When scientists finally resurrect dinosaurs, no more questions will be left.
and the roman empire then should be owned by the greek empire! and the greek empire should be owned by the Cretian empire! and the Cretian empire should be owned by their alien overlords!
Greeks never ruled Rome, though? At best, you get cultural influences but never direct control over them.
Greeks never ruled Rome, though?
the people that became the romans were settled as a colony of the greek city states [editline]26th February 2014[/editline] where did this thread go off the rails...
Southern Italy was colonized by Greece but never as far north as Rome proper.
Greeks never ruled Rome, though?
Well what about Byzantium?
Well what about Byzantium?
well they called themselves greeks but in reality they were a conglomeration of european and roman and other peoples which later became turks but not the turks that took them over and turned their country into turkey... confusing [editline]26th February 2014[/editline] back to sevastpol, any news on a russian invasion?
Well what about Byzantium?
The Byzantine Empire was waaaay after the time period we're talking about. [editline]26th February 2014[/editline]
back to sevastpol, any news on a russian invasion?
I wonder if Russia will move into Eastern Ukraine given the huge Russian populations there.
any news on a russian invasion?
30 minutes a... fuck it.
No Stalker joke about Bandits yet? Hello, chiki briki i v damki!
The Byzantine Empire was waaaay after the time period we're talking about.
But Rome was part of the Byzantine Empire, at least during the Justinian Restoration. Anyway, back to topic
But Rome was part of the Byzantine Empire, at least during the Justinian Restoration. Anyway, back to topic
We're talking about when Rome was a young Republic in the BCE age. Way before even Caesar or the Punic Wars.
Please stop it man, for the love of Tartars :v: If anyone, only Mongolians can claim all of Russian territory, and those Mongolians are long gone.
No I still recognize the Golden Horde's claim to Russia.
It honestly could be, if you think about how simply some wars have started. The assassination of a duke in Austria caused an entire world war, so why not a civil war between Ukraine and Crimea?
That's not the main reason why the damn war started, you dolt. If it wasn't that, something else would've sparked it in the end, if you looked at what was going on at the time. War doesn't just start for one event's sake.
But the people support them.
This, why the dumbs ? The protesters are clearly pro-Russian, this is what they want, why should they not have it?
No I still recognize the Golden Horde's claim to Russia.
We need to reestablish the Crimean Khanate. Allah Ackbar :v:
No I still recognize the Golden Horde's claim to Russia.
Are you great Khan of Golden Horde? If not, call him please, I would only speak to him.
This, why the dumbs ? The protesters are clearly pro-Russian, this is what they want, why should they not have it?
Because it's better to have the people formally vote instead of Russia just marching in and taking it. Surely there are substantial minorities in the Crimea that don't want to be part of Russia and support the Ukrainian revolution. Those voices ought to be heard and tallied in a vote instead of hiding in their homes because of Russian soldiers marching through the streets.
russia loves war, it's in their blood.
Says the American?!
Says the American?!
And let's say it another 50 damn times, god damn.
That's not the main reason why the damn war started, you dolt. There was just a bunch of shit that nearly led to it in the early 20th century but everyone always backed off.
It seems it's a new modest thing to call russia bad side on every conflict based on overhyped coverage provided by news channels. I have few friends in both Kiev and Sevastopol and i got to tell ya - there is no such thing as unbiased coverage of events on every side, truth is ALWAYS in the middle with direct reports from witnesses on spot.
It honestly could be, if you think about how simply some wars have started. The assassination of a duke in Austria caused an entire world war, so why not a civil war between Ukraine and Crimea?
The assassination wasn't what caused WWI. Europe was a powder keg ready to blow at the slightest trigger. You've also got to realize Austria-Hungary was an Empire so assassination of a "duke" was a pretty big deal (Although Austria mostly used it as an excuse to invade Serbia which that dragged Russia into the fold and so forth)
Are you for real? I mean really now that's an unparallel level of ignorance right there.
But look at how they're always portrayed in video games and action movies!
