Camel spiders aren't even designed to fight up front like that. Most camel spiders don't even have venom. Something tells me the weta wouldn't do so hot against an old world tarantula.

He is not asking if the species could beat the species of rats. That's hordes versus hordes. Things can go either way that way, it's a lot more variable than one on one. You have the cases of multiple fatalities on either side caused by a single organism of the other species and such. He wants to know- one on one, in a cage fight, who wins. DohEntertainmen didn't answer correctly because he's a doofus. I, too, would like to know whether a rat (or a mouse too I suppose) could beat one of these things up, or visa versa.

Seriously, rats can trash a lot of shit, including insects that are not poisonous. The only defense this cricket has is it's mouth, which wouldn't do as much damage as rat's teeth. [editline]2nd December 2011[/editline] I think there isn't a single insect that can kill animal of the same size without poison, is there?
I want one. "You have a rabbit? I've got a fucking vegetarian super-cricket!"
Read the article, please.
Rats are not mice. Rats are much larger, smarter, and more powerful.
