It's a bit old-fashioned, but it's probably a bit to do with the whole childbirth defects thing. If they used protection then sure, but I doubt enough people would.
Smoking cigarettes increases risk of birth defects. So does alcohol consumption while pregnant. Neither of those are illegal.
Doing those while pregnant increases risk of birth defects fyi.
Not smoking. Smoking can cause birth defects whether done while pregnant or not. In fact it can cause birth defects if the father smokes.
Is this because of the payment or what? Shouldn't they get the same punishment?
I don't even see why he's getting that, sex in public I can get as being an offense but it's not like he raped someone, it was consensual sex between two adults, sure they're related and that's an offense to prevent inbreeding but by that token shouldn't people with heritary diseases also be disbarred from having sex?

People who willingly commit incest probably don't give a fuck so they need to be told about that by way of things like this.
"Heres a £20, go buy yourself some chips"
Is that really grounds to put someone on the same list as a pedophile or rapist? Consensual sex is no where near the same level as rape or child molestation. [editline]7th September 2011[/editline] And why is incest even a crime anyways?
Because of Christian morals that have been ingrown into society so far that it effects the base of what's right and wrong.
Incest I think is okay as long as it's between two consenting adults and no babies are made. But really, there are much better options than fucking your sibling my god
The guy looks like he washed his face with yellow jackets and corrosive acid. The girl looks absurdly creepy.
Sure the brother is butt ugly, but I'd still wouldn't mind tapping his sister.
Dude, no what the fuck. I know beauty is subjective but those are some pretty low standards.
Jesus christ it's like they aren't the first in their family.
Exactly my thoughts :v:
It's a bit old-fashioned, but it's probably a bit to do with the whole childbirth defects thing. If they used protection then sure, but I doubt enough people would.
People seem to have this huge misconception that children born out of incest will immediately be completely fucked up. The reality of the situation is that if your family doesn't have any major defects then the child will be perfectly healthy and normal. Defects only start showing themselves when there's a defect in your genetics that you share with a sibling. For example if a guy has a kid with his sister and they both have a genetic condition which effects the X chromosome then the odds of the kid having it are 50%. Whereas if you had the defect yet had a kid with a person without it the odds of them getting the defect are only 25% [editline]8th September 2011[/editline] That said, scientifically speaking incest is bad because it promotes a limited gene pool (which is NOT good. Diversity = Good).
So, the point you're making is that incest is bad, but not as bad as people may think, right?
Yeah, pretty much.
I knew a girl whose parents were cousins. She was pretty normal.
However I would like to point out that these siblings DO seem to be afflicted with a very terrible physical deformity, and hence, to protect the gene pool, I would definitely advise punishing them!
The sister looks terrifying.
Is there a link to the CCTV tape?
goddamn Lannisters
The article seems less about 'Two people fucked in public' and more about 'OH my GOD, INCEST, EEEEEEWWWW'
This thread made me sad.
I guess the lift wasn't the only thing going down.
Is gay incest also illegal?
I'm going to have nightmares after seeing that damn picture.
I knew a girl whose parents were cousins. She was pretty normal.
Well yeah, cousins are slightly further apart than siblings in the family tree so the chance of a fuck up is lower.
Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
Came in here hoping the girl would be hot, saw the photo, nearly fell off my chair.
Am I the only one that's even more outraged at this? Why should he be placed on it and not her? They did the same thing, they're both being charged, why does he have to register as a sex offender and not her?
Because The Sun
