That's nice, however Alberta =/= Ontario.

It's a sad state western democracy is in when you have to try and vote not on who will do the best job, but who will fuck you over the least.
We had the same party in power for 44 years. Democracy was on a sad state in Alberta for a long time before this election roles around.
Well, it was nice knowing you Alberta.
I'm wondering how long it's going to take before the Albertans regret this decision.
It's astonishing how many Canadians are completely unaware of the fact that provincial parties, even when running under the same coloured banner, are completely different from one another.

Also, Jim Prentice (PC leader) just completely took his ball and went home. Not only did he resign as party leader, he resigned the seat that he won in his riding. (Which will force his constituents to spend a lot of money holding ANOTHER election)
Nice job
Sounds like Jim Prentice is being a bitter baby. Then again, I wouldn't want to stick around either if I just fucked up a 44-year political dynasty.
And I know there's differences between provincial parties, but when they're all cut from the same cloth with the same core values, there's only so much variation they can have.
Hey Zeke, if someone had told you last year that within a year that Alberta would flip from the PC's to the NDP would you have called them insane?

Jim is a schmuck.

By still regretting it do you mean still holding Rae's NDP responsible for a problem that was well underway by the time they came into office?

I'd be skeptical but if someone said it last year I'd believe it a lot more than if someone said it 5 years ago.

Dunno if posted yet didnt look but, funny that you say hell has frozen over because it started snowing the morning after NDP got the majority and has been snowing all day. In May.
Snow in May is called Wednesday in Canada.

Maybe in the middle of nowhere, but hell would really have frozen over if it were snowing in S. Ont in May. Hell, it was 23 degrees and sunny today.

It was 24 yesterday and then today it was chilly. Here in Alberta it can snow in the middle of July.
