I bet you all within a year there will be a autocratic/despotic/dictatorial/etc government in place, and the only difference is that everybody will be worse off after than before.
IS THAT GADDAFI?
Couldn't be anyone else.
I think that was posted on military photos earlier (Not seen either) and debunked. Any chance you could describe the image you linked to?

A lot of news sources keep saying that he fled. How likely is it that he was actually shot if everyone is saying that he fled?
NSFW http://i54.tinypic.com/96kfhj.png
Gentlemen, place your bets on when the provisional government will end up falling to bits.
Gentlemen, place your bets on when the provisional government will end up falling to bits.
Are you just conditioned to hate anything that's being brought forth by masses of people??
Gentlemen, place your bets on when the provisional government will end up falling to bits.
Your unfailing optimism gives us all such inspiring hope
Gentlemen, place your bets on when the provisional government will end up falling to bits.
Honestly, they have a somewhat solid constitution and very good ideas surrounding the transition between the temporary government and the real government. As said before, they're preventing anyone who was in the TNC from serving in the new government.
They're going to be dependent on the same foreign governments who supplied them during their fight. I'll bet they'll be much better than Gaddafi's regime.
Let's hope the provisional government does not fall to bits. Otherwise we'll see a post civil war Libya be way worse off than the dictatorship they endured under Gaddafi.. It's funny how if Gaddafi had just been a little lenient and not so quick to oppress his people, he could be sitting in a comfortable position still.. You can't erase the accomplishments he had achieved during his reign, like what's been said earlier in the thread.
Let's hope the provisional government does not fall to bits. Otherwise we'll see a post civil war Libya be way worse off than the dictatorship they endured under Gaddafi.
It's already worse off.
It's already worse off.
Because civil wars and internal conflicts are times when the country's economy booms. Just shut up. You've always been touting how Libya has been a prosperous country under Gaddafi's rule. Why the Hell would a country want a leader that is willing to stomp his boot on his own citizens just so that he can stay on his seat? He can massacre hundreds while he improves highways, and you would still parade about how he has improved Libya's infrastructure and his great procedures in population control?
I seriously doubt that if things go bad, another dictator will take power. They whole country just fought to get rid of one and that spirit is still strong. If something happens, it will become decentralized, with Libya breaking up into fractions; most likely into three sections - east, west and south as the ethnic regions are.

It seems to be better off before the civil war than during it and most likely after it.
I seriously doubt that if things go bad, another dictator will take power. The war is over. Finally. Less bloody than i expected.
I would say he left Libya much better off than before, and had Libya simply waited it would have gradually changed into a democracy.
It just did change into a democracy. Gradually, over the past five months.

The dead Gaddafi picture is fake, it's one of the three guys that died in the house raid of Osama
I'd rather move to China.
Please do! Hopefully they'll censor Facepunch by the time you move, too.
