House Intelligence Committee Ends Investigation, Declares there was No Collusion With Russia

It is crucial Democrats win at least the House in November's midterms if we want to see justice.
This is downright dangerous.
Looks like it's up to the voters to take back America from these wolves in patriots' clothing.
I may have some conservative viewpoints and even think there are a ton of flaws with the current Democratic makeup, but holy shit I would still support any surgical removal of this party which can currently be described as nothing less than a malignant cancer that seeks to turn our government into something Russia / China tier as quickly as possible.

I find it pathetic that this party is now practically comprised of nothing more than "adult children". The "Grand Old Party" of people like Eisenhower, Lincoln, hell, even fucking Nixon, being reduced to some shit like this. Not that the Democrats are perfect either, they have their own slew of flaws and issues. But the shit we see today from the party that supposedly 'represents' the American right-wing, that is 'pro-states rights' and 'the party of family values' is ridiculous.
Instead, all I'm seeing are a bunch of idiotic, spoiled brats in office, being led by an even bigger one. They want it their way or the highway. Their way or no way at all. They don't have to share their toys with the other kids if they don't wanna.
This shouldn't be the sort of general mentality of those running our nation. Or hell, the mentality of those in their fucking 40s and 50s.
Reminder that Devin Nunes was on the Trump transition team. He is a Trump agent who should've recused himself from all Trump-Russia matters but instead ran the House investigation into it. Nunes blocked the Democrats from calling dozens if not hundreds of witnesses to testify and blocked requests for evidence.
The whole investigation is a propaganda puppet show by one of Trump's fucking lackeys.
Now watch Republicans demand all other investigations stop after they determined nothing is wrong. I hope everyone else tells them to eat shit and reminds them of the seven investigations into Benghazi because Republicans wanted to find some reason to blame it on Hillary Clinton and decided they would anyways.
Right? The whole thing reeks of "Look guys, we already asked ourselves, like, 11 times, and we all said 'no', so there's no collusion, end-of!"
This shit makes my blood boil. This is disgusting and I can't wait for the day the GOP pay for everything they've done to help cover Trump.
They'll even try to find a way to pin it on Hillary somehow, I could honestly see that happen.
this is just stupid.

“perhaps some bad judgment, inappropriate meetings, inappropriate judgment at taking meetings.”
Right? It's as if they're saying "Look, we didn't collude with Russia... But if we were to hypothetically do it, it probably could've been done better..."

I honestly don't know which one Trump couldn't stand the most: Execution, or being told that you can never, ever hold public office in the US again before he's even finished one term. :v:
This is all crooked Hillary’s fault. She purposely lost the election so trump would seem like he’s working with the Russians.
MAGA! Fuck these socialist libtards trying to destroy democracy. White House word is final, NO COLLUSION!
Now if you’ll excuse me, Fox and Friends is about to air. Don’t want to miss it. Missed yesterdays airing and I didn’t know what opinions to have for a whole day!
The special counsel investigation led by Mueller is still ongoing; this particular investigation was a separate one and also just a front
still, makes for great fodder, "they don't want you to know the truth..." i mean this is lock her up x10

"FusionGPS/Steele Dossier was a Democrat effort!!!"
Never mind that there's already been a thorough, detailed accounting for how the Steele dossier came to be. Hint: Republicans were paying for it nine months before Trump became their nominee so they abandoned it and the Democrats got ahold of it.

That's another thing too: These people who seem to want to turn the game of politics into more of a televised competitive sport, like football. These people who feel that winning is the only thing that matters. Doesn't matter that thousands of people, possibly tens, or hundreds of thousands, even millions of people get fucked over by some new legislation. Or if we elect child molesters to public office. Just as long as "those dirty Democrats don't win".
Co-operation, compromise, and bipartisanship are all old hat these days, I guess. Only stuff that "dem pussy liberals" want.
saw these pop up

I keep seeing people say this, but I'm not sure what it's based on. The testimony from the guy who runs Fusion GPS didn't say that. He said that a Republican interest paid Fusian GPS to do research, but he never said anything about the dossier being put together from that funding. In fact, he said that he didn't remember if the first client (aka. the republican) was even still paying them when Steele was hired to go to Russia.
If I missed some other source for that, please let me know.
They spent the year actively obstructing investigation. The Republican majority was constantly refusing to grant interviews, subpoenas, etc. The House Intelligence Committee became nothing more than a GOP propaganda machine targeted towards discrediting the investigation. In practical terms, the House investigation being perverted in this way doesn't mean a whole hell of a lot. Mueller's team has the real meat here. However, there are some frightening implications here:
1) This reinforces the simple truth that the Republican majority would rather knowingly allow a hostile foreign nation to attack our country than allow the public to vote for Democrats.
2) This reinforces that the GOP is going to continue actively assaulting our rule of law, and will not vote to impeach Trump when Mueller presents charges.
3) This is going to give propaganda outlets like Fox news a bullshit narrative to sell: intentionally misrepresenting the lines between the house investigation and other investigations, and selling the narrative that, "the investigation already concluded that there was No Collusion? Why is this FBI Witch Hunt still going?"
4) Trump will attempt to use this as justification to prematurely kill Mueller's investigation, using Fox propaganda to incite and misinform their voterbase.
5) The GOP has no intention whatsoever of stopping Trump from attempting to prematurely kill Mueller's investigation, and will in fact almost certainly help him to do so.
And just in time for Russian Oresidential voting!

the bulk of the research was compiled before Trump's nomination was assured and paid for by republicans. the on the ground interviews were put together after the republicans pulled out and they were shopping the research around to the dnc.
the actual dossier wasn't done until june. the way fusion described the process was that they did the paper investigation first and then later on brought in their spy guy to verify things.

Steele was the one to create the Dossier, though. It wasn't based on previous Fusion research. The CEO of Fusion verified this when he said that it was based on human intelligence, and that he didn't really verify much, if any, of the data himself. Even your chart shows the switch from the "conservative publication" to the Clinton campaign before the hiring of Steele.
Saying that a right-wing interest (btw, do we know who this was?) paid Fusion GPS to do research on Trump is entirely correct, but saying that the dossier was paid for, or created for, that right-wing interest just seems flat wrong.

these guys, apparently.
So I conflated Fusion GPS' research with the Steele dossier itself. Small semantic difference, the oppo research was funded by Republicans until it wasn't worth it to them because he was their candidate, and Democrats picked it up coincidentally before it discovered an incredible alleged conspiracy.
Also recall that Steele was hired not to find Russian scandal dirt on Trump, but just to go find out what the hell he was doing with his frequent mystery trips to Russia. As soon as Steele started looking, people openly told him Trump was trying to court Putin's favour for Trump Tower Moscow and doing other business in Russia; it was a public secret in Russia before the election, and only after he won did people clam up because talking about deals trading sanctions killing for business opportunities would have large consequences.
FusionGPS cast a fishhook into the sea without knowing what they'd get and they immediately landed a blue whale.

This is exactly what I'm worried about. The American democracy is under attack, because main players in the Trump administration sees using propaganda and lies to discredit central cornerstones in the American society as their only way of staying out of jail. If I was a US citizen, I would be extremely worried, as this could do critical damage to the country, and provoke strong reactions in the population.

updating this post.
Mike Conway had an interview today where he said that despite their report asserting that the investigation proved there was no collusion they did not actually investigate if there was actually collusion.
Okay can we charge them with criminal incompetence. Seriously If I didn't do my job and just made up results people would die and I would lose my job.
Party of integrity my fucking ass. On the plus side the pressure is on from the Mueller/Daniels front so I'm cautiously optimistic we will see some good news soon.
Ok wait, so I'm not the smartest guy in the world, but let me see if I can figure this out.
The House Intelligence Committee released a report that said "No collusion", but never, uh, actually checked beforehand.
Who the fuck is there to hold these people accountable? Our government is a joke.
I was really, really hoping this was a badage boys thread. First time I've ever been disappointed that it wasn't.
