Imagine the water level, but played out vertically and with constantly rising water

biggest thing is that unless you're a practiced diver usually you'll think that the ocean is literally another dimension
and it really is. Very, very, VERY diverse and a lot of the time pretty scary, that ocean.
Huxley and H.R Giger.
Color me intrigued!
The original Amnesia was great, but I'd love to see them pull something like System Shock / Penumbra.
looks like this could be very promising, and so does routine for that matter
Wait so, is it not a horror game as someone said in the first page?
51%; whatever this is, I hope it's great. I'm confident in this, since Frictional was merely the "publisher" of Ozzy Osbourne's Bacon Maker 2013.
If it actually does turn out to be their take on the System Shock style of game, I'm all for it, since in survival horror you can still be scared even with some measure of ordinance so long as you gotta keep tweaking your equipment and scavenging for loot if you wanna survive your next appointment with a disturbingly twisted cyber-nurse and over-eager suicide androids ("Oooh, Xerxes won't like this" *arms on hips*).
Why are people hating on A Machine for Pigs again? Sure it was a little bit slower paced, but it was still a great game.
I think A Machine For Pigs would have done better if it didn't have the Amnesia banner over it. It was really a great game and I loved how it was done, it just didn't share many key traits with The Dark Descent.
dude what if they're making a Dark Seed remake
that would be so rad oh man
Holy fucking yes

What are you talking about? Virtually every mechanic between the two games is the exact same.
Name one thing besides the sanity mechanic that's different between the two.

massive lack of puzzles, at least, the puzzles in AMFP required honestly really no thought at all. AMFP was significantly shorter and easier, the AI doesn't really feel any special and it has much less "Running away".
I mean I did like it, and it is like amnesia by a lot but ONLY in the way that it uses the same atmosphere style and engine. Aside from that it's the same genre of horror, just quite different in pace and tone, and ease of playing it due to having no real puzzles despite being this otherworldly arcane and hyper complex machine, as well as a very different feel to it.
So basically, it's amnesia, but doesn't quite FEEL like it at all in its roots, it's just too focused on story to be quite the same. I'd really rather TCR worked on story, and Frictional did the gameplay itself.
That and, it had no tinderboxes, no sanity, no inventory, no real puzzles, recharging health, far easier enemies, no lantern oil. It's missing what made amnesia what it is, and that's "Fucking freaking OUT while you try and figure this shit out!!!". They dumbed it down at the cost of making the story much more complex and interesting.
The underwater setting is a great idea as it allows it to be thousands of times scarier than Amnesia. I've always had a fear of going deep underwater in games and real life, and I'm sure it's the same for many others.
Text at the top says Cogito Ergo Sum (I think, therefore I am). Could be an adaptation of 'I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream' or something original based on it.
"I think, therefore I am. Therefore I am! I think..."
"there ya go, lad. keep as cool as you can. face piles of trials with smiles. it riles them to believe that you perceive that when they weep, but keep on thinking that way."

why is he wearing that exact shirt in every single picture of him
If this is underwater sci-fi horror, I expect Deep Ones; possibly it'll involve an undersea research facility or nuclear sub that got a little too close to an ancient city of fishmen. But will it be it's own mythos, or will it be connected to the Penumbra or Amnesia mythoses?
I'm certain that I'll wanna play this, so long as there's plenty of gameplay this time around.
Metal Gear Rising?
looks way more borg to me
[t]http://voice.fan.tv/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Borg-Queen.jpg[/t]
I mean, it doesn't have those wires on Raiden, that look like vains, etc. He looks too cleanly augmented.
But I've never even played any MG game.
Guys I may have fucked something up somebody help

Like, never even tried or just haven't played very much?
If you have a PS3 you could at minimum get the MGS4 demo.
It can take a while for the % to go up from 0.
