Keeping our children properly fed is a much better use of federal money than killing and maiming Iraqi/Afghani children with our bombs. :colbert:
No, not according to Glaber, or Fox, he'd much rather money went towards killing others, than helping each other. [editline]13th December 2010[/editline]
;26677362']If people want to eat more healthy they can do it themselves. The government does not need to help them.
No one is forcing anything on anyone doebrain. This is optional for people that don't have the CHANCE OR CHOICE TO EAT HEALTHY. Are you Glaber 2.0? You say the same dumb shit he does, but even dumber.
;26677362']If people want to eat more healthy they can do it themselves. The government does not need to help them.
Unless they're of lower income families. My friend's family can't pack her a lunch so she relies on the government funded school lunches.
;26677362']If people want to eat more healthy they can do it themselves. The government does not need to help them.
Yes they do, for kids who live on free food from school. They can't afford anything else so they should be getting healthy meals.
Obum!
Man I never knew one word could make me so angry.
OP you are a fucking idiot. This in no way decide what people eat. This is helping the health of American public school kids. Also if any parents go against the new more Healthy menu, then they can have kids pack a lunch.
;26677362']If people want to eat more healthy they can do it themselves. The government does not need to help them.
Kids aren't exactly good at making wise nutritional choices for themselves. If a school offers a cheeseburger with fries and a soda, and a turkey sandwich with a salad and milk or something, which do you think he's gonna choose?
Holy hell your head is thick. They're going to SELL ONLY HEALTHIER FOODS. Just buy your cola at the store and don't wait in the lunch line anymore for it.
You don't buy the food in school-based feeding programs! Read up. Oh my god school lunches being improved and childhood nutrition being looked at it's obviously the work of socialist communists out to undermine parental control. I'm starting to think you're a poe because it's hard to believe you can be this obliviously hard headed. And look at your goddamn source, http://www.cnsnews.com/, really? This isn't even Fox news, where they pretend to be objective, this is just glaringly biased right wing news. How is it that you hear the criticism of your sources in nearly every topic you make yet think it's a good idea to post something from http://www.cnsnews.com/? Ugh. FUCKIN NAZIS TRYIN TO NOT FEED MY KID SHIT, HOW DARE THEY Maybe if I quote this a few more times you'll get it Understand? No? How about now?
Do you speed read? Slow down. Improving School lunches is the good thing. Providing all three meals, at no cost to the student or parent, even through the summer when school is normally closed, is something that could create dependency and can be abused.

Good on you, I see no problems with just letting people who can't afford healthyish food just die, I know you don't either.
Welp, better get an Australian accent soon because I'm moving.

If a school offers a cheeseburger with fries and a soda, and a turkey sandwich with a salad and milk or something, which do you think he's gonna choose?
Well if I look at americas obesity demographic i can pretty safely assume that not even the american of average age is capable at making wise nutritional choices.
Well if I look at americas obesity demographic i can pretty safely assume that not even the american of average age is capable at making wise nutritional choices.
I remember army recruiters saying that volunteers were too fat a while back.
You don't buy the food in school-based feeding programs!
Why does the article say this then? You know the one you posted: "The law gives the federal government for the first time the authority to regulate the food sold at local schools, including in vending machines."
So many people get free lunch/breakfast/dinner at schools now that soon it will turn into some kind of a soup kitchen. 99% of the time it is parents fault that there kids have to get free meals at school. if you try hard in this country YOU CAN DO WELL. It may be hard, but you can.
Man I never knew one word could make me so angry.
That name for both Obamas was the result of anger.

All you social conservatives rail against social programs for making a nanny state and not pushing people to improve themselves and getting people dependent on the government, well I would rather someone be dependent than go hungry. It's not easy to improve yourself when you don't even have food to eat at home And how could this possibly be abused? It's qualified (i.e. at risk/poor children) being given free, healthy meals. Do you think the kid's gonna say "Score! Now I can skip actual food at home which I surely have and go eat a probably bland but healthy school meal!"?
Well if I look at americas obesity demographic i can pretty safely assume that not even the american of average age is capable at making wise nutritional choices.
True, that's a further part of the problem. Educating people about wise nutritional choices would prob help somewhat, esp at the school level. It's a bit hypocritical, because I don't make the best choices myself, but I know and I at least try.
Why does the article say this then? You know the one you posted: "The law gives the federal government for the first time the authority to regulate the food sold at local schools, including in vending machines."
Because, that's only one part of the law.
That name for both Obamas was the result of anger.
I do not support Obama, but calling them president that is wrong.
But there won't be any little fat kids to pick on any more!
You're right, we'll have to start picking on the skinny little kids! :v:
That name for both Obamas was the result of anger.
No, it's the result of being an ignorant simpleton.
;26677528'] if you try hard in this country YOU CAN DO WELL. It may be hard, but you can.
says the guy trolling out of the basement of his divorced mum's soon-to be forclosed house.

But providing some form of round-the-clock "policing service" (even through the night when businesses are normally closed) is something that could create a dependency and can be abused. Face it glaber, your government already "socializes" many services and to a very good extent Helping people out who can't otherwise afford healthy food is a good thing
You guys realize the CNS in CNS News stands for Conservative News Service, right? These guys are just like WND.
-snip- mah bad.

Good, kids are fat fucks these days.
Don't even bother pointing out that he currently relies on a lot of nationalized services, he'll just deny it.
Maybe glaber has lived in the woods his entire life, explains why he lacks education
