Krakatoa is just the renderer, it would be simulated in FumeFX.
Besides, FumeFX isn't for accurately simulating millions of individual object with gravity etc.
No shit, it was obviously a lighthearted poke at the visual lameness of their simulation. Are people so dumb as to think I was being serious? Especially since I was only talking about the rendering. Maybe they just don't visit the 3D art thread so didn't get the reference.
Imagine if we would be able to take in every factor and create a 1:1 simulation of the big bang and everything after that. We wouldn't even need telescopes anymore, we'd be able to find extraterrestrial lifeforms without ever leaving our computers.
I wish. I can't say exactly how much time i spend each day staring at and playing with that galaxy live wallpaper on my phone.
Eudoxia threads make me smarter.
(American) politics, E-news (celebrities e.t.c.) make me dumber.
It all balances out in the end.
So to the unscientific-savvy here, what is the significance of this?
Well, it's related to space and space is awesome, so this seems to be pretty damn awesome.
