cocaine is way worse but weed isn't harmless either. as an adult i just recommend kids (as in teenagers or little kids) to stay from that shit. not just weed but the stuff i do too at the clubs. i got my own problems to sort out. i knew a lot of guys from my job who got hooked on weed and then went to ecstasy then a little bit of cocaine, then more. it was gradual. weed may not be a Physical Addiction/Illness like alcoholism or meth but it can certainly be a psychological one.
Gateway theory is invalid, bro
i'm baked so this is giving me some warm satisfaction
I like weed.
if it's invalid then how come i've experienced it with people who i knew? surely it doesn't work on every single host/user, but saying it's invalid is just an excuse to use it even more.
weed is the easiest illicit drug to get if it was true i would be a heroin addict right now so would most of my friends i just hang out with smart friends, not stupid

The only circumstances that induce what you're talking about are, 1. Drug dealers deal different kinds of drugs. He offers you something else, and, because of marijuana being mixed in with them, THEN you're led on. 2. Preexisting psychological behavior. I've read that one percent of marijuana users use cocaine. Less than one use harder drugs. That's nothing of a trend to me.
Actually, I believe the gateway theory is somewhat logical. People will do weed, and want to see if anything is better, to have more fun. Though I'm pretty sure they won't just jump to heroin and kill themselves.
Still doesn't matter if it's still illegal on the federal books. When the inevitable day comes that another conservative bible-bashing idiot gains control of the administration, the DEA will be rounding up Californians in the streets for federal drug violations.
I don't see why Federal law matters more than state law, I thought the states were allowed to have the freedom to make laws as they saw fit?
This is great news. I can't find any logical reason why cannabis shouldn't be legalized, especially when 80 proof liquor and pharmaceuticals are readily available to the public.....hell, people buy that shit without batting an eye. Let's hope it gets legalized, and the trend continues across the rest of the nation.

Stoner against prop 19 here.

Beer is a gateway to heroin. Just because something COULD lead to use of hard drugs in some people does not make it dangerous in its own right and doesn't mean it should be illegal. It means people need to be aware of the extent of their self-control.
Stoner against prop 19 here.
Why? That doesn't even make sense [editline]07:32PM[/editline] Actually maybe it does, what's your reasoning?
Why? That doesn't even make sense [editline]07:32PM[/editline] Actually maybe it does, what's your reasoning?
theres a huge (well not big, but yeah) thread in the drug discussion. theres this blog that says "prop 19 is doing more bad than good, its not actually legalizing, its making more restrictions, etc" its all bullshit
How could it possibly make more restrictions?
tax weed erry day

weed sucks, i do cocaine. it's better for parties and when i'm clubbing.
Pussy, I mainline a mix of black tar heroin, pcp, and pure grain alcohol.
Hey man I totaled my car and almost died more than you did, pussy.
Stoner against prop 19 here.
Doesn't that mean that you essentially condone and sometimes support organized crime?
Doesn't that mean that you essentially condone and sometimes support organized crime?
That's KINDA like saying if you pay taxes then you support war Kinda.
This is great and all, but not all around good. Wait until the tobacco companies start producing and selling Marijuana. Not just weed, but already rolled joints, marijuana cigars, etc. Marijuana WILL become harmful then, because the tobacco companies will put all the horrible shit that's in cigarettes into their marijuana, just to make it more addictive, and then they can sell it for even more than they do cigarettes.
Yes but you would have the opportunity to change this.
I don't smoke. I don't "hate" people who smoke weed, but I guess I don't feel as much respect for them as I do others. However, I would probably in favor of legalizing this. I may not like it but it would certainly be a good way to get money.
There is a big thread in the DD discussing why this is not a good bill.
i'm just saying i've had personal experiences with people who've started with weed and it made them experiment with harder substances when they used to go out clubbing with me back in the day. now they mostly do the harder substances than weed because it's too 'light' for them as some of them say. as i said, i'm not saying everyone is going to be that weak-willed to jump to harder drugs, but from my experience it's possible with some people. though i do agree with you on the self-control part.
Your personal experience doesn't mean anything. When you start making facts off of a few friends you have, you start making falsities in your head. Of course they seem really true and valid to you, but they aren't at all in reality. Personal experience is the worst and most unreliable evidence.
Doesn't that mean that you essentially condone and sometimes support organized crime?
Only insofar as it produces the basis of great movies
There is a big thread in the DD discussing why this is not a good bill.
Omfg did you just change boobs to ass, go back dude!
Read this. This law will change that to only how much you can grow in a 5x5 grow space. PER PROPERTY, Not per person. Right now if you have the card, you smoke weed anywhere that allows tobacco smoking. Also you can't smoke if there are minor present. But whos going to really obey that.
Sure it's not a perfect bill. But dang if it isn't a great start for world wide legalization.
I'm fucking sick and tired of all of this. Weed is not a harmful substance and has never caused any harm to anyone (except threat to the cotton industry due to hemp). It should be my fucking legal right to do whatever the fuck I want with it.
