So...Does this mean Libya is no longer at war with Switzerland? :v:
"This is something very dangerous! If Tripoli was to burn like Baghdad did why would you allow for this to happen? How would you let Tripoli, which was beatiful and safe be allowed to be set on fire?! This should not happen! This must not happen!" Gadaffi message on AJ.
According to Twitter NATO are dropping bombs on his palace. That might be slightly overstepping the resolution.
They're extremely close to the centre.
According to Twitter NATO are dropping bombs on his palace. That might be slightly overstepping the resolution.
I wonder if the rebels manage to actually establish a new government (Which I doubt they will) they might have some bad feelings towards NATO.

Gadaffi message on AJ.
It already happened, so I'm guessing he's saying this somewhere other than Tripoli and haven't gotten the news yet.
She is back, they are very close to green square. Apparently there was a lot of firing. [editline]21st August 2011[/editline]
I wonder if the rebels manage to actually establish a new government (Which I doubt they will) they might have some bad feelings towards NATO.
I was thinking about this recently, it is entirely possible IMO. There have been a lot of "bad" incidents from NATO regarding this.
Everyone turned around because the rebels thought they were shot at. It was most likely celebration though.
"All of these tribes, they must travel to Tripoli now to defend and purify it! They must march to Tripoli now and defend it or they will become slaves to the British imperialism! All of these tribes(yadda yadda), you must defend your areas! (yadda yadda) All our men and women must come out in order to prevent the traitors and the agents to take over Tripoli otherwise you will be slaves to the imperialists! All the tribes are marching towards Tripoli because they have heated the coal(?)! The agents have no place in Libya! Not in front of all these masses that are marching to save Tripoli! NATO will not help you! How can you let Tripoli burn like this?! All the buildings that we built with our hands are burning to a crisp as I speak! The leaders of islam must take all the women and men and march with weapons towards Tripoli! The agents of imperialism are but a few!" New message apparently. The last bit is similar to one of the earlier messages.
Rebels stopped.
I think it's absolutely hilarious that Gadaffi thinks people are still listening to him.
Everyone turned around because the rebels thought they were shot at. It was most likely celebration though.
I bet its absolute chaos down there. According to Twitter they think Gaddafi is in Sirte, some people thinking he might be trying to take a boat out of Libya.
I think it's absolutely hilarious that Gadaffi thinks people are still listening to him.
Lots of people are listening to him. They're just laughing their asses off at it too.
I think it's absolutely hilarious that Gadaffi thinks people are still listening to him.
I find it hilarious that you think he has no supporters.
Can anyone link me to the stream everyone is watching?
http://t.co/2VQGDkY Its breaking up (the satellite feed from Libya anyway). Apparently people are driving away from the green square like mad. Have they hit some resistance?
I bet its absolute chaos down there. According to Twitter they think Gaddafi is in Sirte, some people thinking he might be trying to take a boat out of Libya.
NATO will probably have a fun time playing Battleship with his boat.
I find it hilarious that you think he has no supporters.
Why are you such a pessimist and killjoy?
http://t.co/2VQGDkY Its breaking up (the satellite feed from Libya anyway). Apparently people are driving away from the green square like mad. Have they hit some resistance?
Lots of gunfire fired at them they're hauling ass
Two planes from South Africa have apparently landed in Tripoli. Hey NATO, how about actually enforcing the NFZ as well as do the bombing? Isn't South Africa the favourite hang out for deposed dictators?

The vehicles turned around, crashed into each other, civilians scrambled.
Lots of gunfire fired at them they're hauling ass
Could be snipers or govt counterattack.
Two planes from South Africa have apparently landed in Tripoli. Hey NATO, how about actually enforcing the NFZ as well as do the bombing? Isn't South Africa the favourite hang out for deposed dictators?
A know there are a large number of mercenaries from there at least, but I don't know about deposed dictators. Usually you hear Switzerland for that kind of thing, but Gaddafi had to go declare war on them a while ago :v: Maybe it's a NATO plane of some sort?
NATO have apparently just said they are ready to work with the transition council but the transition must be a peaceful one.
The reporter's pick-up is moving towards the Green Square. Civilians have set up improvised barricades for rebels apparently.
The reporter's pick-up is moving towards the Green Square. Civilians have set up improvised barricades for rebels apparently.
To prevent them moving around or to help them?
I find it interesting that in all the crowds celebrating in the videos, there's virtually zero women around.
Most civilians seem to be gone. Cars are moving all over the place. Rebels are still moving towards the square.
To prevent them moving around or to help them?
I don't know, they're used some complex words to define the barricade situation. There are still a few pockets under govt control in Tripoli apparently.
