President Trump Makes a Statement Regarding the Paris Accord

I'm left with almost no options besides believing the people supporting Trump here are malicious
This is such a goddamn farce.
You feel like you should be shocked that a purported world leader made such an utterly moronic, asinine decision as this, for the sake of a few dollars and to make that dirty Obama look bad, because fuck everything he did. But at this point, it's almost de rigueur that he does something like this every 24 hours.
Those filthy buzzwords Paul Ryan said just make it worse, what the Republicans are doing has crossed all limits, and the sooner this man gets thrown out of office, the better.
CEO of GeneralElectric had this to say.

I do wonder how many of them basically only hang around to 'harvest' screenshots of people being upset at things and then run off to other sites to post them so that they can cackle at all the 'whiny liberals' together.

I can only hope people like this and Elon can pick up the slack.

Holy fuck
This argument and way of thinking sounds like a Fallout Character. Pre Nuclear War or from the Enclave.
This universe sucks.

We know some of them actively browse and post on the_donald. So you may be right.

Remember that one poster who supported Trump at every turn and someone went back deeper into their post history and they said America deserved Trump for all of their wrongdoings over the years?
I certainly hope others aren't like that. Imagine being so spiteful over past events you yearn for the destabilizing, chaotic collapse of a world power that has changed leadership many, many times.
Never thought I'd ever actually want sanctions imposed on my own country

GE and Exxon should start an American Industry Climate Agreement. Companies can agree to it and try to get the same %20 decrease in emissions.
Yes I'm sure that's all it is
You going to elaborate on this? :v:
I feel the need to go hunt down my high school science teacher who was a strong environmentalist, just to make sure she isn't suicidal over this bullshit (if Canada pulling out of the Kyoto Protocol didn't do it). This is disgusting.
On the other hand, Canadian comedians are hitting absolute paydirt since a reliable standby is making fun of Americans and oh holy shit did Trump hand everyone the keys to the kingdom. Never mind how this'll impact American satire. Colbert's ratings are going to go through the roof and I hope he crows about it even more to rub it in Trump's face.

Get this guy out of the White House before he ruins your ENTIRE diplomatic reputation/force.
If he thinks NAFTA's unfair now, just wait until he gets a load of a Liberal-majority Canada who sees America going increasingly insane and throwing a tantrum over the environment (and presumably the economy the moment it goes tits-up down there). :v:

Trump's gonna claim that he spurred innovation and created jobs. :vomit:
This can't go away. Trump needs to be shamed for this for the rest of the year. This is inexcusable.

More like the rest of his life.

This might very well be the best solution, because if Trump and his cabinet refuse to do anything, the companies of America stepping up to the plate may well be critical to the future of the country.
Also I will laugh my ass off if it comes to the point where big coal or oil themselves disown Trump and his cabinet.
I like how even scumbag governments like Russia, Turkey, China and so on aren't evil or retarded enough to pull this shit off. Even those governments see what's coming.

A shame it seems most of the American late night guys are off this week. They'd be hitting big if they were on.
Colbert might put on a mini-monologue from home though. He's done one before.

Its damn near literally only in the US that climate change is somehow a fucking partisan issue.
Any talk on individual states remaining committed?

Yeah, but remember what Trump said - they only signed because they wanted to laugh at America, cheering and hollering at us because we signed a deal that prioritized the people of Paris over the people of Pittsburgh.
:hurr:

Put it this way, you can't squeeze money out of your people, and play tinpot dictator, if they're dead.
Any talk on individual states remaining committed?
New York City said they'll honour the treaty. Not sure about the state itself though.

Joke's on you. Trump has no sense of shame.

Its good that they're willing to stand against a president when they believe that there's a greater good to be done, but I'm always a bit concerned about what businesses and corporations can do in the future if they get too much power, especially with what we see with lobbying now. Deepening of American corporatocracy and all that.
Its damn near literally only in the US that climate change is somehow a fucking partisan issue.
Because that's how effective the climate change disinformation tactics were. Even to this day, when we have literally terabytes of solid evidence worth of proof, you have people still undecided on the subject even after being shown some of it. Facts won't convince people who're wishy-washy or refuse to be convinced of the truth behind a subject. Which brings to mind that old saying, "a lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting on its shoes."

I want to say I recall hearing that California will stay in.

Presumably he wouldn't sign it until it was the America Agreement just like he doesn't read intel briefings unless he's constantly mentioned in them.

They don't need more power to do anything about Climate change
They just need to make the decisions to do things in a different way
I want to say I recall hearing that California will stay in.
Their governor said they would stay with it.
What a disgrace. I hope we can still move forward in a meaningful way with the US government going full retard. Hopefully enough companies like Tesla, and others can make green technology good enough to move the US forward without government support.
It's one hell of a country to live in where the market has to step in when the government fails.
