• How a 15-yo Kid Tricked Apple With a Disguised iPhone Tethering App

Is there anyway to transfer or share this app?
Anyone got the code for this? I mean, I will make an app to do this with some crap function like an iPhone 4 flashlight and market it.
Better yet, just put it on your iPhone (as someone in the Developer Program should be able to) and don't even submit it to the App Store.
This is why Sprint is the best carrier.

Which is why Verizon is the best carrier.
There is no best, they all suck equally.
This kid is sticking it to the man! What a genius.
It's ridiculous how expensive data rates are in the US. We pay 4€ per GB per month with free tethering. What are providers doing against tethering on jailbroken iPhones or other more open smartphones?
If Apple delete the Apps from owners' phones (which they probably will do) and refund them (which they might do) then the kid will have to pay the whole cost of the refund, instead of just giving his profits back. Harsh.
Wait, AT&T charges you for tethering? What the fuck
AT&T is an overly expensive bullshit service that is a complete ripoff. Fuck them.
Apple and AT&T took out the App from the App store what a bunch of greedy pricks Also, Tmobile kinda suck at times but its cheap. Android OS ftw!
It's not that you're using "more" of the network, they're charging you to be able to access the internet via your laptop anywhere as long as you have your phone and your laptop networked. I would be more surprised if they weren't trying to charge for it.
I'm not paying any extra for tethering. Though, I live in Finland, my provider is Sonera and my phone is from Nokia.
I am not understanding why this app was so well sold, even while other applications gave the exact same "official" features for free.
I'm not paying any extra for tethering. Though, I live in Finland, my provider is Sonera and my phone is from Nokia.
I don't either on Verizon. Not to say Verizon is anywhere near cheap, but I haven't heard anything about them getting pissy because you used your phone for tethering. This is why Android is nice. You can pay for an app once, for unlimited tethering forever, or if you root, you can get wireless tethering for free. Google has nothing against it, and Verizon, hasn't buttraped anyone (that I know of) for it yet. Although Verizon is introducing tiered data like AT&T is. I just hope they won't be so strict about it. I mean, 2 GB a month? That's tiny!

Yeah, now Apple knows about this and will probably remove it.
