looks fucking awesome.
Maybe apature science is in such a state because of what happens in Ep3? I mean only GaLados exploded, not the entire place. So maybe we have some connection *crosses fingers*
It appears I have jizz everywhere. Oh god.
1986- Black Mesa starts testing Xen portals, and portals in A.S. are developed. 1995- Gordon Freeman is employed. (This is when Hl1 was released) Gordon then turns on the xen portal thing. Kills Nihilanth. 1996- Chell joins A.S. to test out the portal gun. 1998?- 7hr War begins. Approx. 2000- Glados is turned on. Chell is the sole survivor of the neurotoxins; she slept far away from Glados, and has oxygen supplied in her bed. Humans lost the 7hr war. Chell wakes up. 2015- Gordon returns from stasis, does all Hl2 story. 2100- Chell returns from stasis. What. Theory: The portal storm closing caused time to jump 100 years later, in the near vicinity.
Gordon Freeman was with Black mesa for several years before the events that happened there. [editline]09:36PM[/editline] My theory on Chell She was imprisoned for some reason, and was sentenced, Apature science puts a solution for the problem of overcrowding of prisons - Survive and we set you free (or something similar)
Chell went to the "Party", as GLaDOS kindly stated she would. Please assume the party escort position. Party=Cryotube thing Cake=Clever metaphor and motivation for test subjects
Chell no longer sports the orange jumpsuit
:smug: Naked?
:smug: Naked?
Only on days that end in "y." Oh, Chell? No, she's got a new outfit, it's more blue/white.
Multiplayer. Yes.

Portal and Power Of Paint, can't wait :)
This is going to be fucking awesome
Ok people. Here is the fucking truth. Remember that in Portal Glados mentions that things are different outside? Well, since the events in Portal happen way after the ones in Half Life 2, it's obvious that at the end of HL2: EP3 everything went apeshit, and the whole world got fucked up. When Glados mentions the ones that are "still alive" she is referring to those few that survived the catastrophe, like Chell. And that's why when in Portal 2 you see areas completely destroyed. EP3 is not gonna have a happy ending.
Awesome of valve to pick up the people who made Power of Paint and incorporate their ideas into portal.
Awesome of valve to pick up the people who made Power of Paint and incorporate their ideas into portal.
Did Valve hire them, or just use their concepts?
Power of Paint doesn't work for me :( I press start, and... well, I can't really explain. The menu stays there (non-functional, just an image). That, or the credits page. Sometimes a crosshair appears. At the very best, I can see the level, and strafe left and right. No mouse look or forward/backward movement though.
Did Valve hire them, or just use their concepts?
Valve hired them.
hmm, the seven hour war god i wonder how long that went on for must've been ages
Actually a war can last a time, but resistence can stand longer. It would be theoritically impossible the entire human race surrendered at once, provided that combine crippled communications.
This makes me anxious for EP3.
Agreed, can't wait for the 11th
Actually a war can last a time, but resistence can stand longer. It would be theoritically impossible the entire human race surrendered at once, provided that combine crippled communications.
UN.
Your theory would be kind of cool, but I find it to be highly unlikely.
even more so since he said it, any plot ideas the community catches onto valve go calls their writing guys up and are like "yo, we got a boogie in sector seven, quickly. rewrite everything. yes. everything."
The worst part about this is that it spoils whether not the Combine destroy the Earth
Probably the only Valve game I'm willing to pay $50 for.

finally
No longer wearing the Orange Jumpsuit? Nude? : :q:
Did I see multiplayer?! God that must be AMAZING.
Probably the only Valve game I'm willing to pay $50 for.
I would pay $80 for portal 2 as its going to be that much fun.
I know how Chell is alive, she is in one of those beds you wake up in Portal 1.
