Text at the top says Cogito Ergo Sum (I think, therefore I am). Could be an adaptation of 'I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream' or something original based on it.
That connection is pretty far fetched. And there already is a video game for it.
wtf do people have against the chinese room? did you think frictional was going to stop making games, as well? im excited for this but hating developers that are critically acclaimed and that are actually trying to something original in the field is so spergy
Chinese room are great at creating narrative experiences but they seem to forget that games need gameplay too. I liked MFP but cutting out most of the gameplay and puzzle elements from the original game isn't acceptable for a sequel.

But I get why people hate it, they where expecting another Frictional Games horror title, but got something way different because of a different developer. It's like the people who hate New Vegas because it's not Fallout 3.
Amnesia was so great, I can't wait for the next game.

I think the only questionable changed are the lack of an inventory and watered down puzzles, other than that I'm okay with removing the sanity meter because the Machine For Pigs main character isn't crazy afraid of the dark.

I love Frictional, I'm very excited.
44% already, this'll be done by the end of the day it looks like :v:

Giger artsyle?
I'm really excitied for Routine as well Frictional is great. I have high hopes. The chineese room didn't do so good but Amnesia 1 was a fucking gold mine until LPer's overplayed it. And if anyone hasn't played their games yet I suggest PENUMBRA NOW GO BUY IT. Before playing penumbra though, please remember which games go in what order. That way you play them the right way.
Giger artsyle?
I certainly hope so.
they dont forget they need gameplay, they just have other priorities and their games are not designed for people looking for an action packed thrill ride
they really missed what made amnesia, amnesia, on a massive scale because of the huge lack of actual puzzles and lack of any real threats. I died only once because I fucked around and beat it in about 4 hours. in outlast, penumbra and amnesia 1 however I died a proper amount of times, even for someone that isn't that scared because they had actual threats. I actually died in Outlast and still wanted MORE challange, and I always score a K/D tie in multiplayer games so I'm "Ok at best at gaming". Now imagine how easy AMFP was for me AMFP is super easy, especially if you have both Forward+Sprint in one button. There are no W + mouse 1 tactics, only W tactics.
A friend of mine got a bunch of concept art from Frictional's servers back when their directory was leaked. Related, perhaps? Here's two of the images that he stitched together [thumb]http://puu.sh/4CzGZ.jpg[/thumb] And here's a 7z file containing all the shit (Also, he says it'll take place underwater, not in space)

What, Penumbra not good enough to advertise in the title? [sp]Ontopic: Seriously pumped.[/sp]
they dont forget they need gameplay, they just have other priorities and their games are not designed for people looking for an action packed thrill ride
I wasn't looking for an action packed thrill ride but I was looking for a horror game with some actual interaction and puzzles more complicated than replacing broken gears or moving a couple of switches.
Awesome that it'll be underwater. I hope it'll share the vibes from "The Abyss" and "Sphere".

Won't load for me. Color me interested tho.
wtf do people have against the chinese room? did you think frictional was going to stop making games, as well? im excited for this but hating developers that are critically acclaimed and that are actually trying to something original in the field is so spergy
Wow bro, calmn your tits, nobody is attacking the chinese room here. They write good stories and create amazing atmospher, but Amnesia: AMFP barely had any gameplay in it (I think there where like, 3-4 instances in the game were you had to worry about the pigs and the puzzles were terrible), which is a legit critique of what is supposed to be a game, after all is said and done.
So it's called Depth?
Assuming this concept art is for the same project, yes
Hey Look! H.R Giger! I dunno about you all, but that is a serious plus.
Being stuck in some underwater facility? I wonder if they could manage to play on the human's number one fear which is usually the sensation of drowning.
