WHAT THE FUCK,
They might as well ask every teatcher who has ever had sex and owns a camera that.
Yeah, how the hell do you think the kids were made? You guessed it, sex... and what did this porn star do? just happen to do that on cam.
Also, it seems like the guy isn't answering at all but they're being forceful about it and saying he did despite any real answers.
This is harassment. This isn't journalism, this is a child with a camera, in the form of a 'journalist', pretending he's doing good, when he isn't doing shit.
As for the parents, fucking 1950's soccer moms.
You'll never be surprised that Fox News ALWAYS uses a public hate and ignorance as a WMD.
Fucking assholes.
Hytch Cawke.
Subtle.
That whole story is dumb as shit anyway. The teacher would be in fault if he did the said movies AFTER starting a proper teacher career, but it's not the case, so go eat a dick Fox News. His, preferably.

Why should he be in trouble for that?
Teacher+Porn star is a weird mix yes but there is absolutely nothing wrong with that

AFAIK having two paid jobs at the same time is illegal.
And making amateur porn videos while being a teacher is just a very good way of shitting on your own reputation, especially if you're teaching to teenage students who are very likely to find your video (which I don't think is that guy's case though).
Plus, if porn isn't "wrong" in itself you have to remember it's considered a profession with little to no morals behind it - you're having sex in order to satisfy thousands of horny, lonely people with no respect of your own intimacy. Sure, this and prostitution exist since the beginning of time but it's still at the complete opposite of a job like Teacher that is supposed to, well, teach morals and self-respect. You don't go like "respect the others" when you are seen in a video having your ass destroyed by a huge black dong or destroying another's ass while calling him/her a little bitch.

Uhm no, having two jobs is not illegal. You usually have to ask your current employer if you may (depending on what your contract says), but it's definitely not illegal.

In France it's illegal to have 2 declared jobs because people fraud with that. I thought it was the same everywhere.
But even with that out of the way, you're still asking for a bad reputation if you're making porn movies AFTER finding a job, especially if said job implicates a lot of kids, and even more specifically if said job implicates teens who probably will find your porno one day or another.

He was using a fake name, the only way students would find it is if they came across it by coincidence. It wouldn't even be an issue if this prick of a journalist hadn't blurted it out so everyone in the school can look him up. Not only that but from what I've read most of the students don't even give a shit.

He did it BEFORE being a teacher, so yeah, there is nothing that should be done about it - it's here, deal with it.
My post was talking about the specific case of one being in a porno AFTER finding a job, which is kinda stupid.
I really don't see the problem, imo the kids are acting more like adults than the adults themselves by not caring what he did, and not judging him for something in the past.

It doesn't change anything. It is still something which shouldn't even be an issue and wouldn't be if the reporter hadn't stepped in and stirred the big crock of shit around.

The all mighty internet makes no one safe. If we were still at a time when porn was only findable in rare video stores, then okay, it wouldn't be an issue. But if you make a porn video, someone will eventually notice you, so doing it after being a teacher is dumb because it's deliberately giving people a chance to find you naked getting it on with someone else.

Not the same generation.
Though to be honest if I had teacher and found a video that was made while the guy was a teacher I would probably have a problem with that. I mean come the fuck on, you're a teacher, you're supposed to do stuff like prepare your next lesson and do test corrections, not shoot porns - find one activity and stick to it.
Someone needs to backhand the reporter.

Well no shit, just don't film yourself stuffing an ass or getting yours stuffed if you want to keep your job, because it's not acceptable. It's not going to corrupt kids or make the world implode, it's just porn and porn isn't something you're supposed to do when you're a teacher.

He used an alias for a damn reason. He keeps his professional/school life completely separate from his personal/sex life. Who, in their right mind, would combine the two?
It was completely segregated until this reporter butted his nose in where it didn't belong and then announcing it for the rest of the world to see.

Hence why I said it wasn't acceptable WHEN YOU ARE ALREADY WORKING AS A TEACHER.
FFS I wrote it in caps like four or five times in the same page. He wasn't acting as a porn star while being a teacher, it was his former job. In that case there is nothing to blame, my posts only concern the case of him or anyone shooting pornos while already working as a teacher.
[editline]1st December 2011[/editline]
Now the real question is, how did Fox find out about that movie ? I doubt they just go out and rent all the pornos they can find and investigate the name of each actor who was in the movie until they find one who has another decent job now, someone probably denounced the guy, knowing how far it would go (fox news and homosexuality, it can't go anywhere near fine)

The explain this: why does having sex, under consenting and legal circumstances, suddenly make someone unfit to teach teenagers?
The whole article is one big logical fallacy.
Yeah, how the hell do you think the kids were made? You guessed it, sex... and what did this porn star do? just happen to do that on cam.

Just for the heads up, it was gay porn. How can two gays make babies? :v:
The explain this: why does having sex, under consenting and legal circumstances, suddenly make someone unfit to teach teenagers?
You forgot "while being filmed for the movie to be sent on the internet where thousands of people including individuals who know you can recognize your face".
Shooting a porno and accept to make it worldwide accessible is an act that lacks moral, because you give up your own intimacy for the sake of other's horniness. This is not something that a teacher, who is supposed to teach morals like "respect yourself and the others" or don't do what you're telling other people not to do, is supposed to do.
Plus, as shitty as the situation is, pornography is seen as a very bad thing and by a lot of people as a new mean of prostitution. Making a porno while being in a position that is seen as drastically opposed to this is giving a stick to get beaten with it. This is society - you have to abide by certain rules and moral standards. Does that mean they don't have to change ? No, that just means you must keep a certain image of yourself (even while fighting for morals to change) as long as said morals are still in place.
Now the problem here is that the reaction is completely out of proportion. The guy didn't shoot a porno while being a teacher with the intention of having it seen by everyone and surely didn't expect a team dedicated to find these cases to run his career to the ground, and because he's homosexual, he's getting even more attention. In that case, you can't blame the guy for shooting a porno BEFORE being a teacher, and even if he shot it while being one, the only thing you could blame him of is, well, having shot a porno, which isn't the most recommendable thing to do for the reasons named above, and it still wouldn't be worth so much attention.
No, you don't 'have' to abide by morals.
Being in porn doesn't give anyone the right to fire you, it's your right to do that, and it's not their right to fire you for that.

Teachers are supposed to teach their respective subject(s) be it mathematics or history or English. Raising children is the parents' responsibility, don't put that burden on the educators.

The only people I know who actually think it's a bad thing are uptight conservatives and soccer moms. This isn't the dark ages where someone would be beaten to a pulp if they were suspected of heresy. The guy had sex, it's not shocking and unheard of. Most people won't even care about it unless someone makes it a big deal for no reason or they are a celebrity, stalked by the paparazzi.
Hahahaha... "morals"
you're funny.
Yes, it should disturb all parents because all gay porn stars, porn stars all in all, start their day in classroom by flanging their dicks around and teaching anal arousal.
fuck, this is idiotic.

And I never said they had the right to fire you for that, I said the complete opposite if you read carefully.
And, yes, you have to abide by morals. That's why they exist.
If you want to keep a clean reputation and avoid to be known as the teacher who got fucked for money, you have to avoid being in a porno, that's common fucking sense.
Now the guy did it before being a teacher so he couldn't know, so he's far from being blamable of doing all that stuff.

Morals vary pretty wildly from person to person.
Morals vary pretty wildly from person to person.
Of course they do, but I doubt much people would publicly admit watching porn anywhere else than the internet - and even people who admit it use the good old argument "everyone else does it".
This shows pornography is still a taboo, and it will probably stay that way for long time. For the time being, starring in pornography isn't a good idea, period.

So what?
Just because the majority of people don't agree with it, no one should do it? Should we be an entirely absolutist democratic society, where things can only be done if the majority approves of it? If less than 51% of the population agrees with any certain thing, then no one should ever do it, ever? What kind of backwards logic is that?
If someone wants to do porn, that's their choice. It doesn't affect me or anyone else, outside the immediately active parties, in any way whatsoever.
If someone wants to do porn while working as a janitor, that's their choice. It doesn't affect me or anyone else, outside the immediately active parties in the porn production, in any way whatsoever.
If someone wants to do porn while working as a programmer, that's their choice. It doesn't affect me or anyone else, outside the immediately active parties in the porn production, in any way whatsoever.
You see where I'm going with this?
Just because some people think something is bad doesn't make it inherently bad. Just because most people think something is bad doesn't make it inherently bad. And then there is a schism between morality and legality, so whether or not it's "bad" is irrelevant, so long as its legal.
Well you can do whatever you want but you have to expect the consequences.
Being badly seen is a consequence of shooting porn while being a teacher.
