WTH happened to him that he looks so fucked up? Did everyone just throw WP grenades at him?
Whatever, he's dead.
The crowd beat/kicked his body after he died I think.
Any sources for the claims of the rebels killing him on the spot?
The Guardian disagrees with that assessment.
The closest evidence i've seen of that claim so far is that one video of him badly wounded and being manhandled into the back of a pickup truck. We'll just have to wait and see.

It's untrue. The BBC are showing footage of him alive and captured.

Sounds like he's pretty dead..
That's not what I asked for. I know he's dead but I'm asking if he was arbitrarily executed by the rebels upon capture.
Great, we supported a regime that murdered a man in cold blood without so much as a trial. What on Earth were we even doing in Libya?
He was a fucking dictator who oppressed his people, stop trying to take the moral high ground.
That's not what I asked for. I know he's dead but I'm asking if he was arbitrarily executed by the rebels upon capture.
Well if he was found in that hole all crazy dictators go to when they are on the run, there was most likely blind gunfire into said hole.
He was a fucking dictator who oppressed his people, stop trying to take the moral high ground.
So? You don't kill unarmed men without a trial. What about all those people who are being tortured in the NTC prison cells? The new Libyan government is fucked up. If we fought against Gadaffi under the pretense of "protecting civilians" then we should be going back in now.
You haven't spent your life being treated like shit by said man, you have no right to judge the Libyan people.
I'm not talking about the Libyan people, i'm talking about the people saying thank god he's dead, kinda like how the streets were full when Osama was killed, it was disgusting, celebrating the death of another human being is disgusting just let the guy rest in peace

Here's a video of him still alive. I believe that it's very likely that a very angry rebel shot him just because he could.
[editline]20th October 2011[/editline]
And here's a picture of his head at the doctor. I don't know if that's a gun wound. If it is then I'm quite sure he was executed.

Historically speaking: Kill him before more shit starts.
But killing him is a 'slap on the wrist' and you are just getting rid of him for society. Killing him really isn't a punishment, especially for what he did. I don't know how well protected he would be, but keep him alive and alone and mentally torture him for as long as possible. There is a lot we can learn from him, and killing him would be flushing a wonderful opportunity down the drain.

He wasn't shot on the spot-

Disappointed he died, never really answered for what he did. Oh well, I don't blame them for killing him/mortally wounding him.

He wasn't killed, and he was wounded when they found him.
He was allegedly badly injured by a NATO airstrike on his convoy, which was why he was hiding in the concrete piping in the first place.
In other news, Stocks in really cool sunglasses took a nosedive today...

Dude, watch out, there's a crack in that pedestal you've placed yourself on.
I'm really happy for the rebels, they did fucking good.
The maddest of props to them.

but...
Egypt had the best revolution of all time
Y'know what's really, really weird?
I'm okay with this and I don't feel an obligation to argue that his death was a bad thing. I mean, it isn't neccessarily a good thing, but one way or the other, the world has been bettered.
but...

Thanks Kanye.
I think they should have captured him and paraded him through the streets of Libya, but at least he's gone for good.

Apparently he tried to run and shot an NTC soldier so they shot him in the legs and chest but I don't think anyone'll really know for a few days.

He looked a lot more respectable before his face went all weird and melty.
It was like a fruit going ripe and dying.

Someone would have shot him, in fact I imagine something like that isn't far from what happened

He deserved it.
He didn't deserve to be flat out executed, he deserved a trial.
