If it's multiplayer only I won't be interested, though I might give it a try if you can play against bots.
Kane's Wrath was great too but that was the last good C&C game.
Forgot about Kane's Wrath. I never played it much because I was really shit at Tiberium Wars (I actually got stuck on the mission in Alexandria where you have to stop the nuke launch or whatever) but from what I remember it was pretty good.

Like a proper expansion, it took the original and worked on it. I really enjoyed having whole 3 NOD factions to chose from (Black Hand rules).
This means no singleplayer, I guess.
C&C died at Red Alert 3 for me.
NOOOO, FUCKING NOOOO.
God damn it I was hoping they'd make another good C&C game after the last batch of shit but nope, gotta fuck it up because we're EA.
For anyone interested in how EA handles their F2P games, I suggest checking out Battlefield Play4Free and Need for Speed: World, two games that outright let you buy power.
In Battlefield you can buy boosts that increase the damage you do and decrease the damage you take, while NFS lets you buy better cars than what you can get for ingame currency.
Oh well, Generals 2 sounded neat, but not interested in more EA F2P garbage.
Don't forget Battlefield Heroes and their C&C browser game where you can also buy advantages.
EA can't make F2P games right.
Well at least Relic are still making CoH 2 which at least gives me something to look forward to, although their announcement that DoW 3 is going to be "more MMO like" pisses me off to no end, I want my old dawn of war back relic you bastards!
You guys should know better that EA does not learn from its mistakes.
You guys should know better that EA does not learn from its mistakes.
Why would they? Despite all their shitty buisness practices and bad games they still make piles of money.
Wait BF3 is pay to win what?
Not exactly but exactly.
Premium is a service through BF3 where you get all of the DLC for $15 less then if you bought all of them, it allows you to reset stats and gives you new camo's for guns and your characters(that you have to fucking work for), it's supposed to give random content drops but I don't know if they can deliver on this or they're really good at keeping a closed mouth on things like this, there's supposed to be a content drop this month that I'm still waiting to know what the fuck it is.
Really the only thing I like about Premium is you get DLC access two weeks early, but then you also get to play with all the cool kids who bought premium, and sometimes it's just pathetic.
Why would they? Despite all their shitty buisness practices and bad games they still make piles of money.
Not really. Apparently they've been losing money for several years now.
(Un)fortunately they're still making the same mistakes so if we're lucky they're going to go bankrupt in a couple of years.
Go fuck yourselves EA.
Please if you have to make a Command and Conquer f2p game but make it separately from Generals 2!

They'll get it all back once battlefield 4 comes out.

Considering the average IQ of video gaming community, I fear that you're probably right. :/
FUCK YOU EA! FUCK YOU!
Why are gaming companies more retarded all of a sudden?
Why are gaming companies more retarded all of a sudden?
All of the sudden? This kind of shit has been going on for several years now.
I've pretty much given up with actually caring about EA's handling of older IPs, I really just read this kind of thing for a laugh. It's abundantly clear that EA does not give even the slightest of fucks anymore, they go for the easiest way out so their short-term bottom line meets its quota, and even the worst F2P games rake in the big bucks because every F2P game has at least a few hundred gullible idiots who will spend money on literally anything.
I wonder what other IPs they can get the internet all riled up over, there's still a lot of stuff they can ruin with transparent money grabs like this, I'm sure.
Fuck you, EA, that was my favorite RTS, and single player was fun as hell.
I am seriously disappointed. It sounds like they really don't want their titles to succeed anymore.
GLA were the fucken shit
I'm not sure how they plan to pull this off without making it pay to win.
I want to burn their office down
Aaaaaand ruined. Gj EA, fuck off and sell the franchise you so lovingly raped to death
Thank god I forgot about this until now and found End Of Nations in the mean time.
I thought they made Generals 1 free, but 2? NO.
It's like John Ravioli wants EA to die.
That's probably the story scraped, pay to win brought in and a massive shit on anything you every liked. When will these big companies learn to not shit on their buyers.
I absolutely despise any sort of Free to Play model.
What the fuck is everyone's problem with F2P?
What the fuck is everyone's problem with F2P?
It's EA, their F2P games are Pay to Win.
I want to burn their office down
lol calm down dude it's a fucking video game
Anyways
I, for one, am not going to just bandwagon like the rest of you whining about EA ruining one of your favwite video game sewies (omg so sad ;_;) and actually try it, unlike you people who can't even get their companies straight. [sp](P.S, Activision is the one who spams DLC and Nexon is the one that makes Pay-to-win MMOs. Sorry to kill your hate boner for EA, but you're wrong.)[/sp]
