They were trigger happy bastards. Have you not seen that video or something?
Unfortunately if the assassination fails and he manages to live he will take it as some divine intervention and go even more crazy batshit.
They better aim really well.
You don't need to aim with a big enough bomb. And the US military has some BIG bombs. Not nuclear, naturally, but all they need is a big bunker buster.

ahahahahahah
uh-oh, internet tough guy right here.
For those of you who don't know what Gaddafi's been up to, his wikipedia article (Assuming it hasn't been vandalized) should give you a good idea.

Was expecting top gear.
Especially when i saw "Three men"
You mean the reporter that, against advice from his editor, embedded himself with a bunch of insurgents?
Everybody has a gun in iraq, how can you distinguish insurgents from non-insurgents. I went to Iraq last summer, somebody threw a RKG-3 at my forehead! Hurt like a bitch.
Send in an assassin after him or something
Personally I think we should just nuke the entire middle east because all these fucking protests are always on TV and interrupting my favourite shows. Did you know Family Guy was delayed for 5 minutes today because of this? I was fucking spewing.
Ok now I think the UN should do something.
Have any of his amazonian guards been captured or killed yet? id like to know if there true.
those cameras were probably rpgs or ak 47s
Isnt it more of an american thing to mistake cameras for weapons and murder children and reporters while laughing about their faith?

Someone get this guy a clip so he can do some damage
If amercia decides to go there:
:foxnews: Libya have weapons of mass destruction :foxnews:
I don't understand how he's still alive. Of the millions of protestors in libya who have seen others get shot down, how have none of them assasinated Gaddafi? Obviously you can't get close at all, but some sniper rifles can fire several miles.
I just think it's bizarre that in an entire country of conflict caused by one man, nobody assasinated him. His guards won't exactly see you from miles away on a rooftop and if he steps next to a window or goes outside that's game over.
I guess he's being extremely careful and remaining indoors, away from windows and such though. That's the only thing I can think would be how he's still alive.

Most likely. With the crazies comes paranoia, which leads to a more difficult assassination target. Even so, the rebels are more focused on defending themselves against Gaddafi's forces, being threatened by bombing runs and other aerial threats.

i forgot most people in libya were world class marksmen and had easy access to sniper rifles. to think it could have been so easy had we just listened to General Jallen

Here's something you can do to see how hard it is to do what you just said.
Grab a sniper rifle, most likely not well maintained because of it being in the hands of rebels, sneak into a heavily guarded city while concealing it.
Go on top of a roof with a clear view of the presidential palace, then (Providing YOU know how to, because you'll arguably have as much training as a rebel would) take into account wind, sway, bullet drop, resistance by glass or wood (if he is behind it).
Then, fire a single bullet, in a fatal location, from several miles away.
You can't.
