how can one actually compare valve's lack of communication and their lack of describing how their anti cheat works to blizzard potentially sueing a ton of people for a rediculous amount of money?
I'm talking about their passivity (or otherwise lack of action) against cheat makers. How can you seriously, with an iota of common sense, call this a bad move by Blizzard? They're trying to destroy the source of the problem rather than just letting it continue. Are you seriously implying that this is a bad idea? It sets a precedent and discourages other people from doing the same. You should know Blizzard is not in it for the money; they just want cheatmaking to be a legal infraction.

They did this for Wow bots, power-leveling services, hearthstone bots, for various Starcraft 2 Cheats. It never got better, it never solved any problems.
I can't ethically justify ruining multiple people's lives because of a cheat for a game.
They've won comparable previous cases, like against the Glider bot.
Originally, they did not win that case. They went back to that case later and sued them for using 'WoW' in the name WoWGlider, and won in their copyright claim.
