consequence from Mass Effect 2's Suicide Mission and Mass Effect 3's Tuchanga/Rannoch story arcs.
- Visual style from Mass Effect 2
- Sound design from Mass Effect 3
- Music from Mass Effect 1 (though realistically, all the soundtracks have their merits)
- Mako from Mass Effect 1. I want it back, Bioware.
Dude that'd be like the killer game.
Altho, am I the only one who really found ME3's music to be amazing and better than ME1 / 2?
Still not interested. It simply won't be Mass Effect to me without Shepard and his crew.
Because game series can only be based around one character
Dude that'd be like the killer game.

They all had some good music. I liked the song going on during ME3's ending, just not the actual ending.
Also, I just replayed ME1, and god damn the combat is definitely better in the newer games, and my companions can't seem to hit shit.
ME is the most massively boring series I've ever played. I have no idea what people see in it.
