You'll be laughed out the building, trust me.

.. and why is that exactly? Anyone with half a brain can build a PC that will run those programs better than a mac will for less money. Makes zero sense to me. Obsessed with shiny boxes and fancy logo's and bringing their trendy e-penis into the work environment seems the most likely explanation.
I have a pc it's unreliable and oldish but i still like it more than macs , though i'm writing this on apple iphone.
Fuck, i hate this stereotype. Girls assume everyone has an iPod (Real men don't use iPods) and that everyone uses facebook. I only have facebook because i wanted to see Garry Newman's profile :sigh:
I have neither. How rebellious of me.

That's because you're not smart enough to use Linux
oh please. linux users just want to be 'the elite' and convince everyone it's super hard to use to make them sound better at using computers than they really are

Well it's true hardcore linux nerds hates distros like ubuntu and linux mint because they think it makes it too easy to use linux :haw:

Businesses are not interested in building their own computers. They buy computers in bulk (saving them money). It takes time and money to build 50 computers and install all the operating systems and that kind of thing. Also most computer manufacturers offer tech support for businesses.
For a graphics department to switch operating systems as well would cost thousands, as they would have to rebuy all the software.
I've always found OSX to offer a far smoother workflow for design and creative work. Windows is still a very clunky experience for that kind of thing. Small things like automator and quickview do wonders for your workflow.

ok, you said yourself that you were only talking about programs that are available for both os's, so the "workflow" should be virtually identical, because the programs are identical.
and are those small things really worth $2000-$10000 extra?
Sometimes, I think I'm the only person that absolutely despises the Mac UI. It's all sleek and stylish but nothing is just right there. No, you have to guess at what icons mean, and where you should mouse over to make some pop-up menu appear.
Same thing applies for Google Chrome.
No kidding, maybe Apple should stick to mobile devices? There pretty much wasting money on Macs.
YES. This is the wisest thing anybody has ever said about Apple.
My household is Mac exclusive. No, I don't feel special, more so just saying.
Mac bashing, it's really cool. :geno: If you're just going to bash people that use them, you're no better than the people you're bashing, which are morons anyway. The people you're bashing are the ones that don't realize you can buy a mouse not made by Apple and have it work in their Apple computer. Those people are computer ignorant and really aren't worth your time anyway, right?
I learn all the Mac and Apple quirks on my own and do all the Windows stuff at school. I happen to not like Windows near as much, but whatever. I can do what I want to do on my laptop since I'm not a PC gamer, so it doesn't really effect me.
Further editing: Boot camp is pretty cool. My favorite thing is when Windows exclusive users bash Mac OSes, but then they use RocketDock or shit their pants over features that are added to windows or are plug-ins they can get that are really standard on Mac OS X.
It's just a computer.
Last edit, I swear: I really do like Snow Leopard (OS 10.6). It's pretty slick and I haven't had any issues with it yet.

We use rocket dock for FUN and we love our task bar. You see we launch things from rocket dock but they minimize to a convenient task bar located at the bottom of the screen. The only reason i dont like macs is their interface, its just not as effective as windows. Other than that macs are great (ex: they are super fast at video processing/editing)

IPods are fucking awesome, especially once you jailbreak it.
(I wouldn't buy an IPod at all UNLESS I could jailbreak it. I only recommend it if you intend to jailbreak.)
