then they can run some laps
I really wish I had just keyed on to the fact you're a troll 5 minutes ago.
This also needs emphasis, school food in general is pretty terrible, esp at the lower levels. http://fedupwithschoollunch.blogspot.com/search/label/daily%20school%20lunch%20post This is enlightening and pretty nasty, school teacher documents the daily lunch at her school. Look at that pizza, does that look like something a kid needs to be eating?
I loved the feeling of piping hot pasta going down my throat. She did this at school? :ohdear:
Meller Yeller is smarter
Don't forget Emperor Scorpious or (somewhat) GunFox, too. There are reasonable right-leaning people on this board. Glaber is not one of them.
I loved the feeling of piping hot pasta going down my throat. She did this at school? :ohdear:
I said pretty nasty, didn't I :smugdog:
then they can run some laps
Exercise don't do shit when all you can eat is crap And after eating said crap, most people can't 'run some laps', people may look fat but really if all they eat is the lowest of the low when it comes to food, they're malnourished and have huge problems building muscle or slimming down
I really wish I had just keyed on to the fact you're a troll 5 minutes ago.
I'm not a troll. I'm being completely serious. People let themselves go. People let themselves become fat, poor fucks. It's not my fault, and I'm sick of being blamed for it. That's why my opinion is the way it is. It's nobody else's fault that somebody is the way they are besides that person. It's not McDonald's fault that the people who eat there are fat. It's not my fault either.
That's like being the first kindergartener to recite the alphabet properly. It's a good accomplishment but the bar wasn't set very high.
They already know the alphabet in Kindergarten? They grow up so fast...
Excuse me? People choose to be poor? No, no one is saying it's McDonalds fault for making people fat, but we're calling you an idiot for saying people can just eat healthier and their world becomes 100 times better
I'm not a troll. I'm being completely serious. People let themselves go. People let themselves become fat, poor fucks. It's not my fault, and I'm sick of being blamed for it. That's why my opinion is the way it is.
Very rarely does a person actually pass the blame onto another tangible thing, ie, "McDonalds made me fat". When someone does they're just being shortsighted, kind of like you, but at the other end of the political spectrum. However, "all I can afford is McDonalds" is a valid statement for millions of people. Why do you think there is such a huge link between poverty and obesity? You have obviously not read up on any of this and you shouldn't be talking about it until you have. [img_thumb]http://www.themoralliberal.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/No-Child-Left-Behind.gif[/img_thumb]
They taught me the fucking alphabet backwards in kindergarten. I knew em both before I went into grade one. Socialist nazi commie Canadian schools man
Don't forget Emperor Scorpious
Emperor Scorpious is right leaning? He's so rational I didn't even notice that. Damn. Respect to him.
Emperor Scorpious is right leaning? He's so rational I didn't even notice that. Damn. Respect to him.
Only time I seem to bicker with him is on the death penalty, if I'm thinking of the correct person.
Bitch, I'm from Chicago. You can't walk 20 steps without being asked for money, bothered for a conversation or asked if you have a candy bar on you. EVERY time I go out there for a meeting I'll order one more pizza than the group needs, order an extra massive platter of fruit, then carry it all on the way back to the car, which is usually a few city blocks. Have you taken in the sight of a homeless man's face when you present him with a meal, albeit cold or stale? The tears that well up because he's eaten nothing but scraps for days on end? I've sat on the sidewalk and shared stories, taken people inside a restaurant for a hot cup of coffee. There is no amount of "wanting to be better" that they can do that will ever improve their life, they are stuck in a rut and probably will be until they die out in those windy alleys. This is why I always try to provide what little I can when I'm out there, because I know there are people who genuinely need the help. It isn't some form of excuse for saying what you do, it is something you do because you know it is right. Now tell me aiding the poor is the wrong thing to do because they can't help themselves.
helping people is bad because theyll become dependent on your help :downs:
You've never been to Pontiac have you? I have seen homeless people before. I've even volunteered at a soup kitchen and helped at least 2 homeless people with getting lunch. (the second one was in Detriot)
Well aren't you just the most upstanding humanitarian. :colbert: Dai and I are both from Chicago. A walk down the street has you practically tripping over homeless people. You call it a nanny state, but it's the difference between giving up your pride or starving to death.

RUSH: Michelle My Belle's obesity thing out here. Look at this. It's at AP, Newsbusters, a number of places: "Speaking at Monday's signing ceremony for the 'Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act' --" See, I keep getting confused if today's bill is to stop kids from starving to death or to keep them from getting fat. I still don't know what it's all about. Is it to keep them from starving to death or keep them from getting fat? At any rate, that's not the point. The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act is "a law that will subsidize and regulate what children eat before school, at lunch, after school, and during summer vacations in federally funded school-based feeding programs -- First Lady Michelle Obama said of deciding what American children should eat: 'We can’t just leave it up to the parents.'" We can't just leave it up to the parents. Our First Lady: We can't leave what our kids eat up to their parents. They gotta leave it up to us, Michelle and Barry.
Source: http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_121310/content/01125104.guest.html That's what he said. Direct from his website.
You know, that really makes sense because Rush Limbaugh made all of the same errors that you did from reading that article.
I wish other gold members could critique about my political orientations... :saddowns:
You know, that really makes sense because Rush Limbaugh made all of the same errors that you did from reading that article.
Ha ha suggesting he read it and didn't directly parrot Rush like the ditto-head he is. e: How about you prove otherwise instead of rating dumb? Your post is almost exactly what he said and you have a history of not reading the articles.
So, ITT: Glaber posts a Rush backed CNS source about something that can only really be a good thing, and proceeds to go full retard through out the thread ignoring any relevant argument. Huh, typical glaber thread, doesn't he get this yet? [editline]13th December 2010[/editline]
Ha ha suggesting he read it and didn't directly parrot Rush like the ditto-head he is.
I think they're both about equally stupid and came to the same equally dumb conclusion.
I live in Chicago as well. I cry every time I drive down the street near my house, because there's always a big, bearded homeless man walking down the street with a cardboard sign begging for food. He reminds me of my great uncle, I always feel compelled to give him some change if I can help it. :3:
So you're saying soup kitchens are not available at least 5 days a week.
This is just going off of what I know. The one I volunteered at was a weekly one. I think.
Sounds like this law would be a better alternative then.
From the point of view of the poor, it is. But from the point of view of the tax payer, it's not. To them it's just more money for the government to take from them.
I think Glaber is secretly a liberal and is just trying to make the conservatives look bad.
Now why do you think that?
Bitch, I'm from Chicago. You can't walk 20 steps without being asked for money, bothered for a conversation or asked if you have a candy bar on you. There was a Homeless person who wanted me to help him get some food. He offered to help pay for it with what little he had. But I let him keep his money and used the voucher I had to get us both food. What I got him was a warm right of the grill Sausage Mc Muffin. And after that he left. I can be sure he was grateful for the food. Now if you're wondering why I even had a food voucher in the first place. It had to do with ho the convention was feeding their staff and volunteers at the Detroit Rencen. This year was the first year for the convention to be at the Rencen and the Union there did not want the convention to provide their staff with food in the staff suite nor their guests in the Con Suite. The vouchers were the compromise.
[img_thumb]http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/9296/iagreetoo.jpg[/img_thumb]
You circled the wrong part. I was agreeing with the part that said "sad".
From the point of view of the poor, it is. But from the point of view of the tax payer, it's not.
Do you really care that much about a piece of paper? Is a piece of paper more valuable than a human beings life? Do you realize that we created that piece of paper? Without human beings, there is no moving forward. And for all you know, it takes one person to change the world and that person on the street who needs some help might be the next Einsten. You never fucking know. You're a terrible person, seriously.
From the point of view of the poor, it is. But from the point of view of the tax payer, it's not. To them it's just more money for the government to take from them.
I would much rather my money go to the poor than to a war.
This hypothetical taxpayer is selfish and short sighted, then. Also you completely ignored the point about how starving is better than being less dependent or something I don't even know
Actually, it shouldn't be like that at all. By more people getting to have a good life and getting to actually get to somewhere successful in life, they help alleviate the tax burden in the long run. When he does reply, it's like he thinks "I don't have enough time to type all this" is an adequate reason for picking the most worthless posts to respond to.
Oh no, Michelle Obama recognizes that parents today are fucking idiots and can't even manage to raise their own children.
yes this is the first generation that parents have been terrible all the other generations were full of sunshine and happiness
yes this is the first generation that parents have been terrible all the other generations were full of sunshine and happiness
I'm glad you've noticed.
yes this is the first generation that parents have been terrible all the other generations were full of sunshine and happiness
Parents have been idiots forever, it's just now there's a lot more retarded parents it seems.

Poorly responding, but still. Guess he has nothing to say about how starving is better than being dependent on the government.
