Not only can I dim the LED in my bedroom, but using the little remote that came with it I can also pick between 255 channels of red, green and blue to mix any colour I could conceivably want.
It can also be made to strobe among other things.
Well my Miele vacuum is 1200w and is absolutely fantastic and I couldn't imagine it being better. Now do these bans effect shop vacuums? Because my shop vacuum is 6.5hp and I'm sure that's over the 1600w.
This is just capitalism at its best. Using your governmental contacts to remove your competition. This has nothing to do with saving power. So many other things they can save the environment with. Last year or year before that, they made law against corner refrigerator. The kind that is very big. Not allowed in EU anymore. But you can still buy and own as many normal ones as you'd like. I highly doubt corner refrigerators and vacuum cleaners are high up on the "bad guys"-list when it comes environment.
EU is turning into US. People with money get to change laws so they get even more money. And we, the consumers, will lose.

I've never even HEARD of corner refrigerators before today. There's absolutely no reason they'd just ban "corner refrigerators", just because they go in a corner, that makes zero sense.

If I had the money, I'd dual wield two hoovers that were each just below the maximum wattage.

You're really not going to get anywhere with TestECull, he's super conservative about basically everything and shits up any thread about EVs making noise about how shit they are, and how ICE will never die, [insert petrolhead nonsense here]. LED bulbs are pretty great, the heat output from incandescents actually annoys me a bit now I've had CFLs in my tiny ass room at home for so long.
If you don't like sterile white light that cheap CFLs and LEDs put out, buy something that uses coloured coverings or configurable LEDs. In the long run these bulbs are pretty great for your wallet, just don't cheap out and you wont waste money.
