But the facts remain. Diet pepsi is Jesus blood. :downs:
I want a re-up of the commercial to a non-youtube site.
James Rolfe (Angry Videogame Nerd) has an appearance in that ad. Full ad: at 0:37 the AVGN appears.
private video :argh: I need to see this ad [editline]7th January 2011[/editline]
I want a re-up of the commercial to a non-youtube site.
http://www.cinemassacre.com/2010/12/31/my-appearance-in-banned-superbowl-commercial/ http://palpular.com/video.php?videoid=4215 I downloaded the video just in case it gets removed
lol Jesus blood is calling us fat "drink my diet blood, you need it"
Jesus is also a sell-out. "Oh, and I got a deal with Pepsi and Dorito's. Hope you don't mind."
I gues the difference is that someone mocking the atheist religion (not sure if that is correct) then they would still laugh about it because you can't offend a god, it doesn't have any "official" rituals either. I had to chuckle on the commercial however, but if people get offended then take it off, just PLEASE don't scream about it...
So God likes Doritos? How is that anti-christian? I'm a Christian, and I still think this is funny.
This is pretty much what is going in my mind atm. You mention god in anything that isn't pro-conservative/pro-christian and people shit bricks.
Someone shut up Lars by saying: God created everything even the guy who invented Doritos, that makes Doritos a creation of God implemented to men minds so if Doritos is envolved with the cristian religion it fits right because it's coming back to it's true creator. Thats what i'd say to that dumbass.
So? A ad about eating some chips. Who cares.
I'm not entirely religious and I find that the internet circle-jerking over religion being the cause of all humanities suffering and stunting science's progression but honestly, if you're going to hate something - don't hate the people that have their lives changed/enriched from following something, if they're happy I'm happy. Yes I might be slightly hypocritical at times but you have to realise that ORGANISED religion - i.e. The Vatican, who siphon off funds "For the Lord" and honestly, what practical use does it have other than diamond encrusting his hat? That's what I hate about religion - and yes I might be angry at Christians at times because they are, at times incredibly stupid, and so is every other religion AND atheists what I dislike amongst that is the fact that every time there's a religious debate all it turns out to be is blindfolded retards following their divine "truth" arguing with other people who follow their "divine truth" too, and honestly If you'd all learn to shut the fuck up about everything religious in the world and try to focus on more important matters such as, say I don't know: LIVING YOUR LIFE What I'm trying to say is: Let them be happy, let Faux news and other religious supremacist revel in their ignorance and try to make yourself less of an ignorant twat in the process, don't hate the nice, friendly people who find comfort in something like god, and if you're going to argue - at least try to be sophisticated and educated about the subject, not some arrogant twat that thinks that everything is wrong other than what you say. Be quiet, be reasonable, be educated is basically the summary of that.
Why are they even using relgion to try and sell something.
Fox news. :downsbravo:
Why does this seem to be the trend; to make fun of Fox News REGARDLESS what they're actually doing. Now, to be fair Fox News is stupid, but sometimes there is no reason. For example, this video. Fox News didn't ban the ad, Fox News didn't create the controversy all they did was report it and took different opinions. Not to mention, the reporter for Fox News in the video actually tries to rationalize the ad for the other two, claiming it was in good fun, that it wasn't treading on god's toes and what not. CNN reported this same story, in the same manner. I don't see a big thread with "CNN: DORITOS NEXT TO GOD?" [editline]7th January 2011[/editline]
If you eat Dorito's or drink Pepsi, Jesus Christ hates you! That's basically the message these "Christians" are spreading. They might as well make a counter ad "Drink Pepsi, god kills a kitten."
That's exactly what they're saying. Okay. Thanks for that enlightening information, Jurikuer.
Just another cookie cutter argument. If you think about it, at bits you can replace Christians with a race such as white and Muslims with black and you can have the typical black oppression argument.
Anti-Catholic=/=Anti-Christian

I don't really think it's completely balanced, all of the people were Christians, the news reporter sided with Lars, then they all derailed the topic (within 2 minutes) in order to talk about muslims.
I feel sorry for the normal Christians. Fox News makes them all look bad.
Terrible commercial anyways...
I stopped where the guy was bitching about how Diet Pepsi isn't the blood of Christ. I'm p sure that Jesus's blood wasn't wine either. And I don't think his flesh was crackers.
his flesh was crackers.
hmm I wonder if I can call jesus a cracker and get away with it.
I gues the difference is that someone mocking the atheist religion (not sure if that is correct)
It isn't. Atheism is lack of a belief in a god, that's it.
It isn't. Atheism is lack of a belief in a god, that's it.
Atheism is regarded as a religion by the Supreme Court which gives Atheists the same rights and protections as Christians. You can't discriminate against someone because they're Atheist, and this was basically only achieved by calling Atheism a religion.

"God has a sense of humor, he invented the democrat party" I am offended, take down his radio station and stone him.
It's funny because it IS true. In all seriousness, I got 2 things to say: You can't make fun about anything in religion (ffs....) Fox news
oh wah they insulted my imaginary friend make them stop
Yeah, you are so cool insulting his religion. No, it doesn't make you higher on the social scale. I respect Atheists, but those who insult others religions are not that respectable. Edit: And yes, I find this ad funny.
I can't take either of these women seriously. Stop pussying up America for christ's sake.
To quote Dara O'Briain: A christian once came up to me after a show and said to me, "You'll make jokes about the christians. You'll make jokes about the catholics, the protestants, but you won't make jokes about the muslims, will ya? Oh nooo, not brave enough to make jokes about the muslims", To which I replied, "I don't do jokes about muslims for 2 reasons. 1, I don't know, a fuckin' THING, about muslims, and 2, neither do you."
People can't take any humor.
I don't watch Fox News (I don't get it in my country), but did that guy seriously just quote the Bible as to why the advert was bad?
If they played this at the Superbowl, God would have smited everyone involved with his everpowerful love!
Technically, if it was a real church then the priests wouldn't be doing anything wrong as it doesn't matter what kind of bread or wine they use but what it becomes when it's consecrated. Ex catholic knowledge ftw, I only had to be raped by a few priests to get it.
