So, what do these papers say? That woman didn't translate everything.
When she didn't translate it's because he started trying to explain what it was but didn't really actually conclude anything. It was just mumblejumble that holds no interest to anyone. She only translated something when it was of interest to translate or gave any meaning.
maybe the translator got it wrong
She just said what he said. He said "nitten-fjorten" which is "nineteen-fourteen", 1914.

They're back! Also, there is now a link to watch the opening again.
So now the package thing is officially over
This is the most successful thread I've ever made at least :v:

Man, reading this thread and seeing different time capsules makes me sad that I will never get to live that far into the future. Disappointing.
I wish that SD cards and shit could last forever, if they could they could put a 2tb SD card into a time capsule, and maybe some information on how it works so they could know what to do with it in some language that won't go outta date (binary?), and then they'd have plenty of data on what we once were.

The documents are old mail from the US and receipts of donations.

Surely you can't fit a piano in that box, so don't give me that shit.

Although it doesn't contain a time capsule (it contains an engraving of the continents, past present and future), a satellite mentioned on that page isn't due to re-entry for another 8,400,000 years.
I was hoping some one could come sprinting out of a time portal screaming "DON'T OPEN THE PACCKAAGGEEEE."
Oh god I love the fountain pen calligraphy, the colour of the package and the way the strings are cleverly arranged and sealed.
Definitely more classy and inspiring than today's email.
Watching that video where they unravel it was funny (but very fascinating), mail within a mail that contains a mail.
Nice to see my guess wasn't too much off the mark, letters and documents.
