President Trump Makes a Statement Regarding the Paris Accord

At least China is staying in the agreement, and hopefully rest. If I were an utter optimist, I wouldn't call it a total catastrophe yet, since I believe that the renewables and greener technologies will continue grow whetever WH says.
It is still an utterly despicable move, and I do hope that protesting gains momentum.

Like that.
And the ones that disagree with it are just going to pretend it never happened rather than speaking out against it.
I just figure that some people defending this were either climate change deniers before, or now climate change deniers since their elected president doesn't believe in it. Letting GOP/Trump shit in their mouth just to make the nearby dem/lib smell it.
So what are trump supporters going to use as a scapegoat for this? Hillary's emails again?
AMERICA DECIDES IT'S OWN DESTINY ONCE AGAIN
AMERICA FIRST!!
Some are even calling UK to come along with the "America First" as some sort of brotherhood despite the UK already ratifying the accord.
Even countries like Saudi Arabia and North Korea are "lefties" now too.
I'm glad people are finally starting to understand this. It's true. It's absofuckinglutely true.
I mean, maybe some people out there are fine with being dragged down and held back by these swine... but the majority of us are not, and we want this shit stopped immediately. We don't want our lives and the lives of the people we cared about needlessly ruined, we don't want our future to be ruined, we don't want our planet to be ruined, etc.
There's no sense in allowing things to continue like this. With everything that's at stake, we can't allow it to. We're doomed otherwise.
(Also, how ironic that you and I were just arguing about this a couple of weeks ago.)
the difference between you and me is that you see this as a failing of a political party, and I see this as a failing of the human species
and it isn't ironic. irony is an action or phrase that results in or is meant to imply the opposite of its literal intent or meaning.
Irony would be Donald Trump accidentally solving global warming in the process of pulling us out of the paris agreement.
This is just us being brought back to a topic by a series of unending crimes against intelligence
Found this part of the speech hilarious
"The rest of the world applauded when we signed the Paris agreement," Trump said Thursday. "They went wild, they were so happy, for the simple reason that it put our country — the United States of America, which we all love — at a very, very big economic disadvantage."
Maybe, just maybe everyone was happy because America was the second largest emitter of greenhouse gases at the time, and because the US agreed despite a large political faction opposing any manner of environmental regulation.
I find the claims that Trump might have dementia to be inconclusive and somewhat low-brow, but this is a weird, paranoid thing for a president to say.
And what would that accomplish? It doesn't seems like it would change much of anything, given the strong polarized politics of your country. What needs to happen is for the current goverment you got to blast off into space, which i don't see as something happening soon. The truth of the matter is the US will continue with Trump's course, big business will like it, and it will be all dealt with in a matter of months.
Trump's weakness is his fragile ego. He still cares enough about his small inauguration crowd size to lie about it and awkwardly bring up electoral maps in completely unrelated situations. He is already, apparently, visibly affected by the presidency. If ever there was a president that could be made to resign by public pressure, this is it. Do not give up.

China is liable to stay involved with it, because pollution is a very real health problem there on top of being very visible. Same with India. In 2015, 4.2 million people died early deaths as a result of pollution. 2.2 million of those were in China and India. That number is likely to rise in coming years until pollution levels drop.

Alright Mr High and Mighty, if you're so confident the accords accomplish so little, lets see you create a stricter deal further lowering emission requirements.
oh... what's that.... leaving wasn't related to emissions?

Figured he would try that, since WA is so liberal (goddamn climate change shouldn't be partisan tho). Hopefully the influence of this spreads.

That's already happened, Mr. Trump.
It was when you became a contender for the President, Mr. Trump.
Crawl into a hole and die, you cunt.
Mr Trump.
Do people still believe the Republicans are going to turn on Trump if he becomes too unpopular? Because I don't see how things can get worse and they still seem committed.
There are signs that his base is actually getting smaller. If we continue down this road and his support vanishes we will probably see republicans turn on him over the threat of losing their own seat.
Trump is retarded, and so is the US at large.
Would also like to take this opportunity to point out that the rumors about Trump dropping the accord were originally from anonymous sources. The very same anonymous sources that Trump and his supporters zealously decry as "fake news".

I remembered that article about his twitter followers a few days ago and checked this vid, it looks like half of these channels are bots :vs:

I don't think you really know just how much of a misanthrope I can be (and often am, privately if not publicly; public misanthropy isn't exactly a good way to convince people to be on your side you know). The failing of the Republican Party is a failing as much of the party and of our politics as it is of the species in my view. The only reason I condemn them and their supporters and give any sympathy to the Democrats is because the Democrats objectively have a better historic track record at looking out for the people and the country than the Republicans do (especially as of late). Otherwise, the Democrats to me are nothing more than a means to an end. They're more convenient and bearable than the Republicans are.
And it is ironic because I was calling them enemies and degenerates, you jumped onto me for that, and now here you are calling them parasites and saying exactly what I was saying (that they don't deserve a say in our government or any power to determine policy that affects the welfare of our people and our country). I'm going to assume this isn't a deliberate lapse on your part, otherwise that'd make it hypocrisy instead of irony.
Even countries like Saudi Arabia and North Korea are "lefties" now too.
Well yeah, at this point Trump supporters refer to anyone or anything that doesn't agree with them as a leftist, globalist, liberal cuck, etc. It's just a way to help them mentally refrain from acknowledging them as other human beings. Makes it much easier to be so shitty towards them.

Trump will never resign from the presidency. His ego wouldn't allow it. I'd be honestly surprised if he resigned even if it was the best course of action for him personally because it would still require him to acknowledge he fucked up.

Honestly I think most countries aren't laughing at us at this point. They're probably more horrified about what's happening. The only ones laughing are those who already hated the US.
what if they simply gave him an idea?
I doubt the idea didn't come from him or one of his senior advisors. Anonymous sources are almost always staffers.
Either way it doesn't matter. A story used anonymous sources familiar with the decision and they turned out to be verified the very next day, which completely destroys Trumps (and people on FP's) narrative that anonymous sources can never ever be trusted.

I agree with this point, but I also think there's enough evidence to say that he's actually weak and 'low energy'. There has to be a limit to what he can actually physically and mentally handle. I can think of a few possible scenarios that would at least result in him having less influence.

something something clean coal?
Trump has destroyed any legitimacy the US had left. The whole "American exceptionalism" thing has been derided for the longest time, but now any remaning political or diplomatic credibility you guys had has been obliterated.
The next President would have to undo all of Trump's damage, disavow his presidency, and have him tried for his actions. The election process would have to be revised, to prevent a shitshow like this to happen again, lest Kanye West or Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson run for president in 2020.

This is an official piece of government propaganda and if you stand for this shit you're causing the fastest downfall of a nation since fucking Rome.

Dude I think the only way he resigns if he knows he is going to get executed, sent to prison for the rest of his life and has his businesses seized and Pence tells him that the only way out is if he resigns so he can pardon him right after
