:Dawkins102:
Call of duty: marathon warfare
So it's just Activision publishing the games, like valve an EA? Doesn't seem that bad.
Fucking Activision.
So it's just Activision publishing the games, like valve an EA? Doesn't seem that bad.
Activision has the money, in the end they call the shots. Infinity Ward was great, then along came Activision and pushed they and shoved to get MW2 finished and released, to them it's about hype and money, not the game. That's what a publisher does. The reason Valve gets to spend months.. years.. on a single game making it exactly what they want is because they are their own publishers. They make and spend the money however they see fit. Seeing as how they just moved into a large office complex they had built for them, I think they're doing alright.
Halo is Microsoft's cash cow. Bungie must be working on something different for this deal. For a fucking change. Shame they had to pick Activision though...
Because Bungie are there for money, granted their games are good but they're not exactly gonna say no to a major publisher when 8 or 9 digit payrolls are mentioned. Don't think of business like a kid, money rules not the game.
I was thinking with money in mind. Activision is the kind of publisher that enjoys fucking with there developers financially. If you didn't hear they recently didn't pay what they owe to one of there biggest developer and money cow Infinity Ward.
I'm pretty sure the Halo IP is wholly owned by Microsoft at this point. But yeah, it looks kinda weird that they ditched off Microsoft for Activision... Still, I think that Microsoft and Activision are almost as equally 'evil' in their business practices, so I don't really see a huge difference between them, expect maybe that now Bungie's future games are going multiplatform.
Call of masterchief: modern halo 3
:smithicide:
Call of Duty: Future Warfare.
We can expect CoD: Reach next month?
evil publisher bhaahhhahahhahahah BAHAHAAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHah oh my god what the fuck
Halo on the pc?
Isn't the new one meant to be on PC as well?
To all of you speculating Halo on various platforms: No. Halo Reach is the last Halo game to be developed by Bungie and Microsoft still owns the IP. Activision is merely going to publish Bungie's new IP.
tom klang has got to be laughing about this one
Well there goes the halo series. It was a fun series while it lasted.
Well there goes the halo series. It was a fun series while it lasted.
It was great, I agree. But it was ending anyway, this deal had nothing to do with it. Their new IP should be just as awesome anyway, can't wait to see what it is. That's a while after Reach though.
The reason Valve gets to spend months.. years.. on a single game making it exactly what they want is because they are their own publishers.
They are their own digital publishers yes, but they need EA for Xbox 360 and PC retail copies.
Well, there goes Halo...
They are their own digital publishers yes, but they need EA for Xbox 360 and PC retail copies.
I don't think the PC ones are published by EA, the orange boxes case didn't have nay EA logos on it.
God dammit. There goes halo
It's a good thing they are finishing it with Halo: Reach, they just saved yet another franchise.
I didn't even know that they split with MS. I haven't been paying attention So can we safely expect an eventual Halo game on PS3?
Yeah, I don't remember any Bungie game being multi-platform. But I do hope that they at least release something for PS3. If it's Reach, then I will be pleased. Just so that way I don't have to by an Xbox to try a game.
hey guys did you try halo: rockin the oldies and halo idol
Suddenly, knife kills and jam-covered screens in Halo.
Halo wasn't good since Halo 3. Not activision's fault.
I thought no, Bungie will be smart, they will appreciate their work, they will try not to milk it. LOL NOPE.
EA have lost their title as the evil publisher [editline]10:20AM[/editline] Activision is the new evil Publisher
R.I.P Bungie and here i thought Bungie was one of the companies that had more sense, clearly i was proven wrong. Fucking Activision just go bankrupt and fuck off already we're sick of your shit.
