This is so transparent. A lot of people in this thread do not understand politics, and more specifically, Iranian politics.

Neither do you.
ITT
-people call out a middle eastern dictator on his publicity stunt
-Facepunch Islamic Defense Force comes to defend the actions of a man who has women stoned to death for adultery (same people who flip out over american cops shooting criminals in self defense lol) and portray him as an awesome, badass, and sexy man who they would love to give a rimjob to.
This is the car FYI
$2000 woooAHH how generous!
Plus somebody would buy it considering that the president of Iran drove in it.
Imagine buying Obama's old car. It would sell for millions.
That one-upping bastard.
For those of you who live in the U.S., you can expect a Mercedes Benz in front of your door in the next few weeks or so.
Raydark, the US definitely doesn't support the iranian government. Just because we have some of the same enemies doesn't make us allies. And your argument about "abide the law or leave" is completely nonsensical. People there often don't have the luxury of just packing up and heading off to a friendlier regime if they feel oppressed by the law.
Also, Ahmadinejad is a backwards, ultra-conservative pig in an already conservative environment. Let's not forget what he said when he came and spoke in the US about how Iran "doesn't have gays because Iranians know that's wrong". I don't care what he does with his 30 year old cars, it's his ideologies I want scrapped.

Shhh, you might make Facepunchers realize that hating one country doesn't mean you have to support their opposition!
Maybe those that buy it get a special surprise when they first start it.
:v:

I'm pretty sure it's common sense that Iran is not Iraq.

I don't care for this regime. But why would you break the law if you know there are backwards and stupid punishments for doing so?
I don't care for this regime. But why would you break the law if you know there are backwards and stupid punishments for doing so?
For the same reason you break any law: it is illogical and an overreaching of governmental powers. I'm not saying all the Iranian women should take off all their clothes and run ass-naked through the streets or graffiti Muhammad's on the walls. But those massive protests they had last year? Those citizens showed the world they were dissatisfied and wanted a change. Break the law to change the law, if it comes to that.

pretty much this. it's like they're willing to support this jackass just because they have an opposition to israel in common. ridiculous.
hahahah, I love seeing Raydark act like he's smarter or mature than anyone else in this discussions.
Only $2000? You'd think the president's car would sell better.
At two grand, He's on par with my 92 GEO Tracker. :v:
the UN had no right to sanction iran
the UN had no right to sanction iran
Really? Explain why you think the UN shouldn't place sanctions on Iran.
Really? Explain why you think the UN shouldn't place sanctions on Iran.
because all it does is make the people of iran suffer? because iran has as much right to nuclear power as any other nation?
because all it does is make the people of iran suffer? because iran has as much right to nuclear power as any other nation?
Because if Iran's nuclear ambitions were limited to peaceful nuclear purposes, such as clean power, the sanctions wouldn't be passed.
For instance, the UN Security Council unamimously passed more sanctions in 2008. China's comment on it, while passing it:
"President Hu Jintao voted in favour of the resolution as "to create a safer world for all, we must first and foremost remove the threat of nuclear war." However, he stressed "the right of all countries to the peaceful use of nuclear energy."
You're really kidding yourself if you think Iran doesn't have an ulterior motive when nuclearising themselves.
Ahmadinejad is not a good man, and is not a good man for the people of Iran.

oh please, it's been proven again and again that the type of reactor they are building and the nuclear material they are buying from turkey & russia (and brazil??? i dont remember) could NOT be used to create nuclear weapons. i agree he's not a good man and i sincerely hope the people of iran one day overthrow his jackass and install a secular democratic government.
