Can I declare my bedroom a state in exchange for allowing the US to use it as an overseas military base?
Link is busted, anyone have another website for live updates?
It's working fine for me, even did an uncached refresh to double check. It does seem to take a little longer to load than last night though.
EDIT: looks like they moved it a little, the subdomain changed from www to div2. New links are:
Keep current status:

New status if 'NO' on above:

I'm waiting to see news of any of this from rush limbaugh
Guessing it'll be a mix of the expected "Oh no more la-tee-noes whites are becoming a minority fight to keep america amurrican!" and something racey like "GOOD now they'll have somewhere to go"
BBC reports that Obama says he will respect the vote
I think it's up to Congress but it can't hurt to have the President's support
Obama says he will respect the vote
Over to you Congress
Both sides have already said that they would respect the vote, and a request for statehood has never been outright rejected, so here's to hoping.
Still waiting for the day we have 69 states.
Because I'm that much of a child.
haha!! because 69 is a sex thing LOL
Congratulations, you got the sarcasm.
[editline]a[/editline]
So what would happen if it became a state as opposed to a territory? Legitimate question.

this is america and we speak american.. not mexican.. say NO to puerto riCO
Puerto Rico needs to think long and hard about this, for the US is like Hotel California: You check in, but due to constitutional law, you don't check out!
So when does this go to congress?
When they write their own constitution and submit it to congress for approval.
I think I talked more about this today than anything else. I'm more excited over this than I should be, really.
I think I talked more about this today than anything else. I'm more excited over this than I should be, really.
Why shouldn't you be excited? It's not too often you see a new state join the country, the last time it happened was over 50 years ago and who knows when it will happen again.
i welcome any attempt to reduce the amount of white people in the United States.
i welcome any attempt to reduce the amount of white people in the United States.
Except the only "amount" that will change is the percentage.
And the few idiots who move to Canada for some reason.
UK 52nd state please.
Well, not the whole UK. How about we give them the Isle of Wight (famous for colourful sand) or Milton Keynes (famous for roundabouts)?
Or maybe Scotland? They seem keen on breaking away from the UK, I'm sure they'd luurve to be part of the USA :v:
i welcome any attempt to reduce the amount of white people in the United States.
Why do you always do this?
Milton Keynes
That's cool that the town also shares the name of two of history's finest economists.

Racist.
No, seriously, that's racist.
Edit: Not trying to be a "wh1te ~apologist~" here, but by definition, that is racism.

We all know where this road goes.
Let's not go there.
More than that most likely. Puerto Rico's population is roughly 3.7 Million, higher than 22 current states.
God damn it Puerto Rico, stop having more people than ME.
i welcome any attempt to reduce the amount of white people in the United States.
If we were to count all the different minorities (non-whites) as a whole in the USA, they'd have a larger number than the majorities (whites). Therefore the minorities are the majority.

Buckle up you're in for a wild ride on the SS "AwShit"

It's not as if all minorities are one big happy collective. Whites certainly aren't.
That's cool that the town also shares the name of two of history's finest economists.
It's a "new town", so I figured it might have been actually been named after them, but it turns out it's named after a village which has been around for 900ish years...

i don't know what you are trying to communicate to me but based on the 2011 census 63.4% of americans were non-hispanic whites.
