It's not really "anti-christian" though. It's a light-hearted joke.
To them this is important stuff that shouldn't be joked about
This isn't like jokes about "the priest and the nun are playing golf...". It's taking a very important, personal aspect of their church and making a joke of it.
Megyn Kelly. :allears: :h:
No but seriously, I found it very tasteful. Come on, God loves Doritos.
But I'm a Christian, not a Catholic.

I don't know why but their faces at the first few frames of the video made me crack the fuck up.
I bet you guys would get pissed if this was mocking Atheism, or what ever angsty teenagers like to believe in these days.
How do you mock atheism?
I like how he says its better to make fun of the minority then the majority. I just dont see the logic in that.
Might of misunderstood me, that was the point I was making.
actually i'm pretty sure the point of my post went a few miles over your head
Lars Larson.

how do you mock atheism
the only thing inherent to atheism is a lack of belief in deities
"god has a sense of humor. thats why he made democrats": everyone laughs.
Doritos are so yummy that they would attract people to the church if you served them: ok now your going to far.

I'd be kinda annoyed that we can't mock christianity without being "distasteful" -- not in the joke itself.
Catholic =/= christian
this is why i think most atheists dont know what theyre talking about

"hey I bet more people would think logically if we put Doritos in a science text book"
yea I dont see that being offensive.
edit
btw being a rebel on the internet= super angst

So an Islamic militant group put a hit on the creator and Pakistan blocks Facebook because of it and you're implying there was no reaction?
It was Anti-Catholic, not Anti-Christian.
Also I found the joke tastless
So an Islamic militant group put a hit on the creator and Pakistan blocks Facebook because of it and you're implying there was no reaction?
so a muslim extremist group and a shitty government react and you imply that there's a huge muslim reaction to everything that mocks them?
Catholic =/= christian

excluding the ludicrous amount of death-threats the creator got, I suppose so. You're giving religious fanatics too much credit, yes theres a proportionally high number of fanatically muslims out there. Now proceed to belittle because you say Muslims are renowned for their love of peace and progressive values.
The girl's right. You can't satisfy everyone. Someone will always be offended about something. ALWAYS.

prove it
and none of this anecdotal crap, i want numbers

That's such a stupid thing to say

Yea and the same goes for christians and many religions. Thats just what religion does. There are crazies of all religion that want to kill people for doing something they dont like.

I don't even need to do this really, places like Pakistan, Iran, and Lebanon are proof in itself. I don't understand this need to play some sort of "innocence" when it comes to Islam. Yes it faces discrimination, but at the same time you can't turn your back towards the whole thing just because of it.

I wouldn't disagree, I'm just pointing out that theres more fanaticism in Islam. I don't want to derail this thread further though.
Now proceed to belittle because you say Muslims are renowned for their love of peace and progressive values.
who said that
who said that
nobody yet, it just seems like the most common defense mechanism (that or calling me an Islamophobe for pointing out the obvious). I haven't implied he was already doing so or anything.
