On Twitter it seems one of Sky's producers is talking about the technical side of what they are doing, its apparently a satellite system that requires a really precise angle and is designed for sitting in one place and providing internet. Makes the fact they are broadcasting from a moving convoy even more impressive.
I have a job interview early in the morning, I really should go but I really don't want to miss anything :v:
Apparently the two SA planes in Tripoli have flown to Malta, FMCNL is trying to confirm it.
I find it interesting that in all the crowds celebrating in the videos, there's virtually zero women around.
There was that woman making a speech out a window in Benghazi. [editline]22nd August 2011[/editline] Damn it Sky cut it with the commercials there is no reason for a break.
I wonder if the rebels manage to actually establish a new government (Which I doubt they will) they might have some bad feelings towards NATO.
If they really do have anti-western sentiments wouldn't it make sense for the rebels to kick out reporters and journalists?
The gunfire in Green Square was most likely celebration by the sounds of it, and not resistance. It just spooked rebels and panic spread.
If they really do have anti-western sentiments wouldn't it make sense for the rebels to kick out reporters and journalists?
The reporters are telling the world about the rebels. If they didn't do that NATO wouldn't have helped them and I think they acknowledge that.
'History defining mome- TAGGART PROMO'
This is basically the White Mans war in Libya backed by western media to brainwash its people to continue support massacring the Libyan people.. le sigh

I prefer the BBC but they do not have any insane reporters like Sky do.
Gaddafi sons captured.
It seems the Gadaffi guards have surrendered their weapons.
...most of you are too young to actually see the truth, oh well. Since when is it good to bomb hundreds of buildings and kill innocent civilians? Why is not the western media reporting about the casualities made during the mindless bombings by NATO? It's pretty sick reading this thread and your comments, testosterone much?
I hope they capture Gaddafi. He doesnt deserve freedom.
...most of you are too young to actually see the truth, oh well.
I'm 21, how old might you be?
Why is there a guy with a french flag in the crowd?
Its a commercial news channel, it has to fund it self somehow. I prefer the BBC but they do not have any insane reporters like Sky do.
Yeah. I never saw a female reporter to hitch a ride on a rebel pick up truck that is driving into a capital city.
I'm 21, how old might you be?
He's 57. Check his profile.
Why is there a guy with a french flag in the crowd?
omg gaddafi was right french imperialism :tinfoil:
Why is there a guy with a french flag in the crowd?
Because France is a [del]part of NATO[/del] evil imperialist empire, thus it [del]helped the liberation of Libya[/del] brainwashed the innocent people into loving their evil regime.
Gaddafi is done for. He can't really do anything now. Accept hope he survives
He's 57. Check his profile.
No one is that old on Facepunch but Mikfoz
It was a joke.

Not to mention the videos and reports coming directly from people who are there. Please show me your proof that NATO are on purpose bombing civilians.
I hope the new Libya is secular.
NATO have apparently said they are willing to work with the transitional council to help get rid of Gaddafi. I am going to try and find the statement to make sure I heard that right.
This is basically the White Mans war in Libya
The White man's war? Why would we be on the side of the rebels?
Found it. http://www.nato.int/cps/en/SID-2E55A605-DFC71BF5/natolive/news_77345.htm Check the wording, it seems NATO are now willing to actually help the rebels.
