If it's any consolation, I get to terrorist-fist jab the man in 5 days. My boss (campaign leader) actually told me to fistbump him because that's what he prefers :v:
Sounds fun.
Keep on fighting the good fight On recollection that was very dickish. Sorry. Still, it seemed like a very harmless comment to me. If a politician was going to legalize prostitution and someone said some shit about having the mens vote I wouldn't even twitch.
Alright Chicken_Chaser, we've firmly established that you're a misogynistic asshole. You don't have to make a point of telling me that I'm 'too sensitive' or 'don't have a sense of humour' every single time I post. I have no idea why you're trying to discredit my posts with the notion that I think typing some words on a forum makes me some kind of epic civil rights activist. I'm not actually mentally retarded, unlike you, so, no, I don't think that. (User was banned for this post ("Flaming" - Craptasket))

Do decent folk pass draconian bills in secret?

to be fair it's the internet i mean the misogynist thing is pretty much a 50/50 chance
damn sister wearing those ovaries on the outside i see
Was that a compliment?
nothing he said was misogynistic what are you even doing lmao
Um, did you fail to see the part where I explicitly mentioned that he has a pattern of commenting on my posts? From that you might perhaps take away that we have interacted more than just in this thread, and therefore I am calling him misogynistic as a result of several of his posts, not just this one. I mean, what the fuck Kopimi. If you even bothered to read my post beyond where I called him misogynistic, you'd see that I am obviously referring to more than this thread.
Was that a compliment?
no it was pretty much the first funny (read:stupid) thing that came to mind
i liked it :(
yeah but still i mean wearing your ovaries on the outside is medically impossible
He's pretty condescending towards his political opponents. Perhaps you don't necessarily see it because a lot of his comments aren't directed at your political philosophies. That's not to say it doesn't happen the other way around either, but I digress.
He's being condescending because the policies he mentions, and how the republican opposition responded to them were truly fucking retarded. Such as the "American jobs", a republican will constantly go on about keeping jobs in America, the democrats decide to encourage that by closing loopholes for outsourced job taxing, and the republicans instantly oppose it, claiming that outsourcing is important. He is nowhere near the level of retarded that any of the republican candidates seem to have hit. When he attacks them, it is over their policies, their ideals. And how they can't form a coherent fucking idea of what they are doing, even when almost everybody in the parties that make up the republican side agree on almost everything, just to make it hard for opposition to do anything. When the republican candidates and supporters attack Obama, it is very rarely over his policies, and more the fact that he's apparently "brown, Muslim, terrorist supporting" they are all personal attacks. The republican candidates are low, they can't run a country to save their lives, they can't even form a decent argument against one man who is opposing a fair few of them.
maybe instead of being passive aggressive in response to a completely innocent post you should save your awfully unentertaining insults for a more appropriate thread
The post in question was totally incorrect. What I said was true: Women are not monolithic, and therefore will not just vote for Obama on the sole basis that he thingks calling women sluts for wanting access to contraceptives is abhorrent. The idea of a 'women vote' is sexist, because it implies that women are such a niche group who are only interested in a single goal (advancing the socioeconomic status of their gender) that they will vote for anyone who is remotely friendly to them. In actuality, women constitute around 50% of Americans, and occupy all spots on the political spectrum. The fact that there's no such thing as a 'getting the male vote' is proof that it's sexist - another instance where male is the default, and females are the abnormal. Pointing that out using sarcasm does not make me passive aggressive. I mean, have you ever even read one of thisispain's posts, or Zeke's? Plenty of people do it because it's effective. But nice try at deflecting attention away from the fact that you have no reading comprehension.
Rush is still the king, baby.
Like how he chose ignorance over research and found himself supporting the Lord's Resistance Army on live radio Hail to the King, baby.
Im not really in to American politics. Does Obama have a good chance again this yeah?
I'm not defending Rush because, frankly, I dislike him too, but Obama isn't nearly as much of a paragon as some people play him out to be. From my standpoint, some of his comments seem rather nasty towards his opposition. [editline]6th March 2012[/editline] TLDR: I hate everything
no one played him out to be a paragon. Just a infinitely better person than Rush
Im not really in to American politics. Does Obama have a good chance again this yeah?
I think so. The only apparent opposition that won't get slammed in debate is from Ron Paul, and he isn't really well-known enough because both the Republican parties and the Democratic parties basically hate his guts (with arguably sound reason).
Again, from my perspective, it looks like he's trying to divide the country with some of his rhetoric. I've taken insult from a lot of his jokes and comments, and it bothers me when people say that he's a fair and honest person. I see him in a much different light. To me, he's arrogant, condescending and deceptive, whereas to one of his supporters, he may be lighthearted and kind. At least try and understand that I see people differently.
Oh HE'S dividing the country? I'm sorry, but what the fuck do you think your party is doing? Lets face it, if you're a Republican, you want what's worse for the US. [editline]7th March 2012[/editline] The Republican party is hundreds of times more dangerous the United States than any terrorist group it fights or claims it's fighting

I can't name many examples, but I know Republicans aren't some inherently evil beasts. They want the same things, they just have different methods of obtaining them (even if they aren't entirely thought through). Nobody "wants what's wors[t] for the US". In their heads, it all plays out perfectly; every plan they make will save the US from debt, every bill they pass will end some war somewhere or other. It just happens that a lot of Republicans simply aren't realistic in their expectations. So it's less of a malignance thing, and more of a misguided attempt at help -assuming all Republican plans made ever have failed dramatically, as you seem to think they would.

What Obama said was condescending and rude to people who haven't been listening to what they've been saying about Obama and how horrible he is, there's no comparison.
First quote in sensational headlines that i have seen in a while that doesnt make my brain simmer with rage.

I'm fairly certain he doesn't want any of those things, even if perhaps he isn't the smartest poster in this thread. You don't need to want those things to be a republican. It just seems like it'd help a bit to us because the stupid republicans are the ones who can shout the loudest, and are thus who we base the whol party off of.

The more moderate Republicans, such as the ones in New England who are actually sane, are being labeled RINOs. Republicans In Name Only, and are essentially put under pressure to either "conservatize me, Cap'n" or get out.
There's a lot of words (and actions) that decent folk don't say or do.
That's the reason why I love Obama. Most things I've heard from him have been smart things.
Anyone in support of Rush Limbaugh in this is a pathetic right-wing dick rider. This president has had to put up with so much shit from the right, from conservatives calling out "YOU LIE" during a constitutionally mandated state-of-the-union address, to right-wing blowhards pointing their snarling fingers at him on the tarmac. And all of that can fly, but once he calls out someone calling a woman a slut, he's being indecent. You can't have it both ways.
