Believe me, the Libertarians don't want your vote if you're a Trump supporter.
not a good night for sanders so far
what?
Hillary clinton is a republican dressed up as democrat, and I'm not gonna vote for her lying ass no matter what happens.
As for the pessimistic

Thats kinda gross. Good foreign policy but the Libertarian economics will get people killed.
None of the above, you're the "I vote based on hurt feelings".
lol
Voting on the concept of "lesser evil" isn't new to this election and acting like cody8295 is somehow outside the norm in stating "well if X wins instead of my preferred Y, I'll vote for Z" is petty.
Not that I know anything about his track record, just that statement in particular struck a bit of a chord.

Just because it's common doesn't mean it's the healthiest thing to do.

It was a logical decision made after looking at each candidate and realizing hillary is the most evil.
I'm all for Bernie and I hope he wins but I really don't get people who are rooting for Sanders and would vote Trump rather than Clinton out of spite. You're essentially voting a person who has completely opposite ideologies and policies than the candidate you were originally rooting for.

Could you go into detail?

Voting for Hilary is kinda doing just that as well though. Trump is terrible but at the very least he's not establishment.

Exactly.
Clinton is less appealing, but she's still left wing.
Exactly.

Left wing in relation to the GOP, but right wing in relation to the rest of the industrialized world
Left wing in relation to the GOP, but right wing in relation to the rest of the industrialized world
And Trump is...?
I'm all for Bernie and I hope he wins but I really don't get people who are rooting for Sanders and would vote Trump rather than Clinton out of spite. People are sick and tired of the same thing, and Trump is completely different. I would vote Trump if Sanders doesn't win so this country can be destroyed. He's that much of a bad leader to vote in, if he becomes president, American will lose it's Superpower status.

Its not at all the same situation

I think we've all seen here is the very rock bottom of why someone would vote for Trump.
I think we've all seen here is the very rock bottom of why someone would vote for Trump.
Exactly.
Only need 1 reason to vote for trump: bernie doesn't get nominated.

I would much rather have Trump than Hillary to be perfectly honest.
What a fun election this will be.

right now it is physically impossible for me to be any more smug
it's off the fucking charts how smug i am
I think Bernie supporters leaning on Trump if he lost should remember what he said on this.
“If it happens that I do not win that process, would I run outside of the system? No, I made the promise that I would not and I will keep that promise.”
“And the reason for that is I do not want to be responsible for electing some right-wing Republican to be president of the United States.”

Here, Let me play devils advocate. You're high if your voting for bernie. And here's why: NONE of his policies will make it through congress. Period. At all. Would it be nice if they did? Fuck yea. Will that make a bit of difference at all? Nope. Not in the slightest.
4 years of "feelin the bern" isn't going to do a damn thing over 4 years of "making america great again" because in the end the insane bullshit that trump comes up with is going to get ripped apart by congress and the supreme court.
Anyone who says "OH IF X CANDIDATE GETS ELECTED WE'RE FUCKED" is smoking some seriously good shit, and they should send me some.
Two things
1) I'm not a Bernie supporter
2) You really want to take the risk that things Trump attempts won't get past Congress? Is it really worth the risk?
Even if he doesn't get anything past congress,(and besides him making us the laughing stock of the entire world) we would still have to deal with the fact such a dreadful person at could get win the election purely with demagoguery and sloganeering, and what the would mean about our country.
A. Trump couldn't directly propose legislature in the first place.
This is just plain wrong
Thats kinda gross. Good foreign policy but the Libertarian economics will get people killed.
We had Libertarian economics under Coolidge which gave us the Roaring Twenties. The reason it fell was because Wall Street went rampant and collapsed.
As long as Wall Street is kept in check a pseudo-libertarian economy can work.
A. Trump couldn't directly propose legislature in the first place.
B. Gridlock is so fucked right now that any legislature that he managed to get someone to propose would instantly be relegated to committee, never to be heard from again.
C. Anything he passed that was apeshit crazy would get torn apart by the court system.
Just because his 'ban immigrants' law would get stuck in gridlock doesn't mean electing Trump will have 0 effect. Among shitloads of other things, it'll set back our foreign policy and relations by decades - something that is in his control.
This shows just how ignorant you are of the political process and voting.
If you honestly pick candidates from both parties from time to time, you register as independent, not one party then the next and back and forth. It's redundant, a waste of your time and tedious paperwork.
[editline]1st March 2016[/editline]
This man will get my vote, for sure.
Fun fact, there's eleven other Libertarians attempting to beat him in the nomination, it's hilarious that they're trying.
Libertarians aren't on the NJ ballot for presidency yet.
We need to sign a petition to get him on there.
I feel the same. Hillary has not proven to me why she deserves a vote over Trump.
1 - She isn't Trump
