What's wrong with the WP client? Though I'm in the beta so not sure.
It would also be about time for Valve to scratch their ass and fix their horrible Android Steam app as well.
Every time I open it I feel like I'm back to android 2.2

There is no WP client, he was talking about the Windows client.
grinds my gears when apps get better treatment on iOS when it's 50/50 market share in the US and 20/80 (!) in Europe
I can understand if it comes out a little earlier on iOS since you don't have to betatest on as many phones as you can get your hands on, but the Android Steam app hasn't been updated for 25 months...
The Android steam app also doesn't work on my phone at all.
It's definitely a lot quicker, but I can't seem to find the News feed setting to make it sort by newest first.

Me neither.
It's in the right most tab, the 3 horizontal lines. Then scroll down to feeds, then most recent.
It's bullshit to get to, why not just a setting again

The settings never stayed on for me anyway, not in the app or the website, always reverts back to "top stories" for me (yeah right like you know what I do and don't want to read about, facebook...).

Facebook wants to control which stories you see in what order for some reason.
Well shit, it's about time, what happened to the android lovin' Facebook?
Perhaps they decided the iOS version was even worse and decided to force their developers to use iPhones to fix that.
Im still a bit creeped out that when i update, it wants me to allow it to read my messages on my phone.
Its to handle the login code or some crap like that, I wasn't quite sure. The creepy thing is the fact that it wants access to your camera and microphone all the time.
I wish Android had proper privacy control settings like iOS, where you didn't need to use retarded AppOps which crashes some apps when you restrict them of accessing the camera

CyanogenMod improves on AppOps (unless they had to remove it in KitKat), and sends the app empty data for whatever you tell it to.
As for apps crashing on startup when you restrict camera access, you should stop installing shady apps.

I've got OmniROM on my phone with AppOps kitkat and I restricted the camera for Facebook, when I selected camera on FB it crashed, it has nothing to do with restricting things then the app crashing
Do they still maintain the right to read you texts and turn on the mic/camera at any time without user authorisation?

You restricted camera access, something which facebook doesn't plan for because 99% of users don't have access to AppOps, and you're surprised this unexpected behavior crashes the app??

I know it's suppose to happen, what I'm saying is it'd be nice for Android to have some native privacy controls that people can toggle for apps, mainly microphone, camera, messages, calls etc.

It probably will when google decides it's ready for consumer use, and then apps will have to start dealing with it as expected behavior as well.

The facebook client on my WP says otherwise. Plus why would use a client on a computer as opposed to the webpage

so wait
You restricted Facebook from camera access, then explicitly told Facebook to use your camera, and you're surprised that it didn't work?

For fuck sake, I've already explained what I meant
