Exactly, how can you be rational and objective when such a terrible thing has occurred.
If his five-year-old son were only murdered, 40 years would be a just punishment. If he got murderraped, it'd be nice to see 60. Rape-murder-cannibalized? Multiple death penalties.
Thing is, would killing his son's murderer really take away the pain?
Not the point, it's retribution not a quest for peace or solace.
Killing someone won't resurrect his son, why bother?
You're acting like humans are logical, humans aren't logical in any sense of the word, we act idiotic over small things like emotions without caring for what happens afterwards.
The guy shouldn't have been allowed to live this long. The Death Penalty should be held for the most inhumane individuals, like this animal. Men go to prison, dogs get put down.
Oh look it's a Rorschach quote! :v:
Thing is, would killing his son's murderer really take away the pain?
I dont think thats the idea of revenge. Revenge is more of a statisfation than it is pain relief. It makes the person feel powerful, that they are in control, and sometimes makes them feel like some sort of law. Normally though the people who enact revenge are just batshit crazy.
quick this guy is a monster, we have to murder him to SAVE SOCIETY!!!!
While I don't think the victim should be allowed to kill the guy, I want to know why the guy wasn't given a life sentence.
Thing is, would killing his son's murderer really take away the pain?
It'd give him closure.
Thing is, would killing his son's murderer really take away the pain?
no, but it would help
I can't say I'd care if this cannibalistic murderer got offed
No, no. You've got the wrong mentality. He shouldn't have been sent to prison; he needs to be rehabilitated. :v:
Jesus Christ, a 5 year old boy brutally murdered and then EATEN That should be a fucking life sentence.
