You gonna cook for me? sweet.
You know some people don't have time....
People don't have the time because that's what they tell themselves. If everyone was responsible enough to get up in the morning you could easily have time to fry some eggs and bacon and honestly the best kind of breakfast sandwich they don't even serve at mcdonalds. Fuck bacon I want livermush on my damn biscuit/sandwich.

I very often cook myself and my mother a hellacious breakfast before she leaves for work in the morning and she often wakes me up with breakfast already made.
[editline]28th April 2013[/editline]
You want those oval hashbrowns? Guess what? They sell those in packs of 24 at food stores.
There's always a time for fast food, but it's good to be able to cook for yourself too.
I had the cravings for Mickey D's a while ago but I ended up making my own bacon egg and cheese (on toast, I didn't have any biscuits) and it was just as good if not better. Also, home cooking saves you money.

Because a normal person can grill up a hamburger or fry some chicken in 30 seconds
Haven't had McD in a few years but THEY FUCKING REMOVED THE CHICKEN SELECTS? WHY?
I got them twice, and they were mistakes. So loaded with oil. Like they let them cool in the fryer. I'm sure I'm the minority, but I won't miss them.
It always blew my mind why there's not a single fast food place that does this
Like, I fucking love breakfast and will always have when I start my day if I can help it. Sometimes I get up pretty late and gotta run somewhere. Yet every single place that serves fast food only serves breakfast until early morning- 10:30/11 or so.
What blows my mind the most is places like Tim Hortons, a predominatly "breakfast focused" and baked-good type of fast food place, stops serving breakfast before fucking mcdonalds does! I mean, it seems extremely obvious for places like tim hortons to serve breakfast 24/7 considering they sell donuts and advertise the fuck out of breakfast/coffee/etc, but the only things you can actually get 24/7 are their shitty basic sandwiches which nobody actually goes to Tim Hortons for.

I'm glad places like Perkins and other local restaurants don't do that.
Because a normal person can grill up a hamburger or fry some chicken in 30 seconds
Actually it only takes like 4 minutes maybe give or take a minute or 2 to fry a burger depending on how you like it and not some thin flimsy burger either. Honestly though id pay money to see someone eat chicken from anywhere that had only cooked for 30 seconds... You sir sound like you don't know how to cook...not to mention I could make it at a fraction of what is cost in 1 of those places.
[editline]28th April 2013[/editline]
I like my burgers a little on the rare side where it's still ever so slightly pink on the inside. Yum!

To me the trade off of having better quality of food at the expense of a relatively negligible amount of time seems like a good trade. Cooking a meal for yourself is pretty fast, burgers take no more than 5 minutes.
But hey its your choice.
successful corporate propaganda fools the generic internet masses yet again, never change facepunch

Three ounces of beef in a six-inch diameter circle takes, on average (pan frying at medium heat, gas stove) about eight minutes. Roughly four minutes per side.
I'd imagine you're doing one or two-ounce burgers, or making them larger.
I just ate a homemade mcmuffin (english muffin, egg, cheese, sausage) and it was good.
I still like McDonald's though.
Mcdonalds has been dead to me since they got rid of these

Last time I went to macdonalds wasn't long ago and they had Chicken Selects. They're like the only things I eat there.
At least in the UK Macdonalds.
praise the lord
I'd like if they served breakfast at least a bit later, like until noon or one (which ever makes it easier to deal with the lunch rush, since I don't know exactly when that starts having only ever worked at dinner places). I've almost never been able to make breakfast unless it was before 7 am, having always had class during that period and being shit at waking up early enough to have any semblance of free time prior to whatever I have to go do. I miss those hotcakes breakfasts and mcgriddles.
Edit: mcdoubles with shredded lettuce added are amazing. I always get them with that and without the onions or pickles.

and a good oven steak just takes 15 minutes
They might aswell put a gym near there as well for people to burn off all the calories, As it's in the Usa.
This is going to make my new healthy diet that little bit harder to stick with, those sausage and egg muffins taste amazing.

please don't ruin it for me
don't ruin the illusion

Good luck doing that on lunch break.
Steak and egg bagel all day?

That looks pretty good, it's a damn shame we don't have them where I live.
Good luck doing that on lunch break.
Now, I'll be entirely honest with you, I don't really eat out during lunch break. I go home (I live rather close), pull out some leftovers from last night, nuke 'em, and eat them before heading back.
Fast, efficient, and I don't spend quite so much.

You are lucky, most people don't work/study near their place.

3 ounces sounds about right but I do believe I flatten them a little more than a 6 inch diameter because as you cook them they shrink as the fat burns and become taller and smaller around.
I know how to cook and I still eat McDonald's because I don't feel like cooking burgers at midnight.
Sweet baby Jesus, now I can eat Chicken Mcbiscuits anytime.
Those things are so gooooood.
A quarter pounder is just a hamburger with more meat.
a quarter of a pound of meat to be exact!
Actually it only takes like 4 minutes maybe give or take a minute or 2 to fry a burger depending on how you like it and not some thin flimsy burger either.
Okay now cut the tomato, onion, and lettuce. Make a sauce. Toast the bun.
Okay now cut the tomato, onion, and lettuce. Make a sauce. Toast the bun.
You REALLY don't know how to cook. Anybody with true experience in the kitchen knows to do all that while it's cooking. Besides, I don't think i've ever quite heard of someone making a sauce for burgers at home or toasting the buns. The sauce is called ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard... also you don't cut the lettuce you simply rip off what you need for each burger or a bunch at a time for everyone. Besides slicing a tomato and onion given that you have proper cutting utensils takes like 15 seconds each to cut a whole tomato and onion in slices.
[editline]29th April 2013[/editline]
Unless you also don't know how to use a knife properly in which case which is what I would expect is that you would cut yourself to the bone with 1 of my kitchen knives.
Whats the big deal about the breakfast I haven't even had it before and every time I go I get the mcnuggets and fries and its delicous as FUCK
