I don't like subbed because it means I have to be watching it 100% of the time, I like to Multi-task while watching tv shows.

Jazzhandsmon is my favorite.
As long as it isn't the last season. From what I've seen, it didn't even had Digimon. That's right, instead of Digimon it had the characters use their digiwatches to digitransform their digiselves into digi-armor. Fucking bullshit.
that's not the last one, there are two more seasons after that.
The one you're talking about is called Digimon Frontier, and yes it sucks.
I couldn't even watch more than about 10 episodes before I gave up and moved on to the next season.
The next one is called Savers/Data Squad, and at least it has actual digimons evolving and being partners with humans, but there is hardly any plot at all.
Each episode is just about a new digimon that's causing trouble and needs to be killed and turned into an egg before it's sent to the digiworld. Fucking stupid.
Also the production value is worse than previous seasons and the voice acting is terrible even in Japanese.
The season after that is called Xros Wars/Fusion, and I just started it a while ago.
It's much more similar to the first three seasons, and it is actually really great so far.
There's no evolution though, instead it's kinda like the evolution in Adventure 02 where several digimon fuse together, except in this season more than two can be fused and in a variety of ways.
Fuck Digimon, bring back my Medabots, nerds.
for gods sake watch the Japanese subbed version if you do that
The American "Digimon Movie" is the worst thing ever in about fifteen different ways
I just watched the Japanese versions (they are actually three separate films). They are much much better, and a bit longer to boot since a lot got cut from the English dub.
Now I need to rewatch the movie where they stop the nuclear missiles.
It's pretty awesome that they had the same animators from Ghost in the Shell.
Third season is actually really good, it just has very little in common with the first two seasons. It was aiming for a more grimdark-y story for the people who had grown up watching the first two, and oh boy, did it succeed.
Yeah, I remember it being pretty cool and all, but the plot was indeed dark.
Had some kind of evangeliony shit in it. Well, not even nearly as fucked up as evangelion ofc, but I remember it being pretty fucked up for digimon standards.
Omnimon and Diablomon were THE SHIT growing up. I can believe I lost my Omnimon action figure, that thing was the best.
Yeah, watch that shit subbed. If I recall the dub replaces the calming orchestral score with obnoxious rock. Plus it also stitches the inferior third movie together with the impossibly brilliant first two.
That also happened with DBZ: The legendary super sayan
Had it in english, and felt like it was too weird with the rock and wanted to hear the jap voices.
The change made me mad that I didn't start it on japanese in the first place.
Fuck Digimon, bring back my Medabots, nerds.
I have an even better idea.
Why not both?
I have an even better idea.

Blasphemy!
Let's bring back Problem Solvers instead! (or whatever it was called)
TBH Digimon, Medabots and Monster Rancher triple comeback would be amazing
ironically I always had to watch this because pokemon was always airing while I was at school
it was alright
Ok, I got it, the second Digimon series "Adventure 02" with Davis and them, was 3 years after Adventure 01 with Tai and the rest.
They grew a lot in 3 years.
So this one will be 12 years after 02, 15 years after 01
I never really experienced Digimon in my youth.
AAAAAAAH
How did I miss this thread?!
A sequel to the original Digimon Adventure featuring a 17-year-old Tai/Taichi with a high school age cast has been revealed.
Digimon Adventure 04?? This sounds like a fun project.
English dub with original non shitty music please.
mips is about to go fucking wild
mate he's already in digimon

Man, I remember the old show, though for some reason the series that sticks out the most is the second one, after Tai and his crew but before the Tamers series with Takato. Speaking of which, my experience with Digimon ended some time during the Tamers series, and I don't remember much past then.
Also, to me the whole thing with Digimon and their evolution under duress makes it seem similar to a combination of Pokemon and Dragonball Z, although it usually takes less time for them to transform.
Angela Anaconda can go shove stones up her ass and fuck a tree. Those were the most painful 15 minutes of my childhood.
Ah... so Angela Anaconda was added into the movie for the NA release...?
That's so fucking random why would they even do that
Oh man, digimon adventures. I don't have too many good childhood memories but this show will always have that "i wish i was still a kid" feeling to me. I liked 02 also even though I missed a few episodes. I would probably have watched the third season but I had already grown out of morning shows when Finlands shitty tv execs decided to air it. Not sure they even aired it at all. I guess this is a hood excuse to nostalgiawatch through all of it.I seem to recall this was one of the better kids shows too. It had actual character development and didn't pander the audience too much. Maybe I'm just biased though.
You mean 03. There was only 2
Digimon Adventure 02 was called that because it takes place in 2002, not because it's the second one

To even begin describing the true final antagonist of Tamers would not only be spoileriffic to all hell, but not do it justice as to how creepy, out-of-place and damn terrifying what it manages to pull off. Not to mention the whole thing involving the government's reaction to the Digimon, one adult throttling the crap out of a kid on-screen (censored into a threat in the dub), attempted/partially-successful genocide and other factors; as well as major character deaths, PTSD and other factors. It's definitely not for kids.
They've only shown the first 2 seasons on TV here back in the day, or at least I'm pretty sure of it, loved them though.
Never played the games or had any figurines though.
the english dub for digimon was awful
that's not the last one, there are two more seasons after that.

Confirmed for only having watched the first few episodes. I wouldn't call the season anything too special, but it quickly ditches the monster of the week format, gains a plot, and has a surprisingly good villain for most of it.
It also has a substantially higher animation budget than previous seasons.
[editline]2nd August 2014[/editline]
Which isn't really hard to have since season 1-3 tended to have the budget of whatever loose change was in the animators's pockets that morning.
Never forget the 5-7 minute long digivolution sequence in one episode in which the entire team cycled through the slow version of their digivolution sequence one form after the other one at a time.

Funny that I should mention Evangelion back there. You mentioning the true antagonist and making me curious, I decided to spoil myself since I'm probably never gonna watch it due to a lack of time and other reasons (YOU'RE A GROWN MAN! START DOING GROWN MAN THINGS! :C)
So I went to the wiki and something I didn't know, it does have Evangelion DNA in it.
Nothing is worse than the Finnish dub.
I just looked it up.
I thought there couldn't possibly be anything worse than the German Naruto dub, but I've been proven wrong. The OP after they changed it rocks though.
I'm really glad we got a good dub from the get-go here, with original music with good new texts too.
(Almost) everything outside movies that's dubbed now is completely terrible and censored beyond recognition.
Sometimes I really regret not growing up around Digimon.
Digimon Adventure 02 was called that because it takes place in 2002, not because it's the second one
But the first one was called Adventure 01, and Adventure 02 takes place 3 years after 01.
According to this Wiki i'm reading.
Or do you mean aired in 2002?

"02" is in reference to the season taking place in the year 2002 as well as a numerical indication that it was the second season. It did not however air originally in 2002. By then season 4 was being broadcast and the ratings were slipping pretty hard.
