So what appeals to you about the republicans then
It's more-or-less family. If anything I'm a democrat, but I don't wish to cause feuds over political non-sense.
It's more-or-less family. If anything I'm a democrat, but I don't wish to cause feuds over political non-sense.
if you have the sort of parents that would harass you for your political views then just don't get into political discussions with them
We harass back, and forth with things. More like to educate from both sides of the topic, but yeah... We avoid political discussion, because sometimes it go's pretty bat-shit during elections.
It's more-or-less family. If anything I'm a democrat, but I don't wish to cause feuds over political non-sense.
So you're literally a RINO? e: Like seriously, why don't you just not hold any position, or be an independent? Or why not just be a dem and let your family deal with it? I'm a dem and my parents are rep and beyond some minor mocking back and forth no one really cares.
"fiscally conservative" is a buzzphrase that means absolutely nothing I can interpret it however I want and make liberals more "fiscally conservative" than conservatives if I like conservatives like big military budgets, liberals don't so much, therefore liberals are the fiscally conservative ones hurr
well conservatives are really fiscally liberal anyway, they're people who don't want to mess with the economic system in the hope it will pay out. [editline]20th April 2011[/editline] people just get confused when when I say conservatives are fiscally liberal though
Joe Skylynx - Closet Democrat [editline]19th April 2011[/editline] you can come out and admit that obamacare is pretty okay
Joe Skylynx - Closet Democrat [editline]19th April 2011[/editline] you can come out and admit that obamacare is pretty okay
Obamacare is shitty, don't make that a Democrat point :colbert:
I wasn't exactly praising it.
I wasn't exactly praising it.
Still, even pretty ok is a bit much
okay how about this come out and admit supply side economics doesn't really work.
Social welfare programs that contribute to a happier, healthier populace are a good thing.
It's more-or-less family. If anything I'm a democrat, but I don't wish to cause feuds over political non-sense.
You realize you can vote democrat and not tell them right elections have a special feature called privacy
You realize you can vote democrat and not tell them right elections have a special feature called privacy
Yeah, well I await when I turn 18. [editline]20th April 2011[/editline]
okay how about this come out and admit supply side economics doesn't really work.
I think that supply side economics is bad with the value without regulation people can fuck up as bad as Jack in The Box did back in the 70's. Is that good?
Uh , no, he was born in a colony of England. Served in the Queen's army and then became independent. If England was annexed by Scotland, would this automatically make all Brits Scottish?
That would be a different situation. If Scotland were to become independent from the UK then all the people who were born in Scotland back when it was part of the United Kingdom would be Scottish.
America was a colony of England. Here's a better comparison. If I was an Englishman in India, and India then became independent, would that make me Indian? [editline]21st April 2011[/editline] Mind you, people actually DID stay in India even after their country pulled out.
If you were born in India then you would be Indian (although not racially, obviously). [editline]22nd April 2011[/editline] And stayed in India.
And another example of human stupidity.
Yes, but he was not born in the current United States. He was born in a colony of Britain.
Can I please just strangle you blue? Please?
It's more-or-less family. If anything I'm a democrat, but I don't wish to cause feuds over political non-sense.
who cares what your family is. you should think for yourself instead of just agreeing with them. the majority of my family is conservative , but I'm not going to agree with ass backwards views just because they do
I think it's very important to note, and should be made clearer, that the Governor who vetoed this is a Republican. It shows that in some small way there might be some good Republicans.

cold war's over, there's no point in supporting this

I like how idiotic politicians and half the republican base think that they can do a better job vetting the president than the secret service and the FBI.
I like how idiotic politicians and half the republican base think that they can do a better job vetting the president than the secret service and the FBI.
It's not that they think they can do a better job, it's that they think the government didn't do it at all or something or maybe they just don't like a black guy running the country idk
Yea can the American dynasties make some new figureheads, these ones are getting pretty boring. Give us some new puppets to complain about.
