I keep forgetting sorry, but I don't think that's very relevant...at all
Just doing my job.
Going to be one hell of a watered down movie... :\
Read it as 'David Cameron heads for Marijuana...", no joke. Thought it was going back down to class C or something. Fuck.# Also - no need for a sequel, James
I knew they would make an Avatar sequal, but... what the hell will it be about?
James Cameron is a real douche. A money-making douche.
Maybe there's Obtanium underwater...
The little mermaid. This guy is a genius. [editline]03:05PM[/editline]
I never understood why we can travel to another planet and mine it but cannot simply bomb it from orbit. Hell even crashing a big rock into it via redirecting it would work.
They were not prepared for any resistance. The weapons and stuff they had were just to fight random animals.
They could have brought it later. Like on Jake's craft.
You people are misinterpreting the article, he's not filming avatar at the bottom of the trench, he is going down there to try to win the prize X, he wants to film that trench in 3d to give a better view on our ocean, because we have barely explored the ocean ourselves. "The X PRIZE Foundation is bringing about radical breakthroughs for the benefit of humanity in the areas of education, exploration, energy and environment" He wants to incorporate what he does and sees down there into the next avatar, and since you cannot see down there without a small light that only lights up 5 feet, he is most likely going down to also get references for his Graphic designers. Since it seems the next avatar is going to be underwater they want to know what the bottom of the ocean would look like.
Thanks for posting exactly what i was gonna post, you people are ignoring the fact that this has only been done three times before EVER, just to call Cameron out on making money. If you knew anything about him you would know he has a great passion for the ocean and is probably doing what we all would do if we had the money, satisfying his curiosity.
I don't get what you guys are bitching about. It sounds like an awesome idea to shoot a movie in the Mariana Trench. It seems like he tries to make a true sequel, not just a continuation of the story in the same scenery.
I hope he drowns
O boy, the swimming pools are going to be overpopulated if that movie rolls into the theatre.
God damn dis gon be kewl, even if the story might turn to shit.
Because he has no imagination and is in fact a very boring person, much like George Lucas.
You're an idiot.
The ocean, that's going to be the primary location for the film? Assuming that's the full picture that sounds like it's going to be incredibly uninteresting, unless they pull some underwater Navi cities or some shit like the god damn Gungans from Star Wars
I don't really care if the plot sucks, if it's anywhere NEAR as fun to watch as the original was I'm gonna go see it.
You're an idiot.
Dog a Hybrid. Dog a Hybrid dog a Hybrid dog a Hybrid.
