I've seen photos of him skiing without a helmet on before. Most people never learn until something happens to them. (User was banned for this post ("Didn't read the article" - Orkel))
Damn, Schumacher is still my favourite driver. Hope he makes it through.

How about you read the article before sprouting nonsense like that? (User was banned for this post ("Flaming - play nice" - Orkel))
Would be a shame if we lost 2 of the greatest racing drivers ever in a month.
He had a helmet on, you thick shit.
TBH We only have the resort managers word on that.
I think its his manager (Sabine Kehm) not the resort manager saying that. But on top of this the people treating him have said the same thing (in fact going as far as saying that if he wasn't wearing a helmet he would be dead).
After years of driving a tin rocket around a track at 200mph, this can't be what kills him.
hes in a medical induced coma
;_;
he had a successful operation to relieve pressure on his skull by brain swelling
He'll recover and then win the world cup in f1 without breaking a sweat for breakfast
He'll recover and then win the world cup in f1 without breaking a sweat for breakfast
If he'd still drive. Honestly, his comeback was somewhat dissapointing, but I'll always remember his Benetton and Ferrari days.
Kind of ironic that he survived all the dangerous high-speed racing just to maybe die from skiing.
No, that's not irony at all.
No, that's not irony at all.
Would be slightly ironic if he got hit by a speeding car, though. Not trying to make a joke at his injury or anything, just kinda stating what proper irony in his case would be.
If he makes it he'll likely be living with severe brain damage the rest of his life :(
He'll recover and then win the world cup in f1 without breaking a sweat for breakfast
I'm not exactly a racing expert here, so forgive me if i'm wrong. But didn't Stirling Moss recover from a Coma after his car crash accident? I don't think he raced again after that, so i doubt Schumacher will be able to either, if he recovers that is.
Bear in mind that Schumacher is a 44 year-old retired driver. Even if he recovered perfectly fine, or if he wasn't even injured at all, I doubt he'll set foot in a F1 car again.
He better not pull a Colin McRae, he'll cause as much of a hit as Colin did.

He proceeded to be in the next race and finish the season and race until 2011. Though, knowing ski injuries, this would probably not do well for his racing career.
Kind of ironic that he survived all the dangerous high-speed racing just to maybe die from skiing.
Racing drivers have a tendency to die from things totally unrelated. Just look at Colin McRae. Because, in reality, driving a car fast is not hard at all if you know your car and its limits well. For a pro driver, well, it's a given. People say "oooh 200 mph dangerous etc etc" but for anyone with actual racing experience it's not much of a big deal.
Imagine the speed that he had when he crashed into the rock, apparently his helmet shattered into pieces during the impact.
so doctors(in a press conference) are saying that stuff's improving
Doctors say he has improved slightly. (Watching TV conference)
Scary, hope he won't have permenant brain damage.
Scary, hope he won't have permenant brain damage.
Realistically, it sounds like he will. They're saying he has multiple other lesions all over his brain.
Racing drivers have a tendency to die from things totally unrealated. Just look at Colin McRae.
Yeah, that pissed me the fuck off when i heard about that. Then again, not everyone knew he had a bloody helicopter of all things.
Yeah, that pissed me the fuck off when i heard about that.
Jesus, what the fuck is wrong with you? :tinfoil:
Come on Schumi the Race doesnt end here The Video is amazing btw
Jesus, what the fuck is wrong with you? :tinfoil:
He tried to do a flip in a helicopter. [editline]31st December 2013[/editline] AT LOW ALTITUDES MIND YOU.
He tried to do a flip in a helicopter. [editline]31st December 2013[/editline] AT LOW ALTITUDES MIND YOU.
It's possible, you just need to know what the fuck you're doing. Citation: [sp]Granted, this is the only aerobatics certified helicopter aircraft in the US, but the BO105 is awesome as fuck[/sp]
Course. One of my favorite stories is how HIND pilots would do them during the soviet war in afghanistan. The main problem was that he did it and there was raising terrain, he did a badmovement, couldnt gain altitude fast enough and crashed.
