your acting as if atheist bias is what was wrong with my post, so I said my atheism has nothing to do with it.
Okay, part one completed, lets move on.
Now, what the fuck are you even arguing?
[editline]7th November 2012[/editline]
I spoke out against anti-theists and then you started claiming I said Theists are better.

You expect me to know what I'm arguing?
this is fp for gods sake were it's socially a norm to nose dive into an argument for no good reason.
seriously though, IMHO nothing is wrong with pro-theism or anti-theism unless it's effective their political decisions. I don't see anything wrong with either, and since there are so many pro theists why not have an anti theist in there? At least balance the scale :v:
I would want an anti-theist in there partly to simply prove that america is progressive enough to regress from a heavily religious political base.
That being said I wouldn't vote any radical pro/anti's in if that's what their main "Thing" is.
I spoke out against anti-theists and then you started claiming I said Theists are better.
I said Theists are equally as bad. And seeing how much they're in there, there shouldn't be any issue with an anti theist unless you remove them as well.

dehehue you asked me why i'm being an idiot so i'm gonna reply with "its fp lol!!"
jinx please its okay go back to /r/atheism, be with your kind

except I said theists are equally as bad and I'd rather not listen to people bitch about how "evil" religion is.
and you didn't detect the sarcasm in "it's fp lol"
all he said was that anti theists suck if you disagree shut up and if you agree you have no reason to be incessantly moaning on and on about the fact that he didn't go out of his way to include theists in the list of people who are cunts even though they were never brought up to begin with
I can't even comprehend what is being argued here besides ego.
You expect me to know what I'm arguing?
Yes.

This is terrible logic
I would want an anti-theist in there partly to simply prove that america is progressive enough to regress from a heavily religious political base.
So you acknowledge anti-theists are bad as theists - Then you say you want anti-theists to show being progressive.
Meaning that's good
meaning you're contradicting yourself.
And how does that work? Going from one extreme to the next makes you progressive? Okay, so it should be okay to have a black man in office who is racist towards white people to show America is progressive. Or maybe Valerie Solanas should have run for office to show that America is progressive with Women's rights.
Are you making these dumb arguments on purpose or what?
It's big news that a senator is bisexual, but why is it big news that she's atheist? Our nation's really far behind if that's news at all.

73% of the US is Christian. So yes, it's a big deal.

if you dare insult anti theists you have to go out of your way to explicitly remind people you dislike theists too otherwise you're being completely unfair
he's literally just complaining that somebody didn't go out of their way to bring a mostly unrelated party into the argument. it's like if goblin said "if you rape people, you're literally a cunt", jinx would come in crying about how he didn't mention that murderers and thieves are cunts too
all he said was that anti theists suck if you disagree shut up and if you agree you have no reason to be incessantly moaning on and on about the fact that he didn't go out of his way to include theists in the list of people who are cunts even though they were never brought up to begin with
I'm trying to explain that being anti theist doesn't' automatically mean they shouldn't be politics / are complete cunts off the bat
you can continue not reading what I just said though
Yes.
This is terrible logic
So you acknowledge anti-theists are bad as theists - Then you say you want anti-theists to show being progressive.
Meaning that's good
in the sense that it would be more socially acceptable to also be the opposite of an anti theist
meaning you're contradicting yourself.
It would be like having the opposite of the WBC (if possible), still unacceptable, but getting there
And how does that work? Going from one extreme to the next makes you progressive? Okay, so it should be okay to have a black man in office who is racist towards white people to show America is progressive. Or maybe Valerie Solanas should have run for office to show that America is progressive with Women's rights.

except anti theist and pro theist are you know
opposites
Again, your logic of skipping slowing moving to a happy medium is just going to a fucking extreme
what the hell is even wrong with you?

probably too much coffee making me unable to explain myself correctly, but I still don't think you're getting it.
I was trying to say "It's about a light of atheism breaking through enough for someone with such radical ideas to be accepted politically"
probably too much coffee making me unable to explain myself correctly
You should probably stop fucking posting.
Woah cool, that's my district and also I did vote for her.

"I don't like their opinion therefore they are horrible people"
whoa are we still playing that game where we pretend like any argument or opinion has legitimacy
sorry bro but that whole thing is just an excuse to be a shit person and proud of it
In other news New Hampshire elected the first all female delegation, so that's pretty cool
In Arizona?
Wow. That's kinda surprising. I thought that they were very Republican.
A large majority are, but just because they are doesn't mean they necessarily need/want to vote for only Republican candidates.
I personally registered Republican, but I voted for quite a few Democrats/Independents as well for their policies/ideas as well.
Never a bad thing to have differing opinions/ideas in Washington.

Also, Arizona surprisingly went with Paul Babeu for Penal County sheriff again after his controversal coming out earlier this year.
