Yeah getting grabbed by the throat and screamed at at a busy intersection by a homophobic dad is teen angst. Also falling off a see-saw and hitting my back on a metal pole then passing out for who knows how long while the mother of some little girl laughs at me is also teen angst. Judging by the comments you guys are probably wealthy, comfortable, straight white suburban teens who've never had to worry in their life.
I'm a gay as fuck student who lives with both of his unemployed parents in the middle of rural Devon during one of the worst financial crises that Britain has ever had. And you know what? You're still retarded!
Wait, if you were passed out, how did you know she was laughing at you?
No no, I a landed on my lower spine and suddenly couldn't breathe or move my legs, and dragged myself to the nearest person croaking 'help', which happened to be either a cunt or thought i was trying to be funny.
Stop provoking him, this isn't going to end well.
it's going to go the same as any FP argument it'll continue for 7 pages, people will get banned for flaming, and nobody will win in the end
No no, I a landed on my lower spine and suddenly couldn't breathe or move my legs, and dragged myself to the nearest person croaking 'help', which happened to be either a cunt or thought i was trying to be funny.
I thought you said you passed out. You lied.
Saying I have experienced pain of some sort in my life is a completely separate point to my opinion that him telling her to "well do something useful and show me your tits" made him seem like a douchebag. It was just to refute his statement that I'm some sort of pampered sheltered wealthyboy.
Alright, I concede my original statement and instead say that you're just a garden variety asshole. Also if the only two moments that really stand out as being traumatic is some asshole grabbing you in front of total strangers, and falling off a see-saw and hurting your back, than you're not really refuting the argument that you're a pampered sheltered wealthyboy.
Pls donate to the TonyP appeal
Wow nice way to take my posts the wrong way guys.
Wow nice way to take my posts the wrong way guys.
nice way to be an edgy teen angst feminazi
It's not even about him, it's just that bitching at a woman trying to help you and saying she's essentially useful only as a pair of tits is extremely douchey regardless of if you try to color it with ridiculous military idolatry that everyone seems to partake in.
lol You're right. What a dick he was. He should have thought about how this person was helping him and he should have said please and thank you too. Totally unproffesional and an obvious eye opener showing how misogynistic and sexist the british military truly is. All soldiers should have to attend sensitivity camps that train them on how to be more polite when their FUCKING LEGS ARE BLOWN OFF
I thought you said you passed out. You lied.
Wow, you know, it should be easy to understand that the passing out takes place after the women began her laughing without me having to say "then I went unconscious".
This thread is so far off the rails now.
nice way to be an edgy teen angst feminazi
Yay let's all jump to wild conclusions about my entire persona just because I think his statement sounded douchey.
also remember if you're being interrogated by a woman you should only call her an asshole, not a bitch.
My gender-neutral slur of choice is cuntmuffin. Asshole is too generic. are you guys having fun yet or do you want to back to the fact that a kid got his legs blown off in Afghanistan
Wow, you know, it should be easy to understand that the passing out takes place after the women began her laughing without me having to say "then I went unconscious".
Would it have eased your pain if the woman was topless. Y/N
Wow, you know, it should be easy to understand that the passing out takes place after the women began her laughing without me having to say "then I went unconscious".
Maybe she was laughing because you were being overly dramatic about something fairly trivial?

[editline]26th March 2013[/editline] There's also that on post about how you know what pain is because you fell off a see-saw.
That's an entirely unrelated argument. Some guy said I have never gotten hurt, and I responded with two examples to show I have indeed gotten hurt. It's a completely different book by a different author and different genre. Just pretend that him asking if I've ever gotten hurt was in a different thread, and you will understand what I'm trying to explain to you.

It'd be like me going into a thread about some pilot making a mistake during a landing, and citing how "I've played Flight Simulators before so it's totally ok for me to judge him."
Maybe she was laughing because you were being overly dramatic about something fairly trivial?
A little boy getting injured on a metal pole and going unconscious asking for help from an adult is dramatic?
The guys jumping TonyP because of somewhat insensible statement are actually worse than his statement. All I'm reading is "heh, look at that tonyp, making such a wrong statement, now it's MY time to SHOW HIM WHAT AN INCONSIDERATE ASSHOLE HE IS! HA! HEH! I AM SUCH A GOOD PERSON!!!!"
That's an entirely unrelated argument. Some guy said I have never gotten hurt, and I responded with two examples to show I have indeed gotten hurt. Just pretend that him asking if I've ever gotten hurt was in a different thread, and you will understand what I'm trying to explain to you.
No we won't understand because what you're saying still makes no fucking sense. The guy had both his legs blown off, so he lost a lot of blood and is in a pain more terrible than I think anyone here can imagine and then he's drugged up on the maximum dose of morphine that he is able to have. Aswell, British humour is very different to pretty much everywhere apart from Australia. The guy was trying to make the most terrible situation ever into something he could laugh about, he obviously didn't actually mean what he said. You honestly haven't given a single valid point yet.
But it wasn't in a different thread, it was in response to you acting like this guy was way out of line to make a sexual comment while hopped up on morphine, suffering from blood loss, and of course the massive amount of pain that comes from losing both of your legs.
I do not know how you still don't understand.
A little boy getting injured on a metal pole and going unconscious asking for help from an adult is dramatic?
Let's put it this way: her response was wrong if it happened as you describe. Still, it's hardly something that is going to scar you for life. It would be like me claiming to know what it means to really be in pain by talking about how I broke my arm as a kid. It isn't a unique experience, and doesn't make me an expert on pain.
We're dealing with different magnitudes of pain here. It'd be like me going into a thread about some pilot making a mistake during a landing, and citing how "I've played Flight Simulators before so it's totally ok for me to judge him."
He never said so. He never even made a connection between his pain and the soldiers pain. People were concluding he never felt true pain and he told a story of his life and suddenly people jumped to the conclusion that tonyp wanted to say that his pain was comparable(which he never did) so they can give him more shit.
this thread went from "lol this guy lost his legs but still made a joke" to "i'm tonyp and my life is harder than a soldiers"
There are two discussions going on here. One is the one about me thinking his comment was douchey. The other is me saying I indeed have gotten hurt before. Just because he asked me if I have ever gotten hurt as some way to say that I've never gotten my legs blown off doesn't mean I carried that point into my response in any way.
