Wow this happened fast
Remember what she said. It might not be true, but it can be true. It's always important to consider everything so that you don't grow bias.
Of course I take it into consideration, but when it does against numerous other reports, why would I believe it? [editline]22nd August 2011[/editline]
I hope they used this thing (if it still was usable)
Maybe there's something I don't understand, but why do they constantly say "allahu akhbar" over and over again? I'm aware of what it means, but I don't understand the purpose of saying it over and over again in a situation that doesn't seem to warrant it.
Its just used as a war cry in Arabic speaking countries, I can't really think of any English equivalent.
But they're just test-firing a tank car.
But they're just test-firing a tank car.
And that's NOT awesome enough to shout war crys?
Religious cultures usually attribute their victory to God. I don't see anything surprising with shouting God is great after winning, it's a show of thanks to Allah.
Its just used as a war cry in Arabic speaking countries, I can't really think of any English equivalent.
"God speed!" "God bless you all!" "Guard our country, God!" etc.
Mousa Ibrahim has gone full Iraqi Information minister according to the BBC. Apparently the arrests are fake, Gaddafi is control of 80% of the city and that there no rebels.
Mousa Ibrahim has gone full Iraqi Information minister according to the BBC. Apparently the arrests are fake, Gaddafi is control of 80% of the city and that there no rebels.
He's lying about the events in Tripoli? I'm not suprised.
And that's NOT awesome enough to shout war crys?
Fair enough.
"God speed!" "God bless you all!" "Guard our country, God!" etc.
"Gott mit uns"-"God with us" was a phase that was often used by the Prussian army. :v:
"Gott mit uns"-"God with us" was a phase that was often used by the Prussian army. :v:
I think that the only reason that Allah Akbar seems awkward to hear is because muslim terrorist organizations use it. Even through pretty much every other religious war cries used by military organizations are technically exactly the same, but spoken in a non-arabic language.
But they're just test-firing a tank car.
Cries of success.
Its just used as a war cry in Arabic speaking countries, I can't really think of any English equivalent.
erm people use it in protests and in situations of great emotion
The guy speaking on CNN right now made me want to vomit "Of course none of this was possible without the United States" Immediately changed the channel after hearing that.
The guy speaking on CNN right now made me want to vomit "Of course none of this was possible without the United States" Immediately changed the channel after hearing that.
I would've written that as "With NATO's help, the regime fell, but none of this would have been possible without the courageous efforts of the rebels."
Jenkem, Glaber, and yai9ka in a nutshell.
I would've written that as "With NATO's help, the regime fell, but none of this would have been possible without the courageous efforts of the rebels."
Only thing he mentioned about NATO was how the US should have done more. I don't get what he meant. The US didn't do enough, yet none of the rebel victories could have been made without the US?

I am going to provide continuing updates on this twitter account for my News Organization, and I'm going to start providing updates within the thread as well https://twitter.com/#!/BNN_News_Intl But now I go to sleep Rate me rainbow if you think I'm a dumbass for waiting until the fall of Tripoli to bother starting relaying news to facepunch the minute it hits the airwaves or internet when I've been doing this since the Egyptian Revolution for another website but that you support me anyway

You people, geez
I just went on google earth to look around Tripoli and I typed in Green Square, it then took me to Martyr's Square. It's pretty cool how quickly things just change. I honestly didn't expect it to happen this fast. Wikipedia also put the NTC's flag up as the main flag for Libya some time yesterday. Today it just calls it the Libyan Republic and has Gaddafi as the secondary power. I love how fast they just change.
Mitt Romney says the United States should take some of the assets we froze from Gaddafi and use it to "pay off" our participation there. What the fuck, is my nation really that arrogant and prideful?

Doesn't matter either way, he's free for the time being.
He was reported captured but now he's walking all up in front of everything
He was reported captured but now he's walking all up in front of everything
I don't think he has "escaped" as such, I mean how dumb would you have to be to go walking around in front of TV cameras.
