South Korean troops fired warning shots at an "unidentified object" flying across the heavily fortified border from North Korea Tuesday afternoon, the South's military announced.
The military detected the object traversing the Military Demarcation Line (MDL) southward in the Chorwon area in the eastern province of Gangwon at around 4 p.m., according to the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).
I must admit that the frequency of these stories as of late is just a tad unnerving.
They say it may be a drone. Imagine if some civilian built it to get something over border to the south ?

Indeed. I'm worried about this. Could it possibly be a missile of some sort?

On one hand, I was worried North Korea made something ridiculous take to the air.
On the other hand, except in extreme cases it's just about always them firing a missile or throwing a threat someone's way. Just hope the unidentified object isn't a scout considering the troops in SK had enough time and sight to pop shots at it.

South Korea’s military said an unidentified object that flew across the border from rival North Korea and prompted the South to respond with warning shots on Tuesday was probably a balloon carrying Pyongyang’s propaganda leaflets.

The South sends "propaganda(I guess you'd still call it that?)" to the North all the time, so they're probably just doing it out of spite.

How does ISIS manage to recruit people from Europe and US when it's widely known that they're worthless people? It's puzzling, but some people still do join ISIS. I think NK is thinking in same lines, almost everyone is too smart to do it but some people will take the bait.

I don't think people join ISIS because they are happy and enjoying their life

I don't think anyone would wanna move to North Korea if they were happy and enjoying their life either, but if they were feeling bad, who knows. People can think in funny ways when they're down.

I can't find the data but it due to hormones. Most Isis recruits are in late teens to early thirties. The same can be said of anti fa.

That would explain why the pilot was so scrawny

However, there are people out there who genuinely support North Korea.
These are usually authoritarian leftists (commonly known as tankies) who have deluded themselves into thinking that the Juche ideology is their practice.
They will argue that North Korea has more than one party (even though those two other "parties" are under direct control of the WPK),
that they have elections (which are conducted internally in the WPK and serve no practical function) and that they're generally a victim of "US Imperialism".
They've essentially swallowed their propaganda hook, line and sinker.
Some of them are active with the Korean Friendship Association, which is a propaganda organisation run by a Spanish tankie who has ties to the WPK.
Others hang around in places like r/communism and r/socialism.
Some of them used to engage in Wikipedia edit wars some years back, changing the government status on the NK article back and forth from "totalitarian dictatorship" to "Juche state".
I remember one guy who used to argue in the talk sections that the Yodok concentration camp was just a regular old village and there were no slavery and torture going on there.
